Chapter 164 Kidnapping Francesca

Chapter 164 Kidnapping Francesca

"Don't worry, I'll recover soon."

Although Alison couldn't see Oliver's expression clearly, she could see his emotions.

She rubbed her eyes.

Before, even though she could see everyone's emotions, those emotions each had different colors and forms, constantly changing, tangled together in a complex and chaotic mess—sometimes the scene was quite disgusting.

So when she met Oliver, who was as clean and pretty as a big white goose, she couldn't help but look at him a few more times with fondness.

Now these emotions suddenly became clearly layered, like a tangled ball of yarn being combed out neatly and orderly.

But it was like a person with 300-degree nearsightedness suddenly wearing 500-degree glasses—very uncomfortable to adjust to.

Alison stared at Oliver for a while longer, then closed her eyes feeling dizzy.

Oliver held her with heartache. Even in this condition, Alison was still comforting him. He really wished Alison wouldn't be so strong and would depend on him more.

Alison skillfully adjusted herself into a comfortable position in Oliver's arms. Ever since that deep kiss in the car, Oliver always liked to kiss and hold her.

Compared to Micah and Vanessa, Oliver wasn't that clingy yet, but Alison felt that once they were officially together, Oliver might be even harder to deal with than Micah.

Someone brought toiletries. Alison stared at the person.

This was someone who appeared as a ghost jellyfish in her hallucination.

"Who is he?" Alison asked.

"My head of security."

Alison suddenly understood and memorized how he appeared in her hallucination.

Each person's form in her hallucinations was basically fixed. Even if Gerald got plastic surgery, as long as she saw that memorable devil vine again, she could recognize Gerald.

The emotions surrounding the ghost jellyfish were like water droplets, equally clearly layered. Alison seemed to have gotten a new toy and kept studying it until she couldn't take it anymore and closed her eyes, leaning sideways onto Oliver's shoulder.

The head of security looked at Alison with some concern.

Oliver waved his hand, signaling him to leave quietly.

Then a few more people came.

Taylor was still that mischievous monkey with smooth fur floating against gravity; Howard was a huge swamp crocodile with large golden-brown eyeballs rolling around and sharp scales all over, making one's scalp tingle.

Listening to Alison's lighthearted descriptions, Oliver gradually found it interesting too.

After the two of them finished eating, Alison suddenly said, "I want that white bear you gave me."

"What do you need it for?" Oliver's alarm bells went off.

"To hold while sleeping."

"Then where do I sleep at night?" Oliver felt gloomy.

Ever since that white bear plushie entered Alison's bedroom, there was no place for him in Alison's bed!

"You go home or to a hotel. The hospital cot isn't comfortable." Alison held his face with both hands. "I'm fine now, but you need rest."

Oliver was unwilling. "Anyway, in your eyes I'm just a goose now. You can treat me like a white goose plushie—no different from that bear."

Alison said with a smile, "The feel is different."

"Don't I feel better?" Oliver kissed her cheek with slight annoyance, then kissed her lips.

Alison closed her eyes to feel his kiss, but thinking of a big white goose kissing her, she couldn't help but laugh.

Oliver was left helpless by her laughter and had to have someone bring the white bear plushie while he went to open a room at a hotel near the hospital.

3 AM.

Alison opened her eyes.

She walked quietly to the door. There was only the duty nurse in the hallway, no night-shift bodyguard in sight, so she immediately walked out.

One minute after she left, a bodyguard returned from the bathroom, gently pushed the door open, looked from a distance at the bulge under the covers on the bed, closed the door without suspicion, and sat at the door to continue his watch.

Fifteen minutes later, the bodyguard playing on his phone saw Oliver and stood up. "Mr. West!"

Oliver nodded. He had taken a shower at the hotel and changed clothes. Although the hotel bed was more comfortable than the hospital cot, the hotel didn't have Alison.

He walked into the hospital room, and moments later let out an angry question. "Where is she!"

The bodyguard was startled and quickly looked toward the bed. Under the pulled-back covers lay only a big white bear—the one he had personally delivered. Alison was nowhere to be seen!

He turned to look at the bathroom. The door was open, clearly Oliver had already checked inside.

"I was only gone for three minutes, went to the bathroom." Cold sweat appeared on the bodyguard's forehead. "There are no signs of struggle or dragging on the floor."

"No need to explain. Her shoes are gone. If she'd been kidnapped, the kidnappers wouldn't have helped her put on shoes." Oliver interrupted his analysis.

The bodyguard shut his mouth, but even though Oliver knew Alison had left on her own, his mood was terrible.

On the bedside table were Alison's phone, smartwatch, car keys, and that specially customized ring.

Was Alison doing this on purpose?

Oliver took out his own phone from his pocket and opened an app.

A map appeared on the screen, with a green dot moving rapidly across it.

"Let's go." Oliver strode out of the hospital room.

He had recently given Alison many gifts, and anything that could have a tracking chip embedded in it, he had modified.

He hadn't told Alison any of this.

Before, he didn't have deep feelings for those girlfriends and thought he was different from Micah with his pathological possessiveness.

It wasn't until he fell in love with Alison that he discovered he and Micah were indeed brothers.

Alison had invaded his world. She was his prey. He wouldn't let Alison escape!

The taxi sped through the deserted streets. With a sudden brake, it stopped next to a newly built commercial plaza, with posters from a signing ceremony still on the roadside.

"Miss, are you okay?" The middle-aged female driver asked with some concern after receiving payment.

"I'm fine, thank you." Alison's face was pale.

She had asked the driver to go as fast as possible. Although they successfully arrived within the estimated time, her stomach was churning with acid and she couldn't help but crouch by the roadside to vomit.

The kind driver gave her a bottle of water and a pack of tissues. Alison thanked her and gave her extra tip when paying the fare.

Bluesy Notes Bar was surrounded by police tape. Alison walked straight past it, went about fifty yards, and stopped next to a somewhat old white Toyota.

She crouched down and felt under the chassis, pulled out a car key, and opened the trunk.

Francesca lay inside, her body curled up weakly, her mouth covered with tape, both hands and feet tied.

She stared wide-eyed at Alison, shouting something muffled, her expression angry, but her eyes revealed her fear.

Alison stared at her expressionlessly, then smiled and closed the trunk, got in the car, and started it.

When those men in the bar tried to assault her, the string of reason in her brain snapped.

Her blood boiled throughout her body, and she became a raging beast. When she came to her senses, those men were all lying on the ground, and Francesca was curled up in a corner, looking at her in terror.

In that instant, Alison felt an unprecedented excitement.

She used to be so afraid of Francesca, so desperate for power. Now she not only had power, but it was Francesca's turn to be afraid of her!

She tied up Francesca, got her into the car, and drove it away a bit. After waking up, she heard Oliver say all the surveillance had been destroyed. Alison figured her kidnapping of Francesca hadn't been discovered yet, and after hesitation, chose to keep it hidden.

Alison drove toward Red Apple Orphanage, completely unaware that the necklace around her neck was telling Oliver her whereabouts.
