Close as moments but years apart.......'

EJ stands there with a smirk on his face. Kathleen was aware that he was furious for the incident that took place few minutes ago. Neither he took the book from her hand nor said a word to her. He just stood there with a tensed face. Kathleen drops the hand that was holding the book for a while and started doing the work that Laura assigned her for.
Kathleen avoids looking at his face since it frightening and fearful sight. EJ stood there glaring while Kathleen continued printing the pages that Laura asked for. She found the silence to be uncomfortable,? she stopped working and glanced at him for a while.
"What?", she asked him in low tone. He didn't give her any answers but stood there staring with a frown.
"Okay, Ethan. I'm sorry!! I didn't mean any of this to happen. I promise it stays within us, I swear", assured Kathleen, holding her larynx (throat). EJ showed no reaction towards her actions. As time flew by, Kathleen found it frustrating to look at EJ who stood there with a disgusting look on his face. He hadn't uttered a single word for the past few minutes. It was Kathleen who kept apologizing and swearing that it didn't happen on purpose.
"You know what, GET LOST!', hissed EJ and left the place in hurry. Kathleen couldn't believe her eyes that EJ got annoyed for the incident and he even snapped at her, (yelling at her to get lost) .
Kathleen was so embarrassed that she doesn't know how to face him from now on. And she wasn't sure that EJ is gonna act normal towards her. She has created a lots of chaos in the past few days. It's been only few days ever since she joined the university. She knew something for sure- she is not gonna have a customarily life like all other girls here.
..............................
Kathleen reached the library around 7 in the evening. It was enchanting sight to look at the library with all those beautiful glowing lights and the luminescence around the fountain was bewitching.
Kathleen admired the glimmering beauty of the library for few minutes and rushed towards the book section of businesses.
"Hey, what took you so long, kath!" enquired Janice looking up from her paperwork.
"Have you brought the printouts?", asked Laura. Kathleen handed out the printouts to Laura. She sat in a chair and banged her head on the table. She got hit in her deep cut wound again.
"Ouch", kath signed.
"Hey, kath, what's up? What happened? You don't look alright? Tell me, what's going on in that tiny head", demanded Janice. Laura stopped working and looked at Kathleen.
"Oh god, how do I tell you?", cried Kath hugging Janice who sat beside her.
"Then something has happened for sure, tell me what it is?", replied Janice patting her back.
Then Kathleen narrates the whole story starting from the time when she reached C block and the following events that took place after it. Once she finishes narrating, she looks up at Janice and Laura with a pity face.
For a minute, Laura and janice looked at each and other, and started laughing hard. Laura cackled with laughter and fell onto the floor .
While, Janice gave a chortle and tried to stop herself from laughing but she couldn't. Kathleen stood there with a frown on her face, while both her friends were experiencing ROFL.
"Girls, shhhhhh, silence, do remember that we are in library!", confessed Kathleen. The girls decided to stop laughing but they kept giggling for a while.
"How could you do that bravely?", questions Laura adjusting her black frames.
"I just don't know. I acted out of fear!! I didn't mean to hurt him", assured Kathleen with a sad face.
"But, you are definitely something, Kathleen", chuckled Janice.
"Yeah, she is something!! Not all girls have the gutsy to Attack 'the great EJ'", laughed Laura.
"Come on, guys. I feel bad, embarrassed and ashamed at my own act. How am I gonna face him at campus from now on", cried Kathleen.?
"Yeah, I don't think this is gonna end here! EJ will definitely make you pay for this", stated Laura.
"Shut up, don't panic her!! Look at the disoriented face of hers, she is worried", claimed Janice.
"Laura is right, Jay !! He is not gonna be easy on me for anything. You should have seen his face after the incident, I feel really bad for myself", bragged Kathleen.
"Kath, come on!! This is not the Kath I knew so far. The kath I knew would be a baddass girl who slaps people who don't treat others right!! So, there is nothing to worry, this might have happened to anyone out there. I would have acted like you as well", concludes Janice giving her a smile.
"She is right, Kath!! Don't worry, you have got us for good and bad", assured Laura.
"Awww, Jay you are my savior", said Kathleen.
"But, I have to tell you this, kath. I don't know this- either you go in search of trouble or the trouble comes in search of you", teased Janice for which Laura chuckled.
"Okay, enough for now!! Come on let's head to dormitory !! It's getting late", signed Kathleen.
"Kath, can't you see someone is having a great time!! Look at her, full of happy smiles", said Laura, pointing at Janice who made a pout.
"Oh, something is not right? What happened?,Jay", kathleen nudged her.
Janice narrates her encounter with Gerald and all the things that happened further.
"Oh, now I get it!! He is having a good influence on you. Can't you see, you have turned out to spread good vibes even at bad times", insisted Kathleen.
"Awww, that blue eyes... you know what is the best part, he addressed me as his girl!! How sweet!!", Janice said dreamily. Kathleen and Laura rolled their eyes together.
I love it when you call me se?orita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh, la-la-la
It's true, la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming for ya......Janice sang and made few moves around Kathleen and Laura who were standing their with a weary expression on their faces.
Later, they dragged her out of the library while Janice continued singing and dancing all along the way. The day came to end for Kathleen. That night while writing her diary, she decided on something, that she would never cross paths with EJ and his circle. She decided to maintain a low key for few days.
'I'll never ever look in the direction of EJ!! Though he tries to create troubles for me, I'm gonna avoid all those mess and stay perfectly fine'.
.....................................
The morning was pleasant but it was a sunny day. Kathleen changed the plaster on her forehead into a new one, since the last one looked red in color.
Kathleen had statistics class for the morning session which means she has to come across EJ and his friends. Kathleen decided to stay away from them and not even to look in their direction. She was embarrassed about the incident that happened last night.
Kathleen plugged on her earphones and started walking towards the classroom because 'Sometimes music is the only medicine the heart and soul needs'.
She reached the classroom and found it to be half filled. She avoids looking at the right corner where the EJ'S circle occupies. She could sense EJ and his people looking at her. She takes up the seat in the second row. She takes out her book and the necessary things.
Someone pulls her ponytail and she yelled a 'ouch'. Before she could turn around to find who it was, Noah takes up the seat before her.
"Oh, Noah. It was you!!", said Kathleen with a stare.
"Yeah, I pulled it to get your attention", chuckled Noah and flashes his killer smile.
"Haha. Not so funny", said Kathleen in a? sarcastic tone.
"Hey, does it hurt now?", asked Noah pointing out her forehead. Noah brought his fingers near her forehead to witness her wound but Kathleen moves back.
"Fine, Fine!! I won't touch it", Noah drops his hand. Noah could see EJ hawking at him for no reason. EJ showed a irritated look towards Noah.
"Kath, I don't get it. Why is this EJ glaring at us?", confessed Noah. Kathleen's eyes widened on Noah's statement but she remained cool.
"Noah, it's nothing. We better stay away from them", whispered Kathleen and Noah agreed to her. The statistics class began shortly.
...........................
The class came to an end. Kathleen rushed out faster in order to avoid any type of encounter with EJ. She ran faster than usual and stopped near the 7th classroom where painting class is conducted usually but today, the classroom seemed empty.
'Oh, shit!! I left Noah and I didn't wave him goodbye as well. God, what do I do', Kathleen scolds herself for leaving Noah behind without his knowledge.
She takes out her phone and messages him that she was sorry and she was in a hurry.
Before she could move away from the place, a painting caught her attention. It was displayed on the display board outside the classroom.
The painting was? alluring and flawless. It was the picture of castle with lights that seemed to be inspired from the movie tangled. Kathleen loved the painting so much that she captured images of it in her mobile phone.
She wanted to know the artist behind this painting but there was no name specified below the painting. There was something scribbled like nes.
Kathleen wondered if there was anyone named after this word.
