Chapter 182 - A MIRACLE SILVER WOLF

181. Tamia's POV

I looked at Logan after he finished his long confession, or whatever it was, and I didn't feel anything.

My heart didn't tremble neither did it feel any joy, pain or pity.

He didn't arouse any kind of emotion in me.

There was this huge ice cube in the place where my heart used to be when it came to him.

Maybe if he had said all this before my baby died, I would have, just maybe, felt something.

If he had said all this before I held the cold body of my little bit in my arms, maybe I would have given him a better and quicker death.

But there was nothing there.

It was all cold and the peaceful face of At as I laid to him to rest was still playing on my mind as I looked at Logan.

It was all because of him.

He took my baby away from me.

He denied my baby the chance to live.

I couldn't and wouldn't allow myself to feel anything.

I was able to forgive him for all he did to me.

I was able to forgive him for killing my dad.

But not this.

He had done the unforgivable.

So, after he was done speaking, I looked at Killian and walked away.

I sat on my chair and after making sure I was okay, Killian amplified his alpha voice and started speaking.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's time.

I won't talk a lot or say a lot of things because we all know why we are here, don’t we?”

“Yes your majesty.”

Alpha Logan regrets what he had done but it's already done.

I won't ask the queen what she thinks because we all can see it on her face.

She lost a child.

I lost a son.

And you all lost a prince.

Even if the alpha is remorseful, it can't bring our baby back.

But I will ask you all, what do you think we shout?

Should he get punished for his actions or should we forgive him?" Killian asked and any person with a brain could see what he was doing.

He started by reminding them of all the crimes Logan had committed and then threw such a question at them.

"Kill him. Kill him. Kill him..."

The chant went on and on throughout the field until Killian raised his hand to silence them and there was silence all over again.

"Now, we will start with the ones at the front from the ones on the right side.

You will do it in an orderly manner guided by the soldiers and no running or stampeding.

You misbehave, you join him.

Are we together?" Killian boomed.

"Yes your majesty the king," they all said in unison.

Logan was tied to the pole that had already been erected in the middle and it was now time.

People started coming one by one in a queue and they all were ready.

It was surprising how people had so little to do and something like this would get them out of their homes to just come and participate in Killing someone.

Maybe it was a lack of thrilling activities or they just wanted to help their king.

No one would know.

I was just glad that they came because this would also be a lesson to them in case anyone had such thoughts.

Killian and I sat at the raised arena and watched it all happen.

Logan didn't scream or cry or even beg.

He stood there as if all that wasn't happening to him.

All I could see was him gritting his teeth, willing the pain away.

He knew what he had done was wrong and he was ready to brave it.

Everyone had their own knife and no one was shown where to cut.

Anyone cut where they wanted depending on where they thought was more painful.

Within minutes, blood was running like a stream from where Logan was.

His legs couldn't hold him anymore and he was now slumping.

He had lost the grace he was showing when it all started.

He didn't scream but he was crying silently.

I could have amplified my hearing and directed it towards him for me to hear what he was saying silently but I didn't want to.

He had said all I needed to say and this had to be done.

"Shall we leave?" Killian asked me.

He was worried about me.

Maybe he thought I could not take it.

He forgot that I was the one who did Triz for days until I got bored and allowed her to die.

"No. I want to stay.

I want to make sure that he is really dead and burned," I said and Killian held my hand and we sat there watching.

Even when Logan lost consciousness, people were still steaming in.

Even when he had bled all the blood there was in his body, people still wanted their piece of him.

Even when he was no more, everyone wanted to be a part of that history making process.

Was I happy?

No.

Did I feel bad about it?

Never.

But it had to be done.

I knew that it would not bring my baby back but it was what Logan deserved.

While Killian was giving his speech before the start of the whole process, he made it clear to everyone that that would be the baby of everyone who thought of betraying the kingdom or their fellow wolves.

"We will not be forgiving by giving second chances.

We are done because people never learn," he had said and I had agreed with him.

It would be an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

By the time the last person was taking their cut, Logan was long dead.

By that time, his body looked like a sieve.

Some people had prepared special knives that could cut through bone.

That was not surprising seeing that wolves were hunters in nature and they just had some tools to help in their work.

After everyone was done and they were all back in their seats, it was time to burn the body.

I wanted to make sure that the body was burnt just in case his spirit decided to come back for revenge.

The soldiers had firewood ready and some people were chosen to do the honors.

I hadn’t eaten it and seen the children for the whole day but this was a necessary process that we all had to make sure that it was done and done in the proper way.

If you want to make sure that some things were done to your specifications, it was good to do them for yourself.

This was what was in my mind and that was why I couldn’t leave.

“Aren’t you angry?

We can go to eat first and then return,” Killian asked me but I was not angry.

I wanted to look and see as every person put their mark on Logan.

I wanted to see for myself as Logan suffered the way he had made me suffer.

I knew that this wouldn’t be anything as compared to what he did to me but it appeased my spirit because at least, he hadn’t died before he saw and felt what it was like to be hated by everyone and to be tortured by everyone.

He was even lucky that all he received was physical punishment.

As the body was being burnt, Aurora called.

It was the first call I had received because I had left clear instructions that I wasn’t to be disturbed unless it was a matter of life and death.

“Tamia, you need to come back,” she said and she was in a panic.

“Why? What’s happening?

Are the babies okay?” That was the first thought that came to my mind because of what had recently happened.

“I…. Yeah. The babies are okay but Silvermoon isn’t,” she said and my heart skipped a beat.

“We will be there,” I said and looked at Killian.

He didn’t even ask because he heard what we had said.

He looked at Kira and I knew they had communicated and I changed to my wolf.

The car would be too slow.

He also changed and I held his hand.

I felt like flying and I somehow knew that I could carry him with me.

I didn’t fly per se but I was moving at the speed of the wind because we were home within seconds.

As Aurora knew we would come as wolves, she handed us a bed sheet each and we covered ourselves as we looked at what.

“Explain,” I said feeling impatient.

I wondered what could be happening back home.

But what I was sure of was that if someone was trying to get entry, they couldn’t because I put an even stronger barrier than the one that was in the midnight pack.

No one could breach it except the Goddess herself.

But Aurora seemed shaken and I was getting impatient.

“Aurora, speak,” her brother ordered.
