Chapter 84 Weekend hangout
Chapter 84: Weekend Hangout
The students looked anxiously at the clock. Saying they were tired was an understatement of the century.
It had been one hell of a week and they couldn't wait to wrap it up. Even with the anticipation of the weekend, they still had to seat through their last class.
Thankfully, it was an Anatomy class and wasn't too boring.
Professor Skyler was a rather interesting woman and had unique ways of keeping her students interested in her class.
Still, no amount of fun and jokes could keep the students from wanting to get out of the hall.
The second the bell rang, relief washed over the students like cold water in the summer.
Professor Skyler wished them a happy weekend and immediately got out of their hair because she knew they would bolt any second.
Golden decided to invite Alex and Fab over to the estate for a weekend hangout.
They could all use the break after a gut wrenching week. And it helped that Monday was OCU's founders day. That meant no classes.
“Hey guys, would you be interested in spending the weekend at the Nixon Estate?” Golden asked as she packed up her bags.
“Like a weekend hangout?” Fab asked thrilled at the idea.
“Yeah something like that.” Golden responded as they left the hall and headed to the car park.
“Sure, I'm game. I just need to inform Rosalie I wouldn't be home for dinner.
She's cooking today, it's a shame I'll have to miss it. But it's all good, there would be many more dinners.” Alex said as she brought out her phone to text Rosalie.
Fab grabbed her phone before she could send the message.
“You have a death wish nerd?” Alex asked Fab with a scorn.
Fab ignored Alex's glare and asked her phone assistant to call Rosalie.
“Hey girlie, are you on your way home already? Can you grab a bottle of wine? The babies are craving fruit wine.” Rosalie said the minute the call connected.
“Hi Rosalie, it's Fab on the line. I hear you are making dinner tonight. Do you have space for two more?
I and Gigi would love to join you guys for dinner. Don't worry we would get you wine for the babies.”
“Hi Fab, of course you guys are welcome to join us for dinner.
Can you also get a big bowl of ice cream? These babies are really doing a number on me.” Rosalie said.
“Sure! We would be home in 20 minutes max.” Fab ended the call and handed the phone back to Alex.

Fab went overboard at the mall. Rosalie had asked for a bottle of wine and a bowl of ice cream.
He ended up buying five bottles of the finest fruit wine, three gigantic bowls of different flavors of ice cream, a bucket of different ice cream toppings, packs of biscuits and about two boxes of chocolate.
By the time they got to the house and unloaded all that they had bought, Rosalie became emotional.
Her hormones were messed up. One minute she was crying, and the next minute she's all smiles.
Dinner was very delightful. Nana Chen who had decided to move to Florida temporarily to stay and help plan the wedding and welcome the babies told stories about her different pregnancies.
Rosalie and Chen had decided to hold the wedding in a months time, before Rosalie started showing.
They asked Alex and Golden to be bridesmaid and Fab and Varney to be groomsmen.
Golden accepted on Varney's behalf and was excited to be a bridesmaid.
By the time dinner was done, it was 9 pm already. Alex grabbed a few things, said goodnight to her peeps and left with Golden and Fab.
Before leaving the Chen's residence, Fab had sent a message to the Lawrence Butler instructing him to have a maid pack him a weekend bag and deliver it to the Nixon Estate.
Golden was the first to enter into the house. She sighted Varney seated on the couch sipping some tea.
She immediately rushed and flew into his arms, giving him a tight hug.
He had been away for two weeks and she missed him terribly.
“When did you get back V? Why didn't you tell me you were coming back today?” She asked with a pout.
“I wanted to surprise you princess, are you pleasantly surprised?” he asked pinching her on her nose.
Fab and Alex watched from the other side of the living room. Golden only showed this childish side in front of her brother, and it was always cute watching her be a child.
“Baby, there's still enough space in my arms for one more person.” Varney said to Alex with a lifted brow and an open arm.
“No thanks I'm good”, she said with a wave of her hand. “How long are you in town for this time around?” She asked.
“Give and take two months before I have to go to London again.”
“That's good then. My dad's wedding is next month and you have been selected to be a groomsman.” She informed him with a smile.
“As long as you are a bridesmaid, then that's fine” he said taking a sip of his tea.
“Arrghh! Can you guys stop? I can't take your flirting anymore.” Fab said shaking his head.
“You call this flirting? Oh please.” Alex rolled her eyes at Fab. “When I start flirting, you will know for sure.”
“Fab, your chauffeur dropped off your bag earlier. I assume you are spending the night so I arranged a room for you.
It's the fourth door by your left upstairs. You can go in and freshen up.” Varney said to Fab. He knew if he didn't step in sooner, he and Alex would continue to bicker.
“Well I invited them to spend the weekend. Hope that's okay?” Golden asked with a pout.
Alex was practically family, but this was the first time Golden had invited a guy to sleep over at the Estate and she didn't know if it would be cool with Varney.
Varney smiled and Golden, just one look at her and he knew her worries.
“It's okay princess, Fab is one of the girls so it's fine.”
Alex fell on the floor in an uncontrollable laughter. It felt good seeing Varney using his sarcasm on someone else for a change.
“I should be offended, but I'm not.” Fab stood up and made to leave the living room. “I'm going to take a bath and when I'm done, Alex we are going to battle.
Your boyfriend just released a new game and I need someone to train with before I face my community.”
Fab left after that. Golden went up to also freshen up, leaving Alex and V alone in the living room.
Alex stood up, went to Varney, sat on his laps and gave him a proper greeting.
