Epilogue-1
Closing the book with a sigh, Sanyukta look at the watch hanging on the wall in front of her. Any minute and Randhir will be here. Last time when she called him, which was an hour back, he was half the way through the journey. By the speed he drives Sanyukta knew it was matter of time and he will be here. She kept the book on the table and got up to check all the arrangements she had made to give him a surprise. It was always Randhir giving her surprises so for a change Sanyukta thought to give him one this time. After checking all the arrangements and doing last minute changes Sanyukta was pretty confident that Randhir will like her surprise. And if by any chance he will not like the arrangement, there is no doubt that he will be enthralled by the news. Sanyukta smiled to herself. "Come soon Randhir." Sanyukta murmured to herself. Standing by the shore she hugged herself as cool breeze hit her warm skin making her shiver a bit. This place never fails to amaze her. She still remember the first time Randhir brought her here for their honeymoon. The memory still make her blush. Five years, it had been five years still she can never have enough of this place. It has too many memories to get bored of. This place was their escape. With all the things going in their lives this place always bring them peace. They had been to many places both in India and abroad but nothing feels like this. Peaceful and calmness. Whenever they have to spend some time together away from everyone, this the place they come to. A home away from home. A horn from the driveway broke her trance indicating Randhir was here. "Hope you like your surprise." She smiled to herself, rubbing her palms together to radiate some warmth. -------------------------------------------- Parking the car on the driveway, Randhir hurriedly got out from the car to meet Sanyukta. It has been a week since they last saw each other. Video calls and Skype doesn't count. At the beginning of the week Randhir had a very important meeting with a client in Delhi making him to leave for Delhi. Since Sanyukta was part of the company too and has responsibilities of her own, Randhir cannot take her everywhere with him like before. He hate it. With Randhir, Sanyukta and Parth looking after the company Harsh decided to retire from the work, making Randhir more busier than before. With time Randhir has learnt that being CEO of a reputed company is not easy. The day he was to return back to Mumbai the very same day Sanyukta has to leave for Pune with Vidhushi. Vidhushi had to check all the arrangements for next weekend when her first fashion show will take place, leaving no time for Randhir and Sanyukta to meet entire week. The whole week was not less than a torture for Randhir. Not being able yo touch or see Sanyukta whenever desire was plain pain. So here he was now after entire week to see his beloved. As planned earlier Sanyukta came here directly from Pune as for Randhir he is driving all the way from Mumbai. ------------------------------------------- Walking towards the front door, he knew exactly where to find his princess. Library. That was her favourite place since built. The room which was once filled with Sanyukta's image was converted into a library on her request. What she want she'll get and building library was one of the little things he was willing to do for her. "You have me now Randhir, you don't need this room." He remember her saying. This was her house no matter how much she deny it but the fact remains the same. She can do anything with this place and Randhir will least be bother about it. She want to throw all the old furniture and decorate it with new. She can. She want to paint this place in some weird color. Go for it. In the end what mattered the most for Randhir was spending some time with Sanyukta. Thankfully Sanyukta did redecorated this house years back but that only added to the beauty of the place. She gave if a feminine touch and made it more cozy and homey. Making it look more like a home rather than just a place to stay for vacation. While Randhir was about to turn the knob, his gaze landed on the white envelope which was kept on the threshold, little red hearts covering the entire envelope. He picked up the envelope to see the name of the person who kept it or to whom it addressed but there was nothing except cute little hearts and a line. 'Open it with love.' The line made Randhir both intrigued and angry at the same time. Clenching his fist Randhir opened the envelope quickly but carefully to know what was inside it. If this was some kind of prank or anything that could harm Sanyukta the person will pay for it. The possessive husband inside Randhir growled. To Randhir surprise there was a photo and a letter inside the envelope. It was photo of Sanyukta and him on their wedding day. They were both sitting on the mandap. Sanyukta was looking in front of her, her face devoid of any any emotion whereas Randhir was looking at her with utmost love he had for her. Frowning and still confused Randhir unfolded the letter. May be it will make some sense. 'Yes I was unhappy that day but little did I knew the person I thought was reason for all pain will be reason I breath. To think a day without you is impossible. PS- I love you PSS- I got something for you next letter is on table in living room. ;) After reading the letter everything made sense to Randhir. All this was planned by Sanyukta. The reason she isn't here in front of him by now. Or else he knew the moment he blew the horn Sanyukta will come out to hug him in minutes. Little did he knew his wife has other plans. Smiling Randhir put the picture and letter back in the envelope before walking towards the living room. As he entered he eyes quickly landed on the another white envelope with similar little red hearts all over it. He shook his head, the smile not leaving his face. Picking up the envelope he opened it carefully just to find another picture and a letter. It was a picture of both of them kissing. It was their first kiss. His hands were firmly cupping her cheeks and her hands tightly fisted around his collar as both of their eyes were closed and they were kissing each other we no worry about anyone. Which was true. He chuckled. The main question was from where she got this picture. 'You must be wondering how I got this picture but that is the question to be answered later. Bangalore <3 That trip was a fresh start for our marriage and I'm so glad for being a nosy wife to hear about this trip and persistent enough to come along with you. PS- I love you PSS- Parth gave me this picture, he got it from CCTV footage. Embarrassing? Ask me. Next letter is in the kitchen.
