Kathleen had enough for the day and went straight to her dormitory. Laura was busy reading a book while she reached her room.
"Hey, kath!! How was your day?", asked Laura still looking at her book.
"Nothing interesting", signed Kathleen falling to her bed.
"Where is Jane?? And what are you reading?", asked Kathleen.
"Jane is at the library, I hope so. And I'm having a test tomorrow regarding what I'm reading!!", replied Laura still looking at her book.
"Ohh, alright!! I'll take some rest after shower since I have nothing to do for now!!", said Kathleen leaving her room to shower.
........................
"Kath, can we go to the library as well?!", Laura expressed to Kathleen while she was trying to get rid of the band aid from her forehead.
"Library, but why?? I have changed my clothes, Laura. Look I'm in shorts and t-shirt, isn't that a problem?", emphasized Kathleen.
"Hey, come on, Kath. I have projects to do as well and I need your help", pleaded Laura making puppy face.
"Fine. Fine. We'll go and no more puppy faces", kathleen accepted on going to the library. She changed the band aid on her forehead into a new one.
"Come on, let's go", Laura dragged Kathleen out of the room and they walked together to the library.

As the sun was about to set in few hours, few thin strips of clouds on the horizon turned shimmering gold. It was lovely walk in the evening and the weather was brighter, breezy and pleasant. Now, kathleen couldn't regret coming out of her room.
"So, I need you to help me!!", demanded Laura, stopping Kathleen in front of the library. Kathleen nodded and mouthed a yes.
"I'll bring you few books from the library and I need you to bring me printouts from the important pages of the books", requests Laura.
"Yep, I'm ready but where do I get to print out the pages?", questioned Kathleen looking confused.
"From the computer lab", said Laura and made sure Kathleen remembers the computer lab in the campus.
"Yeah, I get it now! You bring me books and I'll have to get print outs from the computer lab and give them to you, meeting here again at the library, Am I right?", she asked doubtfully.
"One hundred percent correct", assured Laura.
"Okay then, I'll wait here and you, go and get me the books soon!", claimed Kathleen, searching for a place to sit. Laura runs inside the library to get the necessary books.
Kathleen finds a spot near the fountain. There was a large fountain near the entrance of the library. And right to the fountain, there were few lawn seats made out of stone. Kathleen decided to sit in one of them.
The beautiful weather made her feel happy and it was rejuvenating to enjoy such fine weather. She decided to hear some music as it could increase her happy mood furthermore. She plugged on her earphones and listened to 'A Thousand years by Christina Perri'!!
Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave?
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall?
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow
One step closer
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything take away
What's standing in front of me
Every breath
Every hour has come to this
One step closer
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
One step closer
One step closer
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more...............
Kathleen has completely lost consciousness of her environment and she started humming and swaying her head left to right.
"What are you listening to?", asked that unfamiliar male voice who sat right beside her. Kathleen turns to find the guy named Robert whom she came across in the basketball ball court.
He was charming and enticing when looked close. Kathleen couldn't believe her eyes that his face looked alluring and flawless under the evening sun.
'Oh my gosh, can anyone be this beautiful in person?? Okay, hold on. I'm drooling right now!! Stop it, Kath' Kathleen thought herself and? frowned to act cool before him.
"Hey, hello, I asked you a simple question and why do you have to stare for it ?", emphasized Robert.
"And why do you care?", replied back Kathleen looking at her phone, avoiding his enchanting face.
"Woah, that's was the best reply I've ever got!! Is there a song named 'why do you care'?? I haven't heard anything that sort", confessed Robert who remained cool throughout the time.?
Kathleen rolled her eyes for the comment.
"So, what's your name? Myself Robert, Robert Wilson!", he introduces and awaits for her reply while she pretended? looking at her phone.
"Hey, come on!! It's good to open up to new people in life", added Robert looking at her.
"Not interested", Kathleen gave an immediate reply.
"Fine then. I'll name you myself. How about Barbie doll?", grinned Robert.
"What ? Barbie?? Robert Wilson, I'm not into flirting and dating, patching up and other stuffs and most importantly I'm not interested in you", snapped Kathleen with a fake smile.
"Hold on, I didn't ask you to date me!! I'm just giving you a name 'Barbie' because you look like one", said Robert.
"Barbie dolls looks pretty and they aren't small like me", denied Kathleen.
"So, are you !!", winked Robert.
"You are cheesy", chuckled Kathleen taking his comment as a joke. He laughed as well. Kathleen's phone rings out of nowhere. It was Laura's call.
"See you, Robert!! Have got work to do", kathleen waved him a bye and walked towards the library.
"See you, Barbie", he smiled at her.
..........................
"So, you remember the directions to computer lab, right? it's in C block!!
Or you want me to accompany you?", asked Janice handing over the books that Laura gave her.
"No, Jay!! I'll be fine and you have got your stuff? to do, right?", assured Kathleen taking the books from her.
"Laura is busy collecting few more books and be back here before 6.30. I'll wind up my project work before it", yawned Janice.
"Go on, continue doing your work, and don't sleep!! Tomorrow is the last day of your project submission", teased Kathleen. Janice poked out her tongue making Kathleen laugh hard.
.................................
It was six in the evening when she reached the C block. The block was little creepy and dark. Not a lot of students was seen there. Kathleen couldn't see any students in the corridor.
"Oh, it's bit spine chilling with all these dark places, empty corridors and dancing trees due to air", Kathleen talked to herself. But Kathleen isn't afraid of dark or scary, horror things. Actually she is lover of horror stories.
"Is it the right or left turn from here. I'm confused", kathleen couldn't guess the computer lab. But all the classrooms and labs were left open.
She continued walking straight and stopped at the end of the hallway. She turned around and found a tall boy wearing a hoodie sweater walking behind her. She could've get to see his face since his hoodie covered it.
'Who the hell is he?? Why is he walking into this empty block', mumbled Kathleen feeling a little creepy for the first time.
She walks faster and turned back and checked for every single step she walked. He kept following her. Finally Kathleen found the computer lab.
She enters it and found it to be empty and dark. She peeps out to check if the hoodie boy is out somewhere. To her surprise, he was also walking towards the computer lab.
'Oh, my God, oh god, what do i do.? Chill Kathleen, Don't panic. He is just a random guy from the campus. What if he happens to be a psycho serial killer. No that can't happen. I'm not ready to die. I have watched a 'n number of movies, this is the part where the killer gets to torture and murder a student. Oh, god! Kathleen stop it. Don't have negative thoughts. It's all right. You know what to do! Come on think ', Kathleen couldn't stop shaking in fear. She have to do something to escape from the serial killer(she assumed him as killer).
Kathleen decided to attack him with the book she had in hand. So she hid behind the door and she thought of attacking him once he enters the lab. So, she stood behind the door waiting for him to enter the room. She was ready in the position to attack.
The hoodie boy enters the lab and Kathleen jumps into him and beats him with the book. He fell into the ground and she was standing on top of him.
"Hey, how dare you!! You serial killer, I'll show you who I'm!! You deserve to get beaten up", spoke kathleen and beat him vigorously with the book.
He couldn't bare with her, he pushed her down into the floor.
"Ouch, I won't leave you alone", shouted? Kathleen, throwing the books at him.
"Stop, just stop", said that familiar voice standing up from the ground. He revealed his face bringing his hoodie down.
"Ethan, it was you!!", yelled Kathleen and her face turned red in embarrassment. EJ's face had a furious expression.
"Ahmmm, I'm sorry", muttered Kathleen, not looking at his eyes in embarrassment.
"Are you insane?", chided EJ rubbing his forehead and face since Kathleen hit him continuously with the book.
"Sorry, I actually misunderstood", mumbled Kathleen looking at the floor.
"I definitely think you need to have a mental medical check up", spoke back EJ.
Kathleen couldn't believe he was scolding her for real. It all happened due to her overthinking capacity. She said a final sorry and moved towards the printer room to take out the printouts.
"Hey, hello. I'm talking to you. Can't you see that", gushed EJ walking behind her.
"So, what you want me to do? Yeah, I'm sorry for my mistake. I didn't do it intentionally. So, still if you don't believe, you can beat me as well. Here, take this book", proclaimed Kathleen, lending him the book. EJ stands there looking at her with his hand crossed over his chest.
