Carmellia's pov.

The party went for quite a long time. Till midnight I guess. I felt so tired that I retired to bed.

I went in to the bedroom without telling Roland. I didn't want to disturb him because he was chatting with his business associate. I also saw Lily discussing with them.

I yawned tiredly and left.

On my way to the room,I saw Lucy and Alexander together.

What are they talking about?.

I stood there for a while but couldn't understand what they were saying. I decided to move closer and I overheard them.

"I want you sexy this night. Alexander said touching Lucy inappropriately.

I looked at Lucy and she felt reluctant and hesitated.

"Leave me alone." I heard her growl.

This is the first time I heard her growl.

Wait, does Alexander want to take advantage of her?.

"You dare not refuse an Alpha". Alexander thundered.

I was already angry and I went there and stepped on his toes.

"Ouch". He groaned and frowned at the same time.

"Why would a piece of thrash like you step on me?". He growled loudly.

I shuddered lightly.

"And I would do it over and over again if you still want to be foolish". I shouted facing him.

Such courage!.

Didn't know where it came from.

"If I ever see you around any body in my pack, I'll make sure I kick you the same way I kicked you last time". I spat out.

"Fuck you!". He said as he took big strides to my side.

"Mind you,it ain't yet your pack. So shhuhhh and when I'm talking,you don't talk...got it?" He said barking out.

I shuddered in more fear but I masked it off and stood boldly. I really didn't know the kind of courage I'm getting lately. Hope it won't land me into physical combat with anybody because I am weak and fragile.

My wolf wasn't even going to back out today. I felt her fury but I had to calm her down if not,we would be in a serious trouble .

"Then,you will watch me become one then hide your tail between your legs". I said gritting my teeth.

"You're just jealous". He laughed and said .

"Me?... jealous...you....why?... What's there to be jealous of?". I asked feeling angry.

"Uhhahahahaaaah". He laughed hysterically...more like a mad man. I looked at him in disdain I looked at the frightened Lucy at my back giving me signs to let him be so we can get away from here.

"Why are you laughing?". I asked scrunching my nose angrily.

"Because you're tiny. Have you seen when a lizard and an ant is fighting?... No right...beacuse the lizard eventually eats the ants up". He licking his lips lustfully. It changed to a revengeful face and said.

"You're the ant and I The Almighty Alpha Alexander Gold is the lizard. And I wouldn't waste time before eating you up and making you useless. It's either I have you or no one else. Mark my word ". He said daringly. I felt quite scared and I could see the spite in his eyes.

What is he up to?.. feeling a bit scared,I decided to scurry off before it gets more wild.

"Let's watch and see Alpha....". I said dragging the word Alpha.

"Come let's go Lucy and let this lunatic be basking in his own madnesses..humph....". I said as I dragged Lucy away from there. I could here him growling and laughing hysterically.

"He has really gone mad". I Said to no one In particular.

After we left there,Lucy held my arms to pull me back for a hug.

Such strong arms for a lady. Wait,is it because I'm weak?. I felt slightly jealous and sad

"Thank you so much. You're like a saviour to me. You really came at the right time. I'm so great ful. The moon goddess really brought you at the right time". She said crying and talking at the same time.

"Shhhhhuhhh. Don't cry, nothing bad would happen to you". I said soothing her back

"His wolf is stronger than me". She said

"Please don't tell Roland". She begged

"Why shouldn't I?.. I'm going to tell him". I said feeling angry.

"Please.....". I cut her off immediately.

"I will. No one can disrespect women and go scot free whether Alpha or not". I said to her.

"Take care of yourself. I'm going ". I said walking away.

"I could feel her looking at me. But I couldn't look back anymore.

I went to my room and shut the door feeling very pissed and angry

"Who does he think he is?". I shouted to no one in particular.

"Yes. I don't care who he's is actually. He doesn't have the right to Treat women that way. Such wicked and callous man". I spat out .

Buzzz

Roland is calling.

"Babes where are you". I heard him say coldly.

"I'm in the room...what's wrong?". I asked but he cut the call.

What's wrong?. Why did he seem angry?.

What could have happened?

I wondered feeling scared.

Few minutes later,he came to the room and stood Infront of me in serious anger.

"Where have you been?"He Thundered loudly.

I felt scared

"What's wrong....wh...what have I done wrong...what happened?". I questioned feeling scared.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to the room?. You've got me scared little one". He said coming closer.

"I....I was tired so I came here to rest ". I said sighing heavily knowing he was only worried about me.

"Why didn't you call me that that bastard confronted you. Did he touch you any where appropriately?. He asked checking me.

"I'm fine... nothing happened". I assured him.

"Are you ok...he told me some crazy things..". Roland said.

"Crazy things...what did he tell you?". He asked.

"Nothing you should mind. It's between me and him". He said patting my head.

"He was forcing himself on Lucy and she was crying". I finally spilled out

"What?...how dare he touch one of my people inappropriately?". Roland Thundered loudly.

I was very scared.

I have never seen him this scared.

I could feel his wolf was very angry.

My wolf wanted to soothe my mate In anyway it could. But I couldn't.

" I got there...I got there on time and ...and I stopped him from doing anything". I said boldly feeling myself.

"You confronted him?". Roland asked me.

"Yes.. I stepped on his toes and dragged Lucy away from him. I didn't know where the strength came from". I said smiling

"So what are you saying...that you could defeat him?". Roland laughed loud.

I looked at him and looked In daze

He looks cute when he smiles and laughs .

"Smile more often". I told him smiling widely.

I got to the training ground and met some gammas there. Fred and his wife too, Roland,Lucy and Lily. They all were seated waiting for me.

"Go in there, shapeshift and come out. While I will go in the other side to shapeshift". Lily said as she directed me to the place I'm going going to shapeshift.

I looked at Roland briefly and he assured me by nodding his head.

I left there and went inside. Removing my clothes I quietly closed my eyes.

I was like that for few minutes. I knew lily already shapeshifted and waiting for me outside.

I can do this.. I told my self.

We can do this Astrid... I told my wolf.

I closed my eyes and let my wolf out. The shapeshifting was very painful. It's been so long I let my wolf out.

I gradually shapeshifted to a silvery white wolf . I whined lightly and my wolf howled softly.

I raised my paws to take a step but I was afraid.

Gradually I stepped outside the tent and came out.

I could feel all eyes were on me.

All were shocked

Surprised.

Amused.

Why is everyone looking at me like this?.

I looked at lily and she was a big brown wolf.

But not as huge as I was.
