CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTY EIGHT

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTY EIGHT

VIVIAN'S POV

There was nothing that made me happier than getting to see Alpha Logan in that position..he looked extremely miserable in that position. The only thing I wanted was the truth. There was no assurance that I was going to let him go after getting the truth from him.

“Are you ready to speak?” I asked, and he mumbled a response.

Alpha Kyle grabbed a stool from behind him. He sat down in a corner of the room as he watched. I knew that he wanted to watch whatever was going on more than anything. It was painful that Amelia didn't have any interest in watching whatever was going on. But I was going to make sure that I told her everything that he was going to say.

“Are you ready to speak?!” I asked louder this time, pressing down on his injury, and he cried out in pain.

“Yes, yes!” He screamed. “I'll speak!”

“Good,” I said in a lighter tone as I placed the iron rod on the hot grill.

“Now… how are Amelia and I related?” I asked, and his eyes widened. I threatened to press down on his wond when he quickly spoke up.

“You are both cousins,” he finally said, and I managed a smile.

“How did we get separated?”

He took in a deep breath, as blood spilled from his mouth. “Your mother was the queen. She was travelling with her sister, Amelia's mother when I attacked them. They both died. And I took you and Amelia from them. I handed you over to Priscilla. Your mother.”

“She isn't my mother!”  I screamed immediately. “You killed my mother! Is that something I'm supposed to forgive you for? What did they ever do to you?”

I pushed down on his arm, shaking him. “What did they do to you? You ruined my actual future.”

Without any kind of hesitation, I took the iron rod from the grill, and pressed it down against his skin. I listened to his skin fry as well. It was a pleasing sound when it wasn't happening to me.

Alpha Kyle adjusted in his seat. Apart from me, I wished that Amelia also got the chance to press the hot iron in his skin. But she was too scared.

“What else did you do?” I asked fiercely, and he confessed about how he had sex with Alpha Kyle's wife as well. And how he had always planned the pack attacks that happened to Alpha Kyle. Alpha Kyle stood up, almost ripping him apart in the chair.

“That's why I don't regret hurting you even one bit! You deserve all this shit happening to you!”

Alpha Logan let out a sad laugh. “Well, it's only happening because I let it happen.”

I delivered a hot slap to one side of his cheek. I saw right through whatever he was trying to do. He was trying to reduce the pride that I was having over whatever I was doing.

“Is there anything else?” I asked again.

“You should know that your mother had been hiding your powers for all these years.”

I narrowed my eyes. “What powers? I haven't been able to communicate with my wolf all these years, right? What suddenly changed? I never had any powers.”

He snickered. “You were being smart, but you didn't know that part. That is exactly why the priestess had called you out to be the one to heal Derek.”

I took a step back, unable to stand straight. Alpha Kyle was right beside me immediately. I found my way out of the room.

“My men would handle the rest,” he said, and Alpha Logan laughed as I headed out of the dungeon.

“Where are you going?” He asked, and I sniffled. It was al.ost as if my whole life was a lie. I was trying so hard for everything to make sense in my head. It was all too hard.

I hurried back into the palace, finding Amelia. “Have you finished questioning him?” She asked, taking in Alpha Logan's blood that was on my clothes. I wanted to carry Miles so bad. I hurried to wash myself clean in the bathroom. As soon as I was sure thank was clean, I put on clean clothes, and I finally carried my child.

He cooed, as he buried his nose in my neck. Of course, he was the perfect child.

“What did he say?” Amelia asked again, more curiously this time.

“We are cousins,” I said, and she beamed.

“He killed both our parents,” I said, and the smile immediately cleared from her face.

“Pricillia isn't your mom?” She asked slowly. To me, it was even worse that she didn't know about her own mother. She was brought to Alpha Logan's pack, and was turned into a pet immediately. I was hurt for her.

“She isn't,” I said, shaking my head. It hurt that I was so attached to my dad. And it was no wonder that my mom never really cared about what I was doing, or how I did.

“Do you have plans of doing anything to her?” She asked, and I shook my head. It was useless doing anything to her after all these years. She didn't really commit any sin anyway. He gave her the child, and she took it out of desperation. She sent me to school. She clothed me, and she fed me.

“And Alpha Logan?” She asked. “What do you want to do with him.

“All I wanted was the truth from him. And getting him off the throne. Alpha Kyle said he was going to handle the rest.”

Amelia nodded, like she totally supported the decision as well. “So are we going back to the city?” She asked.

I bit down hard on my lip. “I think so.” I had been considering going back home all day. Ever since I was about to be executed. This pack was my home too as well, but I could stay here anymore.

A knock came at the door. It was a maid. She bowed down immediately like she respected me.

“Alpha Kyle calls for you, ma'am,” she said, almost in a whisper like she didn't want to sound too loud.

“Thank you,” I answered. She was about to walk away when she turned back.

“And I just wanted to tell you thank you for everything. The pack and I appreciate everything that the both of you have done.”

Amelia and I turned to each other. “What did we do?”

The maid smiled. “You have practically saved the whole back from Alpha Logan's wrath. He has death with us enough. And we have only you to thank for that.”

Amelia couldn't hold back her smile. “You're welcome. Please tell Alpha Kyle that Vivian would be there with him shortly.”

The maid nodded, and headed out of the room.

“I better go see him.” I said, and she nodded, taking Miles from me one more time. She knew that I was going to come back for her. There was no way I was going to be leaving her alone. No matter where I am, I knew that I was going to make sure she was with me as well.

I needed to make it up to Miles so bad. I was barely giving him any attention. But now, the whole thing was done. I could finally look at him, and play with him the way I have been supposed to.

I headed downstairs, finding Alpha Kyle. He was sitting on one of the couches in the living room.

“One of the maids said you were looking for me,” I said, and he patted the space right beside him. I took cautious steps, as I sat beside him.

“Do you feel better?” He asked, and I nodded.

The truth was that I didn't know. It was almost like I felt empty instead.

“You'll get better with time,” he said as he patted my back like he knew that I was lying.

“But there's one thing I want you to do for me,” he said, and I looked up at him.

“What is that?”

Somewhere in my head, I had already promised myself that I was going to do one thing that he asks of me.

“Derek,” he said, and my hands balled into fists. “You need to heal him if you really have the power to.”

“He betrayed me. I don't see myself helping him one bit.”

“You might have done the same thing if you were in his shoes. He acted based off evidence. And that's the same thing that you might have done.”

He was right… in a way. “But I won't promise to have anything to do with him after I heal him… if I can.”

“I'm sure you can,” Alpha Kyle said, like a happy child. “I'll ask the maids to call the Priestess.”

I nodded, taking a deep breath. If that was the last thing I was going to do in the pack, then I was up for it.
