Twenty Nine

Lily's pov.

When I heard my junior brother was coming back,I was overjoyed. The last time I saw him was last winter. That was after his honeymoon with his wife.

I decided to assist Camilla to make this party a success.

I invited some great persons and Alphas. All the elders of the lycans were present there.

I went to the kitchen and checked the food,I tasted it and it was to my taste. Walking out of the kitchen I joined Roland and carmellia. I met them being all lovey dovey.

They really are fated to be together. I thanked the moon goddess for this wonderful gifts.

I decided to pull their legs a bit.

"Stops being all lovey dovey. Go get a room". I shouted. I could see camellia getting all shy . Such a cutie.

"we were actually doing nothing". She replied sheepishly.

I laughed at her childishness.

"I can see that". I said as I stood Infront of them.

The Lucy has been acting strangely. She became all nice suddenly. Maybe she might be up to something. But what could she do. Nothing.I laughed inwardly.

"By the way,that devil has been acting strangely" I asked Roland and carmellia looking around searching for her.

I saw Roland chuckling lightly. I knew he understood the person I was calling Devil.

"She became very nice to me this morning. She even told some maids to prepare a hot bathe for me. And she directed the cooking this morning". Carmellia said.

"She's trying to get on my good books". I said laughing heartily.

"She told me it was all alcohols doing and she had gotten over me". Roland said sighing.

"And you believed her?". I asked .

"I can't believe her yet. Let's see how it goes but she can't be trusted at all". Roland stated.

I and carmellia nodded too.

We must not loose guard immediately.

I think we need to act fast too.

Evening came pretty fast and Fred arrived with his packs and his wife.

Immediately he came,all wolves howled loudly in joy. After much greetings,the party started.

Roland with Carmella looking all handsome and beautiful. Carmellia looked very cute in that dress Roland orderd for her.

Everywhere was buzzling with wolves from different packs around the country.

My brother came to greet me first. And u hugged him passionately.

"Welcome brother". I said smiling.

"I miss you sister". He said hugging me tightly.

"You've grown quite handsome now". I said taunting him

"Was I not handsome before?". I asked

"Naa... You were one of the most ugliest creatures I have ever seen". I said tapping his shoulders light.

"Heei. That's very bad. I'm very handsome. My wife says that all the time". He said whyning

"Just joking dear.... Oh my Anita...". I said gushing at his wife.

His wife was very beautiful and strong. Her pregnant figure really brought out the beauty In her. She was also calm.

"Sister in law. It's such a pleasure seeing you". She said graciously.

"I know right. How have you been doing". I hugged her

From the look of things,she could give birth anytime. Maybe it's for the best that she came here. Because she would be taken care of well enough.

Are you sure that was not why Fred brought his wife and came back to the pack?.

"Where's Roland?". Fred asked

"Brother". Roland said .

"Oh see my cutie little brother". Fred said hugging him.

I laughed inwardly knowing that Roland was quite angry with the way he frowned.

Well, that's how we treat Rolland. Even though he's the Alpha of our pack,he's still going to remain our little cutie rolly.

"Where's your mate?.. I can't believe you've got a mate... where's she?. Fred asked Rolland.

"Hi". Camellia came shyly

Fred looked at and at Rolland. I knew he wanted to say something but immediately signaled to him not to say a word about her

"She looks very beautiful and not really as I heard her to be". Fred finally said smiling widely.

"Nice to meet you ". Carmellia said smiling.

" I know right. Just tell me anytime this rolly does something to you. Even if he's the Alpha,I'm gonna kick his ass" Fred said jokingly.

"He's stronger than you ". I coughed reminding him.

"Rolland is already bigger than me. Now I look like the tiny guy". Fred said jokingly.

We all laughed heartily.

Then suddenly,we saw the person we didn't want to see.

What in the actual fuck is he doing here?

Who invited him here?

I really hope he's not here to cause trouble because he came to die.

Why would you enter the house of your enemy unharmed.

Let me just believe he just came here for the party.

"What are you doing here"? I growled bitterly ready to strike.

I know he's more stronger than me. But I could still hurt him.

He didn't answer me. Which angered me the more. He went and stood Infront of Roland.

"I didn't remember inviting you". Roland said coldly.

I could see the hatred in carmellia's eyes and the anger in Rolland's eyes.

"you invited my Father. And I came on his behalf behalf". He said looking at carmellia lustfully.

I was very angry inwardly. I didn't want to attack him first. I folded my fist and growled.

"Then go enjoy the party and let us be". I heard Roland say

I smirked immediately and gestured for him go.

He looked at us all and left.

What the fuck!.

"Who let him in". I heard Roland growl.

"I don't know either". I said watching him go.

"He better not cause any trouble because I'm gonna give it back in 100 folds if he tries anything." Roland said angrily.

"He won't dare. I would keep an eye on him". I said assuring them.

"He's got alot of guts you know?". Fred asked.

"Are your u sure he isn't after your mate?". Fred asked no one in particular.

"You mean my mate he rejected?. I would never succumb to him. I already marked carmellia. And she's mine already ". Rolland said possessively and he held carmellia.

"I would never go back to him". Carmellia also said abit frightened at what Fred said.

"Let just forget This and enjoy the party ". I said smiling.

"Yeah ..m whatever but he better not try anything stupid in my pack house ". Rolland said taking carmellia away from there.

"He's so protective of her" Fred stated.

"It's for the best. I also feel protective of her as she's fragile". I spoke.

"True. Though weak, she's very nice". Fred pointed out.

"I know right?. Their coronation ceremony would come up after their wedding. But I need to train her a bit". I said sipping my wine.

"Then I came at the right time then" . Fred said laughing.

"Honey..I feel very tired.. I want to retire to bed ". Anita yawned tiredly.

"Let me take you to the room ". I said to her as I supported her up.

"Enjoy the party brother. I'll be right back". I said to Fred and he nodded his head

I took Fred's wife upstairs to Their room. She laid tiredly on the bed . I saw her leg a bit swollen and I couldn't help but touch it.

I could have helped her relive the pain in the swollen legs but it wasn't my power to do so. It's meant to occur in every female wolf when they're almost due for delivery.

I decided to help her massage her legs.

"We are expecting a male pup". She said softly.

"I'm so happy for you both.". I said smiling.

"How about you, don't you want to be stucked with any guy?". She asked.

I stopped massaging her leg and looked at her. Then I sighed Deeply before continuing.

Nobody could ask me about my personal life. Because I wasn't ready to talk about it.

"Look lily,I'm your friend and also your sister in-law. Share anything with me. I might help you out ". She said softly.

Sigh.

"Anita.. I Know what you are trying to say . But...". Anita cut me off.

"There's no but lily. You're not getting any younger. You would soon be 25. How are you feeling knowing that your junior brothers are all married?.. people might start talking or haven't you found a mate? ". She askedcalmly.

"I have a mate already". I decided to spill out.

"What?". I'm so happy for you". She cheered excitedly

"So where is he?". She asked me .

I frowned immediately too

"I don't know ". I said dejectedly.

"What did you mean by you don't know?.. what really happened?". She asked confused.

"I don't know where he's right now. The last time I saw him was about 5 years ago". I said to her

"5 years?.. .That's a long time now. How did you know he was your mate?.. what happened that made you not to follow him?". She asked series of questions.

"Calm down. I'm going to say everything that happened".

How am I going to start?.

"It was in a dark and chilly nightI was on my way home since my car had some fault. I decided to Trek home because the home wasn't far from where I was staying.....". I turned to look at her. And she was listening.

"" As I was going,I started sniffing something strong. His scent. I was getting curious because my wolf was dancing happily in my head shouting mate!mate!mate!. Our mate is here... Out of curiosity,I followed the scent and found my self Infront of a young man..in his early 20s. He was so drunk and continued ranting of how his brothers treated him as outcast and when he became an Alpha,he's going to destroy all of them. Then suddenly he looked up and said to me " so you're mate. I scented from far but I couldn't search for you". He staggered drunkenly to my side and sniffed me. " Yeah you're definitely my mate ". I looked at the handsome man Infront of me and smiled.

"You know what,let me make you mine now. Without wasting time,he marked me at that spot and fell unconscious. I was very scared and carried him to a nearby clinic and left". I said finally looking up

"wow". I heard Anita say.

"Why didn't you go back to him". She asked me.

"I actually did. But t couldn't find him. The nurses said they didn't even know when he left. I was very heartbroken. I searched around that neighborhood but couldn't see him. So I stopped searching hoping for a miracle from the moon goddess.". I said finally.

"I hope you find him". Anita said yawning sleepily".

"I will. Now close your eyes and sleep". I said soothingly.

After Anita slept,I went out thinking about what I told her.

I sighed heavily and went downstairs to continue the party.

I have already forgotten about him. I didn't even know his name nor get to see his face well. All I could remember is that he was handsome. And he had soft pink lips. I felt it when he grazed me lightly before biting me.

Those memories came again and I sighed more.

Would I be able to find him?
