THERESA'S POV
I arrived at the restaurant, and the soft glow of candles cast a warm ambiance over the intimate setting. Calvin and I sat across from each other, our faces illuminated by the flickering flames.
Calvin, dressed in a tailored suit, had his eyes fixed intently on me, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement. I was radiant in a flowing evening gown, my hair styled to perfection, and I smiled warmly as I perused the menu.
"I'm so glad we decided to try this out," I said softly, my voice filled with enthusiasm. "I've heard great things about it, and I'm excited to see what they have to offer."
Calvin's eyes scanned the menu, and he replied, "I've been wanting to try it out for weeks, but I didn't know what to expect. The reviews have been fantastic, and I'm excited to see what they have to offer."
Our conversation flowed effortlessly, like a gentle stream meandering through the countryside. We discussed everything from our shared love of literature to our favorite travel destinations.
"I've always wanted to visit Paris," I said, my heart sparkling with excitement. "The art, the history, the food – it's all so captivating."
"I've been to Paris a few times," Calvin replied, "and it's definitely a city that has a special kind of magic. But I've also heard great things about Rome and Barcelona."
As the meal arrived, Calvin couldn't help but steal glances at me, his eyes keeping a beat as he gazed into my sparkling eyes. I sensed his attention and smiled coyly, my cheeks flushing with a soft pink hue.
"This food is incredible," I said, taking a bite of the dish. "The flavors are so rich and complex."
"I know, right?" Calvin replied, savoring his own meal. "I've been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a month now, and I'm glad I finally have the right person to share it with."
The air was filled with the savory aromas of the meal, and the sound of soft music drifted through the background, creating a sense of warmth and connection between us.
As the evening wore on, Calvin found himself becoming increasingly captivated by my presence, his feelings for me growing stronger with each passing moment.
I knew that I had to find a way to express my emotions, too, but for now, I simply savored the moment, enjoying the pleasure of his company and the gentle warmth of the evening.
I have to say, I'm really enjoying myself tonight," I said, my voice filled with a sense of contentment. "This has been a wonderful evening, Calvin."
"I'm glad to hear that," Calvin replied, his eyes locked on mine. "I've been feeling really happy and relaxed, too, if I won't lie."
Our conversation continued, flowing easily from one topic to another, as we laughed and talked together, our connection growing stronger with each passing moment.
As the night drew to a close, Calvin walked me out of the restaurant, the cool evening air a welcome respite from the warmth of the dining room.
"Thank you for a wonderful evening, Calvin," I said, my voice filled with gratitude. "I've had a really great time."
"The pleasure was all mine, Teresa," Calvin replied, his eyes locked on mine. "I'm so glad we could spend this time together."
As we stood outside the restaurant, Calvin felt a sense of uncertainty, unsure of how to express his feelings to me. But he knew that he had to try, to let me know how much I meant to him.
"Theresa, can I talk to you for a minute?" Calvin asked, his voice filled with a sense of nervousness.
"Of course, Calvin," I replied, my eyes filled with curiosity. "What's on your mind?"
Calvin took a deep breath, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that this was his chance to express his feelings to me, to let me know how much he loved me.
"Theresa, I have to tell you something," Calvin said, his voice filled with emotion. "I've been feeling this way for a while now, and I couldn't keep it inside anymore. I think I might be falling in love with you."
The words hung in the air like a challenge, as I looked at Calvin, my eyes filled with surprise and curiosity. I didn't know what to say to him, and I just giggled and smiled.
I remained silent, my answer still hanging in the air, as I looked sideways, my head bowed, my face red from blushing. I twisted my hands and turned my back to him, trying to avoid the question.
And then he said it again, "Teresa, I think I love you." The magic word sent a shiver down my spine, making my heart beat abnormally fast. My temperature rose, and I tried my best to control my emotions, but he still seemed to have the better of me.
I didn't know what to say, as I was falling in love with the gangster, and I didn't know how to express or say or know if I should give up my emotions to him.
"Ah, Calvin, I think I need to..." I was about to give an excuse and pause, but he stopped me from speaking.
"Don't say anything, Theresa," he said, his voice soft and gentle. "I know what you're about to say. You're about to say you want to think about it. I know you have a lot of time to think about it, but I just had to express my own feelings to you and tell you how much I feel. Please just give me a chance."
I was speechless, unsure of what to say or do next.
As Calvin confessed his feelings, My face lit up like a sunrise. I looked at him with a mix of surprise and curiosity, my eyes sparkling with amusement. Then, a warm smile spread across my face, and I opened my arms, embracing Calvin in a gentle hug.
"I'm so glad you told me," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I've been feeling a connection with you too, and I have to admit, it's been driving me crazy."
Calvin's heart skipped a beat as he wrapped his arms around me, holding me close. "Really?" he asked, his voice filled with hope.
My voice was laced with emotion. "Yes, really. I think I might be falling for you too, Calvin."
Calvin's face lit up with a radiant smile as he pulled back from the hug. "I'm so happy to hear that," he said, his eyes shining with excitement.
As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Calvin felt a sense of joy and contentment wash over him. It was like the whole world had come alive, and nothing else mattered except for the two of them.
"I'm really excited to see where this goes," Calvin said, his voice filled with enthusiasm.
My voice was barely above a whisper. "Me too, Calvin. I feel like we're just getting started on something amazing."
Our conversation flowed effortlessly, like a gentle stream meandering through the countryside. They talked about our hopes and dreams, our fears and insecurities, and our desires and aspirations.
As the night wore on, Calvin walked me to his car, he opened the door swiftly, I stepped in and he rushed to the other side, and input the key into the ignition, then sped off to his mansion.
The cool evening is a welcome respite from the warmth of the dinner room.
"I'm so glad we had this talk," Calvin said, his voice filled with gratitude. "I feel like I've been given a second chance at love."
My voice was filled with warmth. "I'm glad too, Calvin. I feel like I've found someone who truly understands me."
As we stood outside the mansion, Calvin felt a sense of uncertainty, unsure of what the future held. But he knew he was willing to take a chance on love, and that I was worth the risk.
"Would you like to come in?" Calvin asked, his voice filled with hope. "I'd love to spend more time with you."
I smiled, my eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'd love to," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
And with that, Calvin took my hand, and they walked into the mansion, ready to start their new journey together.
