DAY 14.2 – The Confession of a nerd

Jano’s Point of View

“I had to go. I have a lot of things to do!”

I said. I’m about to turned around when He holds my hands and pulled it down so I loss my balance and ended up with his chest.

‘If your heart beats so fast when he’s closer to you’

I don’t know but I heard Giro’s voice, and yes, my heart was beating too fast.

“What are you doing?”

I almost jumped when I heard a strong voice from the door.

“DAD!”

I quickly stand when I saw his father standing at the doorway.

“Why are you here?”

Fred said in a lower voice then he completely went inside the room.

Fred didn’t expect him to visit, maybe because they not close to each other because of what happened to their family.

His father is very nice and very professional I know he loves fred because it’s his only son, even he don’t say anything about to fred I know he loves fred so much.

“Nothing, I just want to check you if you’re okay, are you alright? Do you want anything?”

Mr. Montemayor ask continuously, he seems worried about Fred, He visit Fred even he had a lot of things to do just to check his son.

On some point I feel jealous to Fred, even his mother does not around him, still there’s his father who always look around him.

Fred didn’t responsed to him and turned his face at the window.

“Uhm, Excuse me I forgot that I had a lot of things to do, so please excuse me”

I excuse then I went out straight.

I’m about to completely close the door when I heard Fred.

“Dad! Do something!”

Fred said like he’s pleading for something he want to get.

“You know what son, pleading for someone is not enough for them to stay it’s their choice if they want to stay or not, if he loves you he will stay. You don’t have to do anything, just love him.”

His father sincerely said.

Those lines hit me, I don’t know who are they talking about, but I realized he’s right, staying is a choice, but loving a person is not.

I went down straight at the kitchen, and sit down at the chair.

I just think about soething, should I stay? Should I follow my heart?

I bowed my head on the dinning table because I couldn’t think properly.

I rose up my head when I heard Mr. Montemayor steping down from the stair, He just talk to me about the noticed he got from the agency where I came from, and yeah tomorrow is my last day and yet I couldn’t decide if I would like to pull it out. Is it obvious and I’m admited to myself that I don’t want to leave here, but I couldn’t say anything to stay here.

I’m here at the living area together with Louie and Ken, while cedric is in the room together with Fred.

“You know what, Fred is very healthy, I couldn’t get why he got sick?”

Loiue said while looking at the window, he keeps thinking about Fred, I’m sure he’s worried too, especially it’s very first time that they saw fred like that.

“Psh He’s fine, he just need someone”

Ken’s mumbled.

I couldn’t hear it properly so I look at him, I saw Louie looking at me, while ken was busy to his phone.

“What?”

I ask Louie when he still looking at me, He just pouted his lips and swing his head.

“It’s my second tme to see him like that, when his mother left them, he got confined because of the high fever and unconscious, I remember that night I tried to look him around but I couldn’t find him, the rain was too strong and it’s very cold that night, I found him sitting on the ground at the playground where he always played with his mom, he’s crying like a child until he fainted. Since then I didn’t see him like that before, even if jonas left him alone, but now he seems like before again, maybe he really came back the way I know him. He’s like that when he didn’t get what he wants”

Ken explains, I don’t know how I could react after hearing Ken.

“You know what cuttie boy sometimes we need to open our eyes just to see those small things around us, just like what they said, the reason why our eyes were on our face is to see whats in front on us.”

Everything went worst because of what he said and I really didn’t get what his trying to say.

He chuckled when he saw me confused. He‘s sitting next to Louie but he stood up and sit on my right side.

“Hais! You’re so cute, if you really confused just close your eyes and place your hand this”

He said then he put my hand on my chest. Then he stands up and go back next to Louie who’s now busy to his phone.

“Then if you were confused because of a person, just hug him then close your eyes”

Then he hugs Louie so tight then closes his eyes. I saw Louie startled because of what he does, He quickly stand up and push away Ken.

“What are you doing?”

He muttered then he goes up stairs.

Ken chuckled a bit because of the reaction of Louie, I don’t know but it’s very obvious that there’s something between on them.

“Then you will find all the answer about to your confusion.”

He said before he stands up and went up stairs.

I don’t know but everything he said keep echoing in my ears, I just swing my head because of that, I focus my attention to the house and clean everything.

I can hear them from here at the living area, they laughing just like the normal days, I can hear like they’re playing around inside the room, on some point I feel better because of them, it looks like Fred’s getting better since I can hear his laugh.

I started my job and went at the kitchen to prepare some food for them, It’ already 5 in the afternoon and also I need to prepare our dinner.

While preparing here in the kitchen, I heard the door bell rang, and I saw Louie ran going out to open the gate, I went first to the bathroom and when I went out, I saw giro standing next at the dinning table while arranging some groceries.

“How are you?”

He greeted me, my eyes were automatically wide open and run over him and hug him tight.

“Giro!”

I almost shouted because of the amazement.

“Okay! Chill, it’s been yesterday when we met haha”

He said then he chuckled.

I quickly moved away when I realized what I’ve done.

“I’m sorry I just carried away, why are you here?”

He didn’t respond me when Louie interrupts us.

“Hey! Come up to the room okay? Ken and Ced were there”

Louie said before he went up stairs.

“Do you know them?”

I ask him confusedly.

“Yup! Fred is my cousin”

Then he chuckled, I was shocked when I heard him. All this time I didn’t know that they were related?

“Hey chill! Your eyes might getting wide continuously if you don’t stop that”

He jokes then chuckled.

I really can’t believe that they were cousins so I ask many question as I can, he helped me to prepare some foods and fruits, He said that he’s very happy to get here, it seems like they had a reunion.

We went up together to eat at the room, we decided to had a dinner here in Fred’s room because of Fred.

“Hey Giro!”

Ken greeted Giro when we get in and he gives him a buddy hug.

“Hey!” Cedric said without any expression.

Giro just nodded at him, I went straight to Fred to give him his foods but it seems he looks like he possessed again by some entity because he looks very serious now and annoyed.

I put down the tray on his side table, while Louie cleaning the door so we can eat at the door at the same time.

“How are you?”

Giro asks Fred when he comes closer to him.

“I’m fine” He replied casually.

“Your mother is here in the Philippines, and he would like you to see her”

I look at to them when I heard Giro, I saw Fred and he looks shocked at first, but he’s face quickly change, he was like confused and plain.

After they talk we started to eat our diner, Fred is in his bed while we were sitting at the floor, Giro sits besides me and caught Fred glanced at me.

Everyone is so happy and I can say they miss each other much.

I look at Fred and he seems he doesn’t have an appetite

“Fred, just eat at least a bit so you can take your medicine”

I said just to remind him.

But I almost chocked when I saw him putting like a kid.

“I’m fine! I don’t have an appetite”

He said.

“Just eat a little bit, so you can gain your strength”

I insisted on him.

“Why don’t you try to feed him?”

Ken teased me, I glared at ken when I heard him.

“Yup! Because he doesn’t want to eat if there’s no one who could feed him”

Louie added then they laugh.

I look at giro and he’s quiet, he just gives me a smile when he noticed that I was looking at him.

I look back to ken and I caught him smiling, he quickly change his expression when he saw me looking at him.

I don’t have a choice so I stand up at come next to him.

“Psh! what a jerk”

I mumbled to myself.

“What?” Fred asks. I just give him a bitter smile and get his plates to feed him.

I was about to feed him when the doorbell rang, I was confused because I don’t have any idea who is the other guest, maybe his other friend that I don’t know yet.

Louie presented himself to open the gate and run going down. I look at Fred and he’s really confused too, everyone was really confused too, maybe because they didn’t expect it too.

Then a moment later Louie came back together with

Jonas.

“Fred” everyone is silent while looking at Fred and Jonas, Jonas walked towards to Fred like he doesn’t see me on his way, I was sit back after he Louie came back and now he bumped my shoulder and the plates slipped on my hand.

The food scattered around my hips and he just looked down on me and mumbled.

“Tch! What an idiot”

I heard him because everyone was silent, they looking at me like they saying to don’t mind him, besides I really don’t mind him since he looks like more idiot than me because he didn’t see me sitting on his way.

“Are you okay? How are you/”

I heard him asking Fred, while Fred was strangely staring at me, I look back at him but he didn’t say anything besides he just smile at Jonas.

“Yup, I’m alright I just feel tired and a little bit of dizziness”

Fred replied on him while acting like he had a headache.

Psh! what’s wrong with him? He’s not like that a while ago.

“Hey! I said if you were okay?”

I look at the person who speaks near me. Its giro and I didn’t notice him that he is helping me to put all the mess on me.

“huh? Ya-yeah! I’m alright!”

I just said to him, I look back to Fred and he’s busy to talk with Jonas, maybe he looks fine now especially the person who waited him for so long is now in front of him.

“Ah! I’m fine!”

I said then stand up then I cleaned the messed on the floor and went down straight at the kitchen.

I just stay here for about a minute, I don’t know but I feel like my energy drained.

After a minute I prepared the medicine for Fred and went up straight, I saw Jonas feeding Fred while laughing to each other, I caught Fred glanced at me for a second but he quickly turned his eye back to Jonas and laugh again. I look at to the others and they’re all silence and very serious while watching Fred and Jonas.

“Ah! Fred”

I interrupt them and everyone turned around me.

“Uhm, Yo-your medicine”

I added.

“Just put it here and you may go, I can handle it for Fred”

Jonas directly said.

But I was stuck on Fred’s eyes but he just moves away his eyes from me.

I nodded my eyes and place the medicine on the side table.

“Ehem, who wants to watch a movie?”

Louie breaks up the awkwardness.

“Me! I’d like to watch horror movie”

Cedric agreed then stand up from the couch.

“Uhm Wa-wait!”

Ken said then he followed them together with giro.

“What do you think Fred?”

I turn my face on Fred when I heard Jonas asks him. I caught him staring at me but he quickly moves it away and smile at Jonas.

“Yup! Let’s watch”

Jonas carries him to stand up and guide him to go out on the room.

“Fred”

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but my mouth automatically called him.

“What?”

He turned around and looks at me like he was waiting for something.

“Uhmm..” I glanced at the side table “Uhmm don’t forget your medicine.”

I just said.

“Ah right!”

Jonas said and gets it then they went down together and leave me here. I was standing here, I don’t know what I should feel but there’s something in my heart, it was like someone holding it tight, I can’t breathe.

Then I found out my tears flows down to my face.

For the very first time, I feel worthless because of Fred, and yes it’s really hurt.

“They look happy right?”

I look up to the person who speak up, I saw Giro standing at the door way.

I quickly wiped my tears and chuckled a bit.

“Huh? Ya-yeah! You all look happy, it’s been a long time since the last time you’ve been all together right?”

I said then smile at him.

But suddenly there’s a tear betrayed me and flow down from my eye.

He just walks towards me then hug me tight.

This time, I can’t hold my emotions and I cried on his chest then hugged him back.

I don’t know why am like this. I don’t want to see him like this, I feel like I want to be selfish but I can’t.

It’s freaking hurt to see him laughing like that.

Fred’s Point of view

Tss! What is he doing here? Is he come here for Jano? Asit! I told him to stay away from Jano, and besides he already knows about my feelings to Jano so what is Giro trying to do here?

I don’t had an appetite, I’m very annoyed because of Giro, especially when I look him together with my Jano.

Yeah! With MY JANO tss. I’d like to emphasize it to let them know that he is mine!

I was happy when they push Jano to feed me, but suddenly came happened and the bell rang!

The fuck! I don’t know who the hell came up tss. My mood quickly changes because of that doorbell.

Tss. I promise I will put that doorbell out next time. It’s interrupted us.

Haist, if there’s no one is here, I’m sure I will rape my wife Jano!

Sheez! Why am I sounds so sweet slash maniac? Any way, it’s pretty cool to heard it “my WIFE” nice, I feel like I am married with him.

Everyone was shocked when we saw Jonas standing at the door way.

He sounds worried, what is he doing here? I was shocked on the moment and I didn’t know how to react.

I just found out Giro helping with Jano putting all the mess.

My mood changes and I feel very envious.

I was furious that time, I feel like they’re stepping my pride! I act like I was happy with Jonas. Laugh plastically.

I don’t know but I’m very annoyed, it’s Jano’s place to carry me, but he let Jonas to do this such things!

After we ate, they went down to at the down to watch a movie, I don’t want to go there but Jonas asks me and I don’t have a choice but to join them.

Before we went out on my room, I heard Jano called me, I taught he would like me to stay in the room but he just reminds me about my medicine.

I don’t what any medicine. He’s the one who I needed the most.

I noticed that Jano seems very tired, he looks not okay, and I feel worried about him. aist! I’d like to talk to him, maybe later.

We’re all here on the living room when I noticed that Giro and Jano doesn’t here.

“mmmm Do you want this?”

Jonas asks me if I like a piece of grapes, I just smiled at him and eat it.

I turned around my head and I didn’t see Giro and Jano.

“uhmm I forgot my phone on my room”

I said and stand up

“Do you want me to pick it up for you?

Jonas volunteer, but I insisted

I went up on my room to check my phone but everything went silent when I heard someone’s crying.

I was about to enter on my room but I saw Giro and Jano hugging each other.

Everything went Freezes like I was freeze because of the bunch of ice. My heart beats so fast and I couldn’t breathe properly.

Shit! I need air!

Everything went dark when I saw giro holding Jano’s Face. My I closed my hands and gripped it tight, I don’t know but I could hold my self, I want him to punch on his face!

I was about to step forward when I feel someone’s hand on my shoulder.

I saw Ken swinging his head.

I came back to my mind and turned back, I went back at the living room without any expressions, everyone is here and still I can feel my angriness.

I went on my room and just take I rest.

I don’t want to see them. I don’t want anyone of them!

Hours has past, I woke up because of someone’s touching my face. It’s warm and very smooth, I know who it is. It’s Jano, I didn’t open my eyes and just feel his hand, and it’s very comfortable.

Everything is silent and I didn’t hear anything, maybe they all went home.

I was about to open my eyes when I heard Giro’s voice, Tss I thought they’ll left.

“Do you feel better now?”

Huh? Is he talking to me?

“yup! I’m fine, Thank you”

Jano Remove his hand on my face. He put the comforter around me.

“Jano! I have to tell you something!”

Giro said.

Everything went silence, I don’t know but I feel like I’m scared, is he confessing?

“Ha-huh? Wha-what is it?”

I feel Jano’s breathe touching my faces, it is a sign that he was looking at me.

“I...”

I what??

I wait the next word and hoping I was wrong, but...

“I... Like you”

Giro confessed his feelings for Jano.
