CHAPTER 29: WORKING TOGETHER

Eleanor didn't believe it at first so she asked for a duel which we always do before.

I might have transferred into a female body but I still have the skills and the wits to win a duel.

A minute didn't pass and Eleanor suddenly stopped and just hugged me.

She heaved a deep sigh and said, "Welcome back Aizen," a smirk formed on my lips as she said that.

Just after that, Gwen and her husband came rushing to us thinking something bad happened so I told her it was all good and we knew each other.

"So? What happened exactly?" Eleanor asked as she crossed her legs.

"We're still looking into that," Hudson replied.

"Do you want me to help?" Eleanor asked once again.

I shook my head and said, "You've already left this kind of life, you're a new leaf now. You shouldn't attract enemies,"

Eleanor sighed and threw a glance, "I'll only help behind the scenes like Raegan does, and don't worry about my family. I've already trained my kids the ropes around times like this," Eleanor said with a devilish smirk on her face.

I shook my head in disbelief and agreed afterward. three heads are better than two anyway.

" So, brief me about what you have found out so far," Eleanor asked Hudson so he carefully explained everything from one little detail to another.

Eleanor nodded and fished out her phone to make a phone call. "If we need brains then Hudson is not enough. I have someone in mind, I just hope he helps," she said.

Eleanor went out of the veranda to make some calls when the alarm suddenly echoed around the room.

Hudson and I ran to the control room and looked at the monitors. So, it has come to this huh?

After a few days of waiting, there are now men approaching that house.

"Hey, zoom in a little and focus on that camera," I said and pointed to the screen on the left.

Hudson zoomed it in and when the image became clearer my forehead creased.

"Turn on the speakers, let's hear what they are talking about,"

Hudson twisted and turned some buttons and we can now hear their conversation.

"The house is hella dark, are you sure this is the right place?"

"Yeah, this is where the tracker leads us,"

Tracker huh? Is it that thing Isaac put in me when there's danger?

They entered the house and after a minute someone yelled, "No one's here! She's gone! Contact headquarters!"

"Damn it! The boss will kill us,"

"Who are those shits?" Eleanor suddenly asked behind me.

"Oh, perfect time. Could you fetch me those idiots?" I said and grinned.

Eleanor chuckled and smiled devilishly after licking her dagger, "You got it," she said and disappeared immediately without making a noise.

And then we just saw those men on the screen fall on the ground. Eleanor looked at the camera, stuck her tongue out and raised her middle finger before carrying those men out of the camera's radar.

She hasn't changed one bit.

Anyway, she said she had a basement in her house so we put those men there.

When they woke up we started interrogating them.

"Who sent you?"

"Lady Kamila?! Why are you here?!"

Lady Kamila? Are they one of my brother's men?

"Did my brothers send you?"

They nodded their heads frantically but colors drained out of their faces when my smile disappeared.

"Don't lie to me," I spat out.

Their mouths trembled with fear and eventually told us something juicy, "Sir Bullet asked us to check on you, he even left the phone in my right pocket for you to contact him afterward," he said almost crying.

Hudson looked into his pocket and indeed found a phone. He immediately ran a few background checks before confirming that it really was from Isaac.

" Did he say anything else? " I asked.

"H-He said to report your every move. We ought to stay with you for the time being to aid you,"

Aide me huh? So, he's planning on confining me in that house longer than expected. What is he up to that he needs to throw me to such a place?

"I'll release you two on one condition,"

"Y-Yes ma'am! We head your orders!" they yelled with their eyes closed. They must really treasure their life so bad.

"Stay loyal to me and do whatever I say from now on and I'll spare your life. But the moment you betray me then you lose your head," I said and motioned my hands on my neck.

They gulped and accepted my demands.

I left their management to Hudson they are mostly going to stay inside the control room.

"Don't forget to update me if Isaac calls," I reminded them before going up to my room only to see Eleanor who just finished with her calls.

"You're going to thank me later, he just agreed and is on his way here right now!"

"Who is?"

"You'll see," and then the sound of a jet suddenly echoed outside, "Ph, he's here. That was fast," Eleanor said and jumped out of the window to greet that friend of hers.

I got curious so I followed her. I was walking with my hands in my pocket when I saw two figures up ahead.

I thought that was the man Eleanor was talking about I saw them on the other side of the street, so who are they?

I adjusted my vision and was shocked to see Isaac and Logan approaching straight here. I can't get caught!

I signaled Eleanor and told her the plan I had in mind. She nodded and walked straight to Isaac and Logan along with that man with her.

Meanwhile, I hid in a nearby tree and observed...

"Hi! We saw you just arrived at our neighborhood! Are you guys new?" Eleanor said.

"I'm Zack and this is my wife Eli," so his name is Zack huh?

"Oh, we just came to visit. But may I ask, that house over there looks like no one's home. Have you seen this woman?" Logan said.

So, they really did find out already. I looked at Isaac to see his reaction but I almost fell when I met his eyes.
