Chapter 94

Xavier and Jaxson sneak into the castle in a sneaky way.

"Are you sure we'll be able to find him? "Are you sure we can get him out without hurting ourselves?" While standing behind Xavier and waiting for his signal, Jaxson asked.

"Are you nuts? Do you think I'll sneak in this way if I'm sure of myself?" Xavier replied.

The grip Jaxson had on Xavier's arm got tighter. "Why did you agree that Lyca wouldn't come? If she's with us, we might be able to make it out alive!"

"Right now, Lyca has a lot to do, and we need her to leave for us to get out of here alive," Xavier said.

"No matter what Lyca does, I hope it happens fast..." Jaxson replied while making a prayer sign with his hand.

Xavier saw fast-moving witches. "The priestess seems to know about my connection to you and Kai... I don't know where to find him."

Jaxson took a moment to think. "–What about Crystal? Let's ask her for help..."

Xavier had no other choice but to sign and nod. "Do you know how to find her?"

Jaxson moved his head no. "I don't know the name of her room, but I know where it is. Last time I saw Kai and Crystal walking, they were..."

"Let's go... Since you know where you're going, show us the way." Xavier told Jaxson to go first and pulled him along.

They quickly got to one side of the castle. But they didn't think this part would have more witches.

"Seeing those witches makes me think we're on the right track," Xavier said as he hid in the thick vegetation.

"What do you suggest? I won't go into my enemy's stronghold..." Jaxson answered back while shaking. Even though he is a very strong and fast wolf, Jaxson has seen how different they are from sorcerers.

Xavier gets Jaxson. He knows that Jaxson had a fear of Queen Annabelle the last time they met her. "I'll entice them... Find Crystal once all the guards have been taken out."

"Wait! What do you mean by "lure"? "How do you deal with so many witches?" Jaxson could see the look of disappointment on his face.

Xavier laughed and patted Jaxson on the shoulder to make him feel better. "... Please don't worry. They won't kill me even if they catch me. Have you forgotten that for the prophecy to come true, they need me?"

Jaxson felt a little better, but he still had some doubts. "But you still need to be careful," he told Xavier before letting him go.

Once Xavier got to the hall, he walked calmly down the long hall. He whistled to make sure people would notice him.

Jaxson, who was watching, shook his head when he saw that all the witches had moved and were chasing Xavier. "This plan stinks! "If we make it through this night, I'll be nice and never come back here again!" he said as he quickly came out of hiding.

Crystal turned around in the room. Her eyes were swollen shut from crying while she was sitting on the floor.

"Jaxson! "Where are you going?" She was shocked and scared right away.

"Crystal, please help us! Jake was already taken by witches! They said that he was a thief! Jaxson quickly explained as he looked around.

Crystal gave a head shake. "It's not true... We were known to my grandmother. So, she took Kai prisoner to keep him from me..."

Jaxson put his name on the paper. "I was right! The person to blame is your grandmother. Anyway, I came here to ask if you know where Kai is being held.

Crystal nodded quickly. "In the castle's left wing. My grandmother sent Kai there so she could keep a better eye on him.

Jaxson was taken aback. "This stinks! If the priestess is close, then..."

"I will help you! I'll try to get the priestess's attention so you can get away!"

Jaxson agrees because he can see that Crystal is serious and telling the truth in her eyes. "Let's then g. There isn't much time left. Xavier only uses himself to get all the witches who are watching over you to come to him."

"Oh god! What was he thinking?!" Crystal yelled out in great fear. She was the first person to leave.

"Don't worry, Prince Xavier is strong. He can make it through the night without dying!" Jaxson said it with certainty.

"The priestess's main goal is to keep Xavier from getting close to Lyca! Kai and I are just chess pieces on her board!" Crystal's mean words.

Jaxson put his name on the paper. "Xavier is aware of that. Even so, he sticks to his plan. For him, Kai and I are his siblings who need him to look out for them..."

Crystal didn't know what to say when she saw the two friends together. After only a short time with the group, she saw how special their bond was... Even though she doesn't want it, she wants what Lyca has.

A few minutes later, Crystal and Jaxson got to the side of the castle where the priestess's room and Kai's prison were.

"That's strange... Why does it sound so quiet?" Crystal said something and then looked at Jaxson.

"It's enough that the Priestess is your jail guard... Maybe the other witches are looking for Xavier." Jaxson exclaimed in a hopeful way.

"I hope that's what's going on. Kai is in that door, though. Save him, please..." Crystal said this and gave Jaxson a smile.

"I don't see anything wrong, so why don't you come with us? Let's escape this place... You can come with us," Jaxson said to Crystal before she turned away.

Crystal just gave a smile and kept walking. In her heart, she wanted to go along with what Jaxson said. In fact, Kai had already told him to run away. "I wish I could break free from my grandmother's grip... She smiled in a sad way.

Both doors were reached by Jaxson and Crystal at the same time. Both of them are scared and nervous because they know that danger is waiting for them.

"Eek..." At the same time, two doors creak open.
