Chapter 86

"Lyca! where do you want to go?" Crystal was surprised to see the group leave where they had been staying.

"Were you checking out the village? Were we told that we couldn't leave?" Lyca asked with a frown.

Crystal looks embarrassed, especially since Kai is there and looking at her. "I didn't mean that... You can go see the city if you want to, but not right now... The Priestess has made you a bouquet..."

"For me? Why? We don't need to throw a party to welcome us because we all know we're not welcome "Lyca rolled her eyes and kept going.

"And who says you are not welcome in this country?" A woman in her forties walks with her arms outstretched and a smile on her face.

Lyca looked at Crystal with confused eyes because it was clear that the hug that was about to happen was for her.

"Meet your aunt Madison..."

"After eighteen years, I finally got to meet my beautiful niece!" Madison replied while tightly hugging Lyca. But the smile went away as soon as it noticed something. Madison pulled away from Lyca's embrace right away and stared hard. She said as she looked at Lyca's chest, "It looks like your life is full of color."

"Unfortunately, strange things keep happening to me that I never thought would..." Lyca spoke up. She knew what Madison was talking about. "Since you say you're my aunt, maybe you can help me," Lyca said, looking at Madison with hope.

"I should probably call your mother and beat her up!" Madison answered back and signed, and then she looked at Crystal. "...go ahead, I'll walk them to the bouquet hall..."

"...Okay, but don't take too long. The priestess doesn't like to wait," Crystal said as she turned and walked away. But Kai ran after her quickly.

When Crystal and Kai went missing, Madison went back to talk to Lyca.

"I can't believe your mother will take away your power!" Madison yelled and clenched her fist in shock.

Lyca's face showed that she was surprised, and then she looked at Xavier with worry.

"That's not our top priority right now..." Xavier said, "Come here," and he held Lyca's hand.

This made Madison raise an eyebrow. "Are you stupid? What do you mean that's not the most important thing to you?! Having her power seal means you and she will be apart."

Lyca and Xavier looked at each other and wondered how Madison knew about them.

"I can't believe you have to start over just to take this position!" Madison said something and then looked back. She walked ahead without saying anything, and Lyca and Xavier quickly caught up.

"What will happen then? Does it really seem like Xavier can't get away from his curse?" Lyca asked without waiting.

"Huh! You really are a lot like your mom! You still blame other people, even though you are the one with the big problem." Madison rolled her eyes in anger. Then, face Xavier. "How could you make her into a beast?!"

Xavier is at a loss for words; he doesn't know what to say... He can't say that Lyca's smell makes him want to be with her, so he loses control and bites her.

"It's not his fault, and if he hadn't turned me, I'd probably be dead by now!" Right away, Lyca stood up for Xavier.

"Huh! You really are Arianna's child!" Madison replied in a sarcastic way. "-But since he is the cursed one, your relationship will be put to the test... While you- Your mother's stupidity almost cost you the chance to be his other half! But now that I'm here, we can do something about it..."

"What will you do? I can't do anything right now. I'm not strong enough or caring enough to fight for our love..." Lyca made a claim and signed.

"Don't worry about anything... Now is the time to think about the bouquet. Since you can get the help you need... Your grandma, "Madison gave a snort.

"Who is my grandma? Why? Can she give me help? I thought you'd be able to do it?" Right away, Lyca was upset.

"Are you crazy! Your ancestors did the work to open the source of your magic. Your grandmother can do that because she is still alive." Madison was thinking as she shrugged.

"Here we are... You know how to act like a princess because you are one "Before she opened the door, Madison whispered.

When everyone in the room was looking at Lyca, she didn't move. She didn't think there would be more than a dozen elders, let alone girls her age.

"Hmm... This feast is way better than I thought it would be! Do I need this?" Madison's voice rang out through the hall, and her smile was wide. Then she walked in front of Lyca and Xavier, which made everyone look at her.

"Madison, you'll never change, right? You are still loud and looking for attention." The Priestess gave a cold answer. It's in the middle, and there's an old man with dark eyes to the right.

"Don't bother my daughter, Priestess... We all know how great she is, even though she seems useless..."

"Well, thanks for the compliment, mom... Yes, I miss you too, but this little princess wanted to meet you, so please sit next to your grandmother, my beautiful niece..." Madison says something, not letting anyone talk over her.

At the end, Xavier sat next to Jaxson. As dinner started, the girls next to them couldn't hide their interest. Both of these guys have something special about them that they love.

"So you're the one with the curse... It means that one of us will be your lover "One of the girls said to Xavier with a seductive smile, "I'll show you."

"Ha ha ha, my Prince is already taken, so you can't be his lover," Jaxson said with a sneer as he ate.

"Taken? Really? Who is the girl who isn't lucky?"

"What do you mean, bad luck! My prince is lucky to be with Princess Lyca." Jaxson answered back.

On Lyca's side of the table, it was easy to hear what was being said at the other end of the table, so everyone was looking at her.

"So, Princess Lyca, is it true that you're in love with the cursed prince? Are you not aware of the prophecy? If you are not the chosen one, you can't have him..." The Priestess made this claim.

Lyca puts the fork down gently and looks at the Priestess with a soft smile. "The prophecy has nothing to do with how I feel about Prince Xavier... These girls can have the job they want, but that guy is mine, and I don't plan to give him to anyone else."

The Priestess's smile vanished in an instant, and the hands holding the cutlery stiffened and shook, showing that she was trying to hold back anger.

"I think what my granddaughter was trying to say was that she loves the guy, which is fine. I'm sure no one wants to give up their favorite..."

"Mother, you're right... And as far as I can remember, the prophecy never said who the cursed one was... Yes, Prince Xavier is cursed, but he is not the only one who can change form... The guy next to him and the one with Crystal are also shapeshifters, so let's not just pay attention to him." Madison says her thought to get the Priestess to stop being angry.

When the Priestess heard this, she took a deep breath to calm herself down. "Well, we'll find out if this prince is the cursed one during the process of choosing. You can no longer say that he belongs to Princess Lyca if he is the one..."

When Lyca said this, she couldn't stop herself. Her grip on the glass got so tight that it broke. "Your so-called prediction doesn't work for everyone. Xavier and I were both never interested in being in your play."

Everyone is stunned and can't say anything. They had no idea this would happen, and when Lyca's eyes changed color, they were even more shocked.

This is Xavier's cue to move. He got up quickly and was at Lyca's place in a split second. "We should go," he said softly to Lyca to try to calm her down. Xavier didn't wait for Lyca to answer before picking her up and leaving the hall.

Everyone who was still at the table didn't move. Because the event happened so quickly, no one did anything.

"Mom, I think we should check up on them..." Madison was the first to speak.

"Correct...correct... We're sorry, Priestess, but we have to go..."

Madison helps her mother walk while telling what's wrong with Lyca.

"I was sure... I knew Lyca was trouble as soon as I saw her..." Still, she has a bright smile.
