Chapter 26
Chapter 26
Jayden's accurate guess made me smile immediately because at least someone thought that Richard, who had always seemed perfect, was a stupid Alpha who knew nothing, because that was the truth. I didn't want to brag, but after thinking about it, without me, Alpha Jayden was indeed useless.
“You're right, Alpha. Do you realize now how sad I am and how much I don't want to be the replacement Alpha?” I asked honestly.
“May I be honest, Miss Erica?” Jayden asked, looking at my expression to see if I was offended or not.
“Of course, Alpha Hayden, you can do that, so you don't need to worry.” I nodded my head in agreement.
“I actually don't think you're pathetic, you're just a very stupid woman for believing in something called love, when love is just nonsense that deceives people and ultimately takes advantage of them.”
“You're quite honest, Alpha Jayden. You're right because I was very naive before, but I won't do anything that stupid again.” I also felt ashamed to admit everything, but what could I do? I couldn't avoid the truth about myself.
“Excuse me, Alpha, it's me, Axel.” Soon after, the people Alpha Jayden mentioned arrived.
“Come in now and don't forget to close the door.” Jayden ordered in a firm tone, and his subordinates entered the large and luxurious room.
After the two men he called came in, Jayden began to install special protection on the room. I realized this because I saw for myself that there was a transparent barrier in front of me, and I didn't know if only I could see it or if other people could see it too.
“What's going on, Alpha?” asked Axel, Jayden's Beta.
I had also met Axel briefly before because he was the man who came into this room yesterday to deliver a letter from the Cendana Pack. At first, I thought he was just an ordinary soldier delivering a letter, but I realized that Alpha had the same power as Axel.
“I want you to prepare a blood seal agreement that I will sign now with Miss Erica, and I want you two to be the witnesses,” said Jayden, surprising the two men who had just arrived.
“Alpha, are you sure?” Axel asked immediately, glancing briefly in my direction.
“I've thought everything through. I want you two to be witnesses, not to interrogate me here. This is an order!” Jayden's command silenced the two men, and Jayden also released his aura as an Alpha, making it a little difficult for the two men to breathe.
“Are you sure, Alpha? I won't stop you from doing what you want to do, but this is very risky. Are you really sure because this agreement cannot be canceled no matter what happens?” The elder asked in a serious tone because I also understood the elder's concern for their Alpha.
“You don't need to worry, David. I've thought this through carefully, and I won't do anything stupid that will disappoint you.” Jayden's firm answer seemed to convince the two men, and I also chose to remain silent because it was not my place to speak.
“Okay, Alpha, but can this agreement only be made if you and she are in the same Pack?” asked the old man named David, looking at Jayden once more.
“You're right, David and Erica. Show them the tattoos on your arms.” Jayden gave me the order.
Not wanting to waste any time, I immediately showed them both the tattoo on my hand.
I could see that they were both surprised to see my tattoo because their Alpha had made me part of the pack without their knowledge.
“This Alpha?” Elder David even came closer to me to get a better look at the tattoo on my hand.
“That's right, David. Is this enough for you?” Jayden asked, and David nodded his head without saying a word.
“All right, Erica, tell us again what you want, and Axel, write everything down carefully.” Jayden gave his orders to me and Axel.
“Okay, Aloha,” Axel suddenly took out a piece of paper, and I repeated everything I wanted. After that, Jayden did the same thing. The man also repeated all of his wishes, which were that I had to help him as a companion and that this agreement would be valid for a full year.
“Let's shed our blood,” Alpha Jayden said to me after Axel had written the agreement. I quickly nodded my head.
"I took the small dagger that Axel gave me, and Alpha Jayden also took another dagger to draw his blood.
Now my blood and Jayden's blood were united on the paper, which began to float and instantly changed color to gold, signifying that the agreement I had made with Alpha Jayden was successful.
“Okay, everything is done, Alpha, so when are you going to announce it to everyone? I'm sure everyone will welcome this with great happiness,” David asked with a cheerful face.
I don't know if Elder David was happy because finally someone was accompanying Alpha Jayden after so long or if there was another reason behind his happiness, but I didn't care. At least now I had everything I wanted.
“I want to hold a banquet in three days, but I will make the announcement to the elders tomorrow. Is that okay? I think this is the right time because in a week there will be a meeting between the Alphas held by the King Werewolf Kingdom, and it's impossible for me to go back to that place alone again at this five-year meeting.” Jayden chuckled softly, and I did remember that five years ago, for the first and last time, I accompanied Richard to that place, and I realized that Jayden didn't bring his partner there. In fact, he just stood in the corner of the room, and even the King Werewolf joked with him about finding him a partner.
But as far as I remember, the man refused, and I felt that Jayden was a little uncomfortable there because the Alphas let their Lunas do the work for them because, in fact, the Alphas wanted to show the world that the Lunas accompanying them were talented, and the event was only held once every five years.
“You’re right, Alpha, and I’ve also heard about how amazing Luna Erica is, making all the other Lunas admire her greatly.” Axel praised me openly, making me feel very embarrassed.
