Chapter 44
“Mama,” a soft call I heard behind me.
I was slightly taken aback by changing the pillowcases and faced that. She was smiling holding the bag I often use at my work and she was waving it. I knelt down here to match her then smiled bitterly.
“Mama, no work,” I said shaking my head as if she understood.
It wrinkled me then made me shake. “No?”
“Yes,” I replied then she sniffed.
“Kiss Inah, hmm.” He sniffed and then kissed me first.
“Bye, bye!” It waved and walked backwards again while dragging my bag, she carefully put it in the previous one and found out again.
Instead of reprimanding me, I just let it go because she also brings everything back to normal. I went back to what I was doing. I just sighed because of what happened a week ago since I was fired. It’s also my fault why I neglected my job. But I shouldn’t be feeling that way because I did all my best.
Coincidentally, I put the children first. That’s exactly what I came here for. I heard Van’s faint call to Inah. I noticed Inah on the balcony and turned to the left where the living room balcony was, it waved there, maybe Van was there on the other balcony.
They are comfortable that they will not be injured because the makers have made sure that the children can go there safely. I just thought that maybe I was actually born to take care of children. Yes that’s right, maybe that’s my role in the world.
After I cleaned the room it was time for the living room. I don’t feel tired of cleanliness but of reprimanding the two of them.
“Oh my god! No! Don’t come here, get inside, gosh!” The two quickly ran into the room and jumped on the bed.
I just fell on my forehead. I’m really going to ask for a backup of the two to. I did a quick cleaning, I just cooked a simple dish because they are more greedy to eat at night. I could hear no other noise from them except for the talking dolls which were almost repetitive.
After a while I almost jumped because of the knock coming from the door itself. It’s just amazing because I don’t expect any visitors and yet most of my acquaintances are working hours now. I wiped my hand first and then decided to open the door.
“Can I make trouble?” it opens up to me with a goofy smile.
I opened the door for it and noticed that it was carrying what was in both of its hands that he had laid on the side. “You don’t have a job?” I asked as he nodded.
“Absent,” it winked.
“Stupid,” I swore as he laughed a little then laughed and pushed my back.
“Ssshhhh.” It calmed me down and I even noticed that someone was really staring at it.
When I turned around I saw there the two who suddenly came to life smiling staring at Cyron and at the same time ran to meet it.
“Don’t play with that, we’re going to eat,” I said to him because it looked like they would be playing again all day.
His gaze went to the table with the food prepared. He slowly lifted the two and then seated them in his chair.
“Eat first?” questionits to the children who at once nod.
He was the one who took the initiative to feed the children, I couldn’t help but laugh especially since the two twins had things to say that we couldn’t understand.
“You still have two years here. Good thing for you that you can still decide,” he told me while eating.
I looked at the kids busy chewing staring at me. “That’s why. Maybe I’ll look for extra income,” I replied simply.
It looked at me and wrinkled slightly. “Why don’t you just focus on the two kids? That’ll split your time again.” I looked at the two children who exchanged glances with us.
Obviously listening, they also have something to say that we don’t understand. I feel like they understand us because of the way they look at us. ‘I hope they don’t inherit my gossip.
“I don’t know where I’m going to get the money Ron, you know the equipment of those two is expensive,” I said referring to the two nodding.
I widened their eyes because of us it was focused. “I told you before, you shouldn’t have a problem with expenses. Tia and I will take care of that. All we want you to do is for you to be able to decide what you plan on doing with the two children. You can’t live here anymore. They’ll be more surprised,” he said in a long litany and then focused on the children again.
They precede who will be the first to sip that teaspoon. “Right now we have nothing to answer to your Uncle’s questions, don’t wait for him to come here himself because Tia is already under siege,” he said, referring to Mama A.
I held on tightly to the spoon that had almost fallen off. Even I am also surrounded but I don’t want to think of others because I know uncle won’t do that. I just looked at the two who were busy teaching what Cyron was carrying earlier, Inah smiled then clapped, while Van was just calmly staring at his uncle’s watch.
Time is speeding up. Is my time running out? While Cyron was busy putting the kids to sleep in the bedroom, I decided to call Zeren. Definitely still morning there.
“Zeren.”
[Veron! Oh god! I’ve been waiting for your call since last week. What happened? You okay? How’s your work?] It’s raining questions.
I smiled at it. I just greet the strong wind coming from here on the balcony and carefully look at the cars from a distance.
“I’m okay don’t worry. It was a bit busy so I didn’t call right away. H-How are you? They’re Nikasha? Uncle? How ‘bout the other?” I heard another voice.
I don’t know who it is but it’s familiar to me. [Oh, I see. We’re fine here. We miss you. Ahm, I want to visit there in spain. Nikasha is willing to join with us, what do you think?] It’s obviously very eager.
I can’t speak because I might say the wrong thing later. They can’t come here now. Not first. “I-I’m not sure about my schedule. I’m too busy, sorry,” I said biting my lip. I’m sorry Zeren.
[Oh, no, it’s okay. Just take care yourself. They’re waiting for you. Mansion is always open for you, so don’t be worry at anything, I love you.] A loud bang prevailed in my chest.
There seems to be something to that.
Mansion is always open for you, so don’t be worry at anything.
