Thirty Five
KENDRICK'S POV

I had a lot of issues to resolve in my company. And I also have to finalize a deal with a neighboring company. And this really means alot. This is about billions I'm talking about here.

I rushed quickly and decided to call the person I'm going to meet. I got to my Restaurant and stopped Infront of the Entrance. I could scent something. A very feminine scent. It scents of lavender. I wanted to ignore but I couldn't. I'm here for a business proposal. I can't loose guard anymore. It could be a trick.

This has been going on for the past 5years now. I get easily deceived by any scent thinking it to be my mate. I remembered vividly what happened. I knew I marked her. I felt very foolish for not knowing who she was and how I'm going to find her.

Sighing deeply and ignoring the scent,I entered the Restaurant and was greeted by my workers. I nodded and went hurriedly glancing around for the business partner. The more I looked around the more I could hear my wolf saying.

_our mate is here_. It kept on saying loudly. I couldn't ignore anymore so I had to trace the scent till I finally met her.

My mate!.

She wanted to stand up but i made her sit. Looking up,she looked at me and stood up slowly. We kept on staring at each other. I looked at the table and found out that my mate was the business partner I'm supposed to meet.

Fate!.

She sat slowly back and I did the same. We kept on looking at each other waiting for someone to say a word.

"Hi...erm.. I'm Kendrick". I said stretching my hands for a handshake. She slowly and softly shooky hand and I could swear,I felt a spark. I don't know if she felt it too.

"I'm Lily but you can also call me Lila". She said smiling softly.

"I believe you must be the business partner I'm here to meet. You're late for the meeting you hosted". She replied angrily.

She looked cute when angry. I smiled inwardly.

"Uhmmm sorry about that, I had to settle some issues in my office before running down here. Hope you accept my apologies". I mumbled politely bowing my head.

She looked at me for a while and finally accepted the Apology.

"Now let's get into business". She said and I smiled very well. I could sense her wolf,she was very strong. I later found out she was from BLUE ORCHIDS PACK. My pack and blue Orchids pack has a very deep connection.

We talked for hours and made the deal. I was very pleased with the way she handled matters. The deal was closed and I decided to celebrate by taking her out which she obliged.

"I'm hoping to see you again ....mate". I said that last part dragging it.

Things would still be looking somehow between us. So I had to take things slowly. I left her alone to check things and see how my employees are doing.

Oh I almost forgot to ask when we were going to celebrate the deals. I rushed to were we had the meeting but she wasn't there anymore. I rushed outside only to see her running to a corner. I wanted to go back inside but I sensed she was worried so I followed her.

I got there to find her pulling her dress of. I saw her fresh skin and turned back. A man approached me and I had to look for a way to distract him.

I got there only to find her gone. I picked up her clothes and I was urged to scent it.

I smiled and went back to the Restaurant. I tried calling her because I was very much worried about her. The way she hurriedly shapeshifted showed that she was worked up over something.

I tried her number but she didn't pick. I tried it 2 more times but she didn't pick. I was damn worried about her. I wanted to go check on her but really didn't know where she rushed too. I sat feeling so tired.

Knock knock.

"Come in". I sat up immediately.

"Sir. We just invented another recipe I want you to have a taste". An employee said coming with a tray.

She opened the food and I looked at the face. It looked presentable. It was Pasta.

"So what's the name of this dish". I asked picking up the cutlery.

"It's a BCC pasta with sauce". The chef said.

"Uhmm". I tasted it.

"What were the ingredients? And what does the BCC stands for?. I asked taking another bites.

"We used homemade pasta,that is we made the pasta our self. We used tomato sauce heavy cream,saute mushrooms and veggies. Then the BCC stands for Beef chicken curry. So we minced our beef and chicken. And created a curry sauce. That's the side dish there". She concluded.

"Good. But next time,try to add veggies to the curry sauce. Good work. I'll be coming to the kitchen to form my own dish soon. You can leave ". I said dismissing her. I could see the joy in her eyes. They have been bringing meals for me to taste but I keep rejecting it finding faults in the dishes. This looks good.

I ate the food finish and asked someone to pick it up. I went through some files and left the restaurant. I was on my way back to my hotel. I own it. I want to see how things are going there.

I'm really a busy person . On my way,I received a call from Lila.

Finally!. I said before picking the call.

"Hello, you called". I heard her say.

"Ermmm.... actually I saw you shapeshift and I got worried the way you ran. Hope there's no problem?. I asked worriedly.

Damn!. I shouldn't have told her I saw her shapeshift.

"Did....d..did ...you"... I chuckled lightly imagining the way she reacting.

"Ofcourse. But I didn't look. I Just prevented people from seeing you in that corner ". I said to her. I heard her breath heavily and sighed in a relief.

I chuckled imagining her expression.

"So what's up?". I asked her

"I ran home because my sister in-law was in labor. She's put to bed now though ". She Said happily.

"Uhmm". I nodded.

",Eemmmm so are you free this night"?. I asked her.

"Yeah I guess ". She said after few seconds.

"Ok... I will pick you up by 7 Sharp.". I said cutting the call.

I have found my mate. And ain't letting her go again. I said to my self.



I waited Infront of the Blue Orchid's pack. I called her to tell her I'm already arrived. She told me to come inside. I walked inside the pack house but I couldn't help but gasp. The house was very very big. The house was built very well with rich and expensive materials. I saw a huge photo hung to the wall. It was like a family tree. I was still looking at it when someone tapped me lightly.

I turned back to see who it was.

I saw a cute lady.hopefully in her early twenties. She looked weak and fragile. I could scent she was a wolf.

"Hi I'm carmellia and you must be Kendrick". She said stretching her hands for a shake. I shook her hands. We were also trying to pull away when a strong arm pulled her hands from mine.

"She's mine". I heard him say coldly.

"I know fool". I rolled my eyes.

"So you're sister's mate". Roland asked coldly.

"Yes". I said putting his hands on his shoulders.

"I'd be your elder brother in law very soon". I said smiling.

"You haven't changed a bit". Roland chuckled.

Wait!.

"You both know each other?". I heard carmellia say

"Yes love.he happened to be an helper when I was in France". He looked lovingly at carmellia.

I guess they're mate then. She looks beautiful. But doesn't she looks to weak for an Alpha?. Anyways,who are we to question the moon goddess. She has plans for everything.

"Lies,we were friends in Paris. Be specific bro.even though I was older than him". I said rubbing his head lightly.

"Just 4 years". Roland replied coldly.

"So?... Atleast you can call me Elder brother In law now.". I said laughing.

"She hasn't accepted you yet ". Roland said.

"She has. I already marked her. ". I replied Roland and he groaned lightly realizing everything.

"Hi". I saw Lily coming shyly.

"Oh look who's shy now". I heard carmellia say laughing. Roland joined in the laugh and I could see her given them a deadly stare. They stopped laughing immediately.

But I could see they were trying to suppress their laughter. I couldn't help but smile.

"Shall we?". I asked her.

"And she nodded her head in agreement". I took her hands in my elbow and we left.

"Bring back tomorrow. You're free to sleep over". We heard carmellia say.

"Why must she sleep over?". I could hear Roland ask.

"You should know". I heard carmellia say faintly.

",Those good for nothing embarrassment". I heard lily say as she kicked her foot lightly.

I laughed inwardly and opened the car door for her to get in. We drove to my 5 star hotel and we sat at the restaurant to eat. I didn't tell her it was one of mine though.

"So what did you want to order... Waiter". I said calling the waiter.

"Let me see the menu". She said as the waiter handed her the menu...

"Hmm. I'll take one of this and two of this. How about you?". She asked me.

"Make it two plates". I said to the waiter and he bowed and left .

"So tell me about yourself". I asked her.

"Well,I'm the first child of my late parents. I think you are farmilar with Roland so he might have told you one or two about himself". I stated.

"Roland?... hahaha". Your brother is has cold ad ice. He didn't tell me anything ". I said laughing

She laughed too..

"Well,I trained my brothers...the three of them Lucian,Fred and Rolland. And surprisingly,my last brother became an Alpha. He was chosen by the moon goddess" she said smiling.

"Wow that's nice. Well I'm from the Oak pack. I have seven brothers and been the last born and also the most successful one.. should I say the strongest?.. I'm the second In command to the Alpha. And Alpha is my 3rd brother ". I said smiling.

"Wow. That's Nice ". She said smiling.

"So tell me, how did you meet Roland?". She asked

"well,we met at a presentation in Paris last year". I said smiling.

"A business presentation. He was among the youngest business men. But you'll hardly know because he looks very huge and not anything his age. We were in the same hotel. We suddenly started talking after arguing on a football match. Then we started going to watch them together. That was where it started ". I concluded.

"So you both started your friendship based on a football match?". Lily asked laughing.

"I'm Damn serious.we argued so much that night on the football. Many would think we were fighting over serious issues.

I saw Lily laugh and I laughed as well. The waiter brought our food and we digged into the food. I looked up to see lily munching her food seriously.

I smiled inwardly at her appetite. We finished the food and ordered a desert. We took the desert and rested for a while.

The waiter came with the bills and I paid.

"Wait this is your hotel right?". She asked.

"Yes". I answered.

"Why did you pay for the meals?". I wanted to be a gentleman

She laughed heartily.

"But you know this money is still coming to you right?". She asked.

"We'd visit another Hotel that I don't own on our next date". I said smiling.

"Are you trying to ask me out on another date?". Lily asked.

"What if I am? ..what would you say". I asked her
