Chapter 57

I couldn’t help but gasp when I saw my two children helping me put their clothes in a suitcase. I don’t know if I’ll be happy or what, because they heard their father and I talking about going to Zaffiro’s house. He asked his children who agreed immediately. His children will definitely agree because they have wanted that to happen for a long time.

“You two are hardworking,” I whispered after I closed the zipper and they smiled as they faced me.

“We’re going to move in Papa’s house!” Van’s happy promise was applauded by his sister.

“Then he’s not leaving!” Inah shouted that I just laughed.

I’m already helping them to take a bath because I don’t know if the people here already know this and will definitely ask right away. I’m comfortable with Zaffiro’s plan to move into his house because he hasn’t been home for a long time.

After I was able to take care of it, I lost sight of the children who were definitely with their father. The suitcase is gone and the room is clean. I decided to go down and some of them did show up. Gale frowned slightly, next to my smiling children recounting our departure.

“Good decision. We won’t mess with whatever your plan is. I trust you two, so make it work!” Zaffiro’s mother’s eyes on us made me just smile.

“It’s okay if you don’t come here first, it’s stressful, eh,” Lucas whispered accompanied by his mother’s gaze.

That’s enough again. I also don’t want to stay here because I feel like they have a headache in our situation. I noticed Nikasha’s son touching me as if wondering.

“Are you leaving?” its question which I nodded softly.

He frowned slightly as if he didn’t want to, he also played with his cousins, he was still Van’s favorite compared to his sister.

“We’re going to visit here. Or I’ll borrow you from your mom, do you want that?” I asked but he just shook his head.

I don’t know if I will feel sorry for my nephew. This is not the life I saw in them with Nikasha then. The apple of destiny sometimes, when it is almost perfect, then it just breaks down.

“When your dad is okay, you’re going to have a lot of siblings, you want that? You’re going to be a big brother,” I said smiling and that’s when I saw his eyes widen and his smile.

But he also stopped when I saw him turn around behind us. I received a bad look then took Gale’s hand.

“Don’t expect the child, Veron,” it said to me.

I just stared at him and said goodbye to the others again. I just kissed my uncle who looked like he already knew and then smiled at me. He didn’t say a word to me but I knew he wasn’t angry, I knew I had failed him and I didn’t want to disappoint him anymore. I looked again at my nephew who bore a huge resemblance to his father.

“You’re going to be a big brother, believe to your aunt,” I said to her then made a pinky promise that he slowly pressed his little finger to me.

I left them there and met my father and me. His grandparents just delivered us, which they still waved. I don’t know why they acted like that, we just moved to their father’s house. Van and I were just in the back while Inah was next to her father because of stubbornnessniya. Inah is very talkative because whatever she sees she asks her father, Zaffiro just laughs once, and answers them carefully.

“Is it okay if we go straight to the company? I’ll just talk to someone,” he said softly looking at me.

“Okay,” I replied and fell silent again.

“Are you mad?” whispered the boy next to me who I quickly asked.

“No, why?”

“Hmm, then kiss him later, be clingy just like the old times, mama,” it commanded as I raised an eyebrow.

“I can’t—”

“So you’re mad. They told me that you’re clingy with papa, way back then,” he whispered again and I was still stunned because I caught Zaffiro looking at us from the front mirror which I just smiled at.

“Find your mother when you don’t stop,” I threatened the child she teased.

I’m always stuck!

We arrived at the company quietly, I was almost overwhelmed and changed because of the look, I can’t remember what it looked like then, I was very upset when I left this place, and I don’t want that to happen again. I helped Van get out of the car, but he pulled me quickly and like a fool we collided with their father, Inah immediately put my hand on Zaffiro’s hand which he tightened immediately so I didn’t get lost.

“I know you’re an accomplice,” I whispered then pressed my hand to Zaffiro’s.

“Please?” I just stared because I wanted to too.

We started walking, I held Van on the other side while Inah was from Zaffiro. Everything changed for me because of the look in it. The human eyes here inside are smiling at us, he-he greets what is being done and is steady whispering when we pass. I’m sure some people already know this and others don’t because Zaffiro has been missing for a long time. And maybe others thought he had a family.

We safely climbed to the 17th floor, to his office. A man was watching there who promptly smiled at us. He was familiar to me who was also one of the high positions here because as far as I know he had his own office then.

I didn’t realize we were inside and that’s where my foot was stuck. The former black paint has been replaced with white. The position of the utensils changed, instead of his desk the opening was placed on the side, right next to the door of a room. The kids quickly ran into that room that Zaffiro had just left. It looked at me and then slowly approached.

“I’ll be right back,” he said softly as I nodded.

“All right, I’m just here.” She just kissed me on the forehead then he left the office.

I felt like a fool holding that then and smiled a little but I also immediately withdrew because of the strength of Inah’s scream. I hurried there and was immediately depressed because the two children had just jumped on the bed and hit the pillow.

“Get out!” I said out loud that they stopped.

The two sat down and fortunately they had no shoes on their feet. Annoyed, I went to their place and then pinched my ears.

“You’re really kids, you’re not getting old! Do you want us to leave now? Do you want to go to Spain and never come back here?” I threatened and immediately frowned at them.

“Will you please behave? At least for now? Don’t scold me, twins, my head hurts,” I calmly told them because The people I’m talking to are still young.

I sat on the bed, between the two of them and shook their heads. “Just behave, okay? Do you want mama to leave? Leave you with papa?”

“No,” they both replied.

“Then behave. Don’t be too naughty. Don’t scold your dad,” I added because I knew their father couldn’t be stressed.

The two of them were just quietly talking and talking about what they saw outside the building. I couldn’t help but look at the photos arranged almost differently as well. I noticed the photos were almost surreptitiously taken based on the angle.

Most of it was the photo of the kids on the balcony playing and waving, there were others with me and Lana walking. All this time he already knew and he just kept quiet. But if there’s a picture I’m wondering about, it’s the three of them, if I’m not mistaken, it looks like my children are only three years old in that photo. Zaffiro was in the middle while the two children by his side were making a peace sign, their faces still touching so the resemblance of their eyes was obvious.

They have already met. Is he that blue stone that kids used to tell me about? They said they saw a man on the street living just in front of our house. So maybe Lana didn’t let me out of the shop right away then, eh, because my father and I wanted to have time that day.
