Chapter 77 Seventy Seven
Chapter 77 Seventy Seven
IVY POV
He stopped, his hand still on my thigh. “I want to fuck that pussy and make you scream.. Tell me you don't want that.”
My breath caught.
I opened my mouth to answer… but nothing came out.
I couldn’t lie. Not to him. Not in a moment like this.
But I also couldn’t say yes.
The air between us felt heavy, tight—full of everything we hadn’t said, everything we were still trying to pretend wasn’t there.
I swallowed hard, my chest rising and falling too fast, caught between wanting him and knowing I shouldn’t.
I stayed frozen for a second, my heart pounding so loud I was sure he could hear it.
Ronan didn’t move away. He just watched me, waiting, like he already knew the answer I couldn’t say out loud.
“Ivy,” he said again, softer this time, less teasing. More serious.
My throat tightened. I forced myself to look at him properly.
“This is…” I started, then stopped, shaking my head. “This is too much.”
His fingers eased slightly on my thigh, but he didn’t let go.
“Too much?” he repeated quietly.
I nodded once, even though my body didn’t agree with me.
I leaned back in my seat a little, trying to create space between us. Trying to think clearly.
“You said just a movie,” I muttered, voice unsteady. “That’s it. Nothing else.”
A small, humorless smile tugged at his lips.
“Its not my fault when you look so sexy as fuck,” he said. A smile tug on his face
I smiled..
I turned my head away trying to distract myself, staring at the dark screen, but I wasn’t seeing anything anymore. My thoughts were messy, tangled. Him. Us.
“I shouldn’t be here,” I whispered.
Ronan didn’t answer right away.
Then he slowly leaned back too, his hand finally leaving my thigh. The loss of his touch made my skin feel cold.
For a moment, neither of us spoke. Just the sound of the movie playing quietly in the background, like it belonged to another world.
Then he exhaled.
“Okay,” he said simply.
I looked at him.
He wasn’t smiling now.
“But don’t lie to yourself, Ivy,” he said again, voice low. “You feel this too. We had sex once and you’re already backing away.”
My chest tightened.
I didn’t answer.
Because if I did… I wasn’t sure I’d be able to stop what came next.
“You said you wanted something casual,” he added, leaning in slightly again. “So why are you overthinking it now?”
I looked at him properly this time, my voice quieter but steady.
“For me,” I said slowly, “it’s not something I can just do once and walk away from.”
I paused, swallowing hard.
I blinked at him, my breath catching.
“So you want to do this… here in the theatre?” I asked, barely above a whisper, glancing around the empty rows like reality was finally hitting me.
His eyes didn’t leave mine.
“Yes,” he said simply.
My heart jumped hard in my chest.
I shook my head a little, trying to steady myself. “Ronan… this is insane.”
He leaned back just enough to look at me properly, his expression calm but intense.
“There's nobody here honey,” he reminded me quietly. “It's just us”
My throat tightened again.
“Sex is not a way to get out of the fact that you ghosted me,” I said, softer now.
“I’m not trying to get out of anything,” he replied.
That made me stop.
He reached for my hand again, slower this time, giving me a choice instead of forcing it. His thumb brushed over my skin gently.
“I just want you,” he said. “That’s it.”
The honesty in his voice made my chest ache.
I should’ve said no.
I should’ve stood up and walked away.
But I didn’t move.
And the silence between us felt like the moment right before a storm breaks.
His hand moved slowly, cautiously, as if he was still giving me time to stop him. It slid up from mine to my waist, then higher, find my boobs and squeezed so hard.
My breath hitched instantly.
A soft moan escaped me before I could stop it, and I hated how quickly my body reacted to him.
Ronan watched me closely, like he was memorizing every response.
“Admit it you want this too?” he asked quietly.
I swallowed hard, forcing myself to nod even though my thoughts were scattered, my heartbeat uneven.
“I… you're an asshole,” I whispered, but I didn’t move away.
His thumb brushed lightly along my thigh, grounding and dangerous all at once.
“Whatever you say ,” he murmured, leaning in a little closer. “But this asshole wants you.”
His eyes stayed on mine for a second longer, like he was waiting for me to change my mind.
I didn’t.
That was all he needed.
Ronan pulled me in and kissed me… hard, immediate, like he’d been holding it back for too long. It wasn’t gentle. It wasn’t careful. It was full of everything we hadn’t said, everything we were still pretending didn’t exist.
My breath broke instantly.
I should’ve pushed him away.
I didn’t.
My hands found his shirt instead, gripping it like I needed something to hold onto, my body reacting before my thoughts could catch up.
He kissed me deeper, slowing just enough to make my head spin, then tightening again when I responded.
When he finally pulled back slightly, his forehead rested against mine, both of us breathing unevenly.
“Still think this is a bad idea?” he murmured.
I closed my eyes for a second, trying to steady myself.
But my voice came out barely above a whisper.
“…Yes,” I said.
A pause.
Then softer, more honest.. “But I don’t want you to stop.”
