There were endless thoughts running through my mind. Mandy's call was perhaps the best one that had happened to me in a long time. Now I just wanted to get ready and get out of that horrible place. Maybe meeting my friends at our favorite bar would make me feel better.

As soon as I was ready, I put on some light makeup and opened the door to my room. I was wearing a short black dress with glitter around my waist and black high heels.

As soon as I stepped out into the hallway my eyes widened as I saw Derek's beta, Garvin, standing in front of me.

The man looked at me with an uncomfortable expression on his face as he ran his eyes from my feet to my head. "Where are you going Miss Katlyn?" he asked me curiously.

I froze looking at him with a frown on my face. "I'm going to meet my friends at a bar. Where's your alpha?" I asked without missing his gaze.

"Alpha Derek left with Jessica," Garvin said softly.

When I heard his words a bitterness was felt running through the pit of my stomach.... "Well, when your alpha returns, don't tell him where I'm going" I said.

At that, Garvin's gaze became strange. "But..." He said.

Before he could finish his words, he immediately intervenes "Goodbye Garvin" I said walking away quickly.

I knew perfectly well that Derek would be angry with me when he found out that I had left the mansion, but I didn't care. I couldn't stay here while he fucked his bitches all over the room and not be ignored.

When I left the mansion I called a taxi and went to the bar La gran Bohemia. It had been years before I came back to this place. I was so excited to go again with my friends.

As soon as I got off the taxi, I looked at the big silver lights, the music was quite loud and the whole place smelled of alcohol and sex. It was clear that nothing had changed. I scanned the tables while looking for my friends until a familiar voice was heard in the background.

"Katlyn over here! " Mandy's voice reached my ears, making me let out an excited laugh.

"Guys!" I said walking towards them.

Mandy, Lulu, and Brianna, have been my friends for many years, along with Violet, but after finding her with Marcus, the girls and I had written her off.

"Fuck Katlyn, we miss you so much!" Brianna said, giving me a big hug.

"I didn't know you guys were back" I said sitting down at the table together with Mandy.

"How could we not live? we heard you married an alpha! That's awesome! a human and an alpha!" Lulu said with excitement in her voice.

I was silent for a few seconds. It was all a lie and my friends thought it was love, could this be any more humiliating?

"Yes, Alpha Derek and I are married" I said emotionlessly.

They let out an excited smile " Fuck Katlyn, you're so lucky! That man is the hottest guy in town. I hear he even has a libido beyond any man" Mandy said with a wink.

I laughed bitterly without saying anything. I just took a drink and poured some alcohol" I don't think we should talk about my husband. He wanted to know how the foreigner was" I said, causing them to let out a derisive laugh.

Suddenly Lulu started talking about her experience followed by Brianna and Mandy. All 4 of us were at the table laughing and sharing a bottle of whisky until the subject strangely turned to Violet and Marcus.

When I heard their names all the happiness on my face was gone. Every time I heard their names everything inside me heated up with anger.

I just drank glass after glass of alcohol until my vision became blurred. I wanted to keep drinking to forget my whole life. I didn't want to feel any more pain from Marcus's betrayal, let alone everything Derek was doing to him.

Soon I felt my head spinning and I stood up from the chair, my legs weakened and I swung forward on the verge of falling, until suddenly I noticed someone catch me in mid-air.

My heart jumped at a faint familiar scent. I let out a smirk as I looked up at the person who had caught me. For a second I thought it was Derek, who had sent me to follow and then come to me.

But, my eyes widened in surprise as I looked at the man in front of me, "Handsome" I said with a soft smile on my lips as I brought my wobbly hands up to the boy's perfect face.

"Miss? are you ok?" the man asked me with a fucking attractive smile.

I shook my head and tried to straighten my body and move away from him, but it was useless, I fell back into his arms "No... I'm not ok" I said.

At that moment the voice of one of my friends was heard "Oh, Katlyn... you're so drunk".

"Hey handsome, thanks for catching our friend. We'll take over now" Lulu said with a mischievous tone.

I clearly heard my friend's words, but I clutched my hands around the boy's neck. He was so handsome and he brought me peace, so I felt like I wanted to be closer to him.

In a second my mind was focused on his perfect facial features.

"Come on Katlyn, you are drunk. We have to go back" Brianna said suddenly.

I made a move and moved closer to the handsome man. Who let out an obvious smile on his face" I can help you with your friend" He said.

I smiled at his words and licked my lips. He started to move his legs while holding me in his arms. So my friends had no choice but to let him help me.

"Thank you very much handsome" I said without knowing if I had pronounced it correctly.

Maybe it's because of the excess of alcohol in my body, but this man generated something different in me.

"Where do you live?" Asked the man walking towards the exit of the bar.

"In hell" I said, making the man stop walking to look at me curiously.

"What?" he asked.

I let out a mocking laugh "If you know where hell is, then you know where I live. I live with a demon" I said with a frown. Every time I remembered that my life is meant to be shared with him, I felt anger, but the drunkenness was just hiding my reality.

"Fuck, you're really drunk" Said the man shaking his head.

"I'm sorry... excuse her... she's living with Derek..." Brianna couldn't even finish her words when the man stopped his steps and her expression became surprised and nervous.

"Wait a minute. Are you Derek's wife? " The man asked.

I couldn't help but smile "Yes, I'm just a fake wife" I said not caring that Derek would be mad at me.

"Who would have thought that the woman in my arms is the wife of my friend Derek?" Said the man with a slight smile.

I opened my eyes in disbelief. What? I couldn't believe what this man said. I didn't even remember his face.

"Are you... are you Derek's friend?" I asked, making sure I heard him right.

The man arched his eyebrow and nodded without hesitation.

"Yeah, I'm Riley, yeah mate. I just got back into town a little while ago and came in for a drink" He said.

Hearing that made my stomach turn, how small would the world be? I wanted to ask this man a thousand questions, but I just closed my eyes and let the alcohol consume me.

All I could hear in the distance was the voice of my friends talking to Derek's friend. Suddenly darkness came over me and I fell into a kind of deep sleep.
