"Paul, I have something to do. I'll leave first."
James spotted the huge transfer on his phone and left the cafeteria before finishing his meal.
Just then, his phone rang.
James quickly took out his phone and answered the call.
"Who is this?"
"Is this Mr. Smith?" A deep, steady voice of a middle-aged man came from the other end of the line.
"I'm James. Who are you?" James responded after a moment of confusion.
"Well, there's an inheritance you need to claim. When would you be available?" The middle-aged man spoke respectfully.
"Inheritance? Was that money you just transferred to me?" James asked.
"Yes, the ten billion dollars is only a small part of the inheritance. Most comprise fixed assets and overseas funds that need processing before transferring them to you."
My goodness!
Ten billion was just a small part of the inheritance?
"I'm an orphan; I don't have any inheritance to claim!"
"Mr. Smith, I'll explain everything when you come over. If you have time this afternoon, you can come to the 38th floor of the Innovation Hub Tower. I'll explain everything to you in person," the middle-aged man said slowly.
James hesitated momentarily, then softly replied, "Alright, I'll come find you this afternoon."
"Good, James!"
The other party politely hung up the phone.
After leaving, James returned alone to his rented apartment outside the campus.
Since James had to deliver food at night and couldn't get off work until at least 1 AM, he couldn't return to his dormitory, which would be closed by then. So, he rented a room in a shared apartment.
Although the room James rented was less than ten square meters, he felt it was enough for him.
It was only noon, so James thought he should nap in his rental apartment to recharge. He planned to learn more at the Innovation Hub Tower in the afternoon.
His stomach suddenly growled and he needed to use the toilet.
James quickly grabbed some toilet paper and rushed to the bathroom.
While sitting on the toilet, James started playing a mobile game.
But the bathroom door suddenly swung open just as he was engrossed in the game.
A beautiful woman in a lace nightgown rubbed her eyes, looking drowsy as she walked in.
After entering the bathroom, she looked in the mirror and ran her fingers through her hair, still half-asleep.
James was sitting on the toilet right behind her.
She didn't see him and started to undress, reaching for her waist!
The woman lifted her sexy lace nightgown, inch by inch, revealing her alluring waist and a tempting black strap!
She had a great figure, a delicate face, long legs, and wavy golden hair, full of youthful charm.
James was stunned, forgetting to speak for a moment!
When the woman had halfway undressed, she suddenly opened her eyes and glanced at the mirror in the bathroom.
Seeing the shocked James behind her, she snapped awake.
Without hesitation, she grabbed some cosmetics nearby and threw them at James.
Various cosmetics flew towards him, hitting him directly.
"James! You pervert!"
The woman screamed and stumbled out of the bathroom.
James quickly pulled up his pants and ran out after her.
He bumped into the sofa in his rush, which hurt a lot.
After catching his breath, James shouted towards the neighboring room, "Linda, are you crazy!"
The woman was Linda Parker, who shared an apartment with James.
"Say that again!"
Linda's angry voice came from the room, followed by her sexy figure appearing at the door.
Her face was dark, her eyes sharp as knives, glaring fiercely at James as if she wanted to kill him.
"Fine, I'll say it again! Why did you barge into the bathroom and throw makeup at me?"
James wiped the makeup off his face, clearly annoyed. Just because she's a girl didn't mean she could bully him like this!
Linda's gaze turned cold, gritting her teeth as she stepped forward, ready to hit him.
"You perverted freak. You jerk, were hiding in the bathroom to peep at me, and you still have the nerve!"
Upon hearing this, James jumped up suddenly and exclaimed, "I wasn't peeping at you! Come on, there's barely any space in the bathroom. Where else could I go?"
Linda, who had come over enraged, was stunned.
She had been so angry before, but now she paused to think. Indeed, the bathroom was so small and James had nowhere to hide.
Blushing, Linda continued, "Then why were you hiding in the bathroom?"
"I wasn't hiding in the bathroom. You barged in suddenly."
"Do you think everyone is like you, hiding at home all day, not working or going to school?"
"I have things to do later. I don't have time to argue with you!"
James retorted unkindly at Linda.
