Chapter 41 Chapter 41: Death Threat
Chapter 41: Death Threat
Vishiea’s POV
What's going on here? Everyone was gathered here in the hall.
“I won't spare your life! Now tell me who sent that gift to you!” I heard Rachelle's voice. What's happening?
“What's wrong?” I asked Yana. She's standing curiously on the stage in the hall.
“Lady Anastasia, you're here. Something happened. Rachelle is getting furious at one of the servants,” she told me. I walked closer to the hall and finally witnessed the scene.
She's holding a sword in her hand. What does she think she's doing?
“What happened? Why is she so mad to kill that servant?” I asked Yana. She let out a deep sigh.
I noticed Rachelle holding a paper in her hand. The male servant is now begging for her forgiveness. I don't know the reason why she's being pathetic right now.
“I heard someone sent her a death threat, Lady Anastasia. She's so mad and lashing out at the people around her,” Yana answered. I smiled while watching how her face reddened in anger.
Is she afraid right now just because of that stupid death threat? What a waste of time.
“I won't spare you this time. What I hate the most is people lying to me! Now face the consequences of your lies!” She then raised the sword in the air, ready to cut the servant's head at any moment.
“She has no mercy.”
“The king's fiancé must learn some attitude.”
“But who sent that death threat?”
“She’s scared, that's why she's doing that.”
“I can't believe that there are people like that in this kingdom.”
Everyone started to murmur while watching Rachelle’s pathetic choices. If she really wants to know who exactly sent that death threat, then she should preserve that man’s life. Torture him if needed until he spoke up.
“I will kill you right in front of them! This will serve as a lesson to all of you,” she said while looking around.
She's really determined to kill that poor man.
“I’m scared,” Yana turned around, avoiding looking at the scene in front of us. Everyone gasped as Rachelle raised the sword.
“That's enough!” Everyone immediately bowed as the king arrived. Rachelle couldn't continue what she's planning to do because Darius just interfered.
He walked towards her. I know Darius has changed a lot.
“What's happening here? What's with the sudden commotion, Rachelle?” Darius asked her. I only watched them from my position. I even heard Yana let out a sigh of relief.
“That poor man was just saved by the king from dying,” she uttered. She was right. But what if Darius does the same thing just like what Rachelle wants to do with the man?
“This man gave me this death threat! Someone wants to kill me, Darius! Someone is planning for my death!” she exclaimed. I smiled while watching her become frantic.
This bitch is really hilarious.
She then gave the letter to Darius. He hesitated for a moment but he read it. His expression remained calm after reading the letter.
“Your majesty, please forgive me. It's my fault. I didn't check the identity of the person who gave me the gift. I am begging for your forgiveness, your majesty,” the man said as he remained kneeling down.
Darius looked at him.
“No! He should die right now! I can't let him live. Someone like him should die right in front of these people, Darius! That death threat—someone in here did this!” she said and started looking around.
What is she trying to say right now? Is she blaming others without strong evidence?
“Please, your majesty, forgive me,” the man kept on begging, while Rachelle started to walk, looking at the servants and their other guests.
“Lady Anastasia,” Cassie called out my name. My attention shifted to her. She just arrived at the scene. Her forehead knotted while looking in front.
“You're here. You seem to be having trouble,” I told her as she let out a deep sigh before finally talking.
“I heard what happened, that's why I rushed here,” she said, catching her breath.
“It's just a little show,” I said and turned around. My gaze shifted to Darius as he ordered the man to stand up.
However, I am not expecting that Rachelle would walk towards my direction.
“It's you! Tell me, you're the one who sent that gift, right? You almost killed me on that stupid game!” she started shouting at me.
What is she trying to do now? Blame me for that stupid death threat?
“Watch your mouth, Rachelle. You can't just blame someone without any evidence,” I said as I looked directly in her eyes.
“Lady Anastasia will never do that. You knew that was just a game. Don't use that as an excuse just to blame her for something she didn't do.” Cassie stepped in. I don't know what's actually made Rachelle blame me right now, but it's clear that she wants me to take the pain.
I am not dumb to do that. She’s trying to ruin my image right now.
“Why would she blame Lady Anastasia?”
“The king's fiancé has no shame.”
“She definitely couldn't accept she was defeated by a Cullen.”
“If she actually sent that death threat then what could be the possible reason?”
“I thought Cullens have a pure record but it seems it’s all ruined now.”
“We should wait for evidence before judging her.”
Everyone kept on judging me now.
“What?! Aren't you going to tell me something? You can't even defend yourself because you actually did this!” she shouted. I scoffed, which made her silent.
I walked near her. Is she really trying my patience?
“You have no shame. I was invited to this festival yet you always try to ruin me. Now tell me, did you plan this to blame me? To ruin my image?” I asked her. Everyone started to be suspicious about her.
“She was right.”
“Since Lady Anastasia went here, Rachelle started to ruin her image.”
“She definitely planned this to blame Lady Anastasia.”
She gritted her teeth as she looked at me.
“Because it's you! You sent this death threat to me! How dare you! Do you know who I am? I will be the future queen of this kingdom!” she shouted in my face.
I feigned a smile. She's pathetic.
“I don't care. Why don't you learn some manners and delicacy of yourself first before you finally gain my respect?” I told her. I could see how she wanted to hurt me right now.
“You!” She raised her hand, trying to slap me right now. However, Darius interfered.
“Enough, Rachelle! I warn you to stop causing trouble like this! We have guests! Get in your room and I’ll fix this problem,” Darius said as he walked towards us.
“She did this, Darius!” she said, not wanting to stop blaming me.
“I said enough!” Darius shouted at her. She then ran out of the hall. Darius looked at me. However, before he could speak, I turned around and left.
