Chapter 54 I Just Hate Her
LILIAN POV:
THE NEXT DAY
I felt something nudge me and I shrugged it off in a low whisper, “ sto op!!”
But the thing persisted and pushed me again, “ Wake up Lilian we are on the roll call today”
I grumble opened my eyes and saw Lucy as dressed up and groomed for the morning and I blinked the remaining sleep out of my eyes, “ What !”
She gritted her teeth at me, “ I. said. Wake the fuck up we're on roll call today”
I yawned and made to ignore her but then I turned back to her with a raised brow, “ And I'm magically meant to know the meaning of that right..?”
She shrugged then walked back to her bed and sat down, “ well I don't know, but you got to get ready already if you don't want to hate yourself.”
I did a once over at her and saw the clothes she out on, “ Is that why you're dressed up like that”
She didn't say a word to me, just shoot me a glare and I raised my hands up in surrender, “ okay fine give me a five minutes I would be fast yeah”
I took the clothing I think would be cool enough for whatever shit it is that we are about to go for and walked into what I presume to be the bathroom.
I took a quick shower and groomed myself up real quick and came out to see David already sitting adjacent to Lucy bed and I heard both of them discussing.
I smiled at David and muttered an audible, “ Good morning David”
He waved back at me, “ Morning Lilian, what's up”
“ I'm good”
He nodded then said, “ You got to be fast though we're..” he looked at his wrist watch and looked back up, “ we're two minutes late yeah”
I heard Lucy scoff beside me, “ I'm sure Rebecca is so.. going to love this”
David immediately snapped his hands on the sir like he just remembered something, “ Did our little birdie over their tell you that she meet her yesterday” he said nodding my way.
Lucy snickered and said, “ yeah she said something like that .. hope she didn't cut your head off when you went back ‘cause you didn't come for dinner.”
David shook his head, and since I was done I told them and David being the little vampire gentleman opened the door for us to pass through.
While we muttered a little “thank you” and started walking down the hall, “ You know I don't get why you guys put on with her habit I felt like killing her yesterday I swear”
David shrugged, “ she runs most of the dirty works for the elders so she gets free pass each time she tortuous an inmate in the name of pleasantries”
Lucy nodded to affirm what he said, I was about to say something back before David pushed open a door and every single living vampire in there kept quiet when they heard the swirk of the door.
Lucy nudged me to continue walking, my knees were really shaking badly, they are all kids my age but looked more matured than me and when we walked up to the seats on the podium we sat down and I breathed out the air I have been holding in.
I heard Lucy Snicker behind me, “you're actually lucky I woke you up, you could have walked in here yourself.. that's if you do walk in though”
“ Man there eyes gave me chills !!.”
David smirked and said, “ that's more like it little human”
I shot him a glare, “ don't even …”
My words were interrupted by two loud claps and the hall went silent immediately.
I looked forward to see who did it and I saw the person I most dreaded since I came in here, “Rebecca!!”.
I raised a brow in surprise, “ I thought it's the elders that conduct this shit”
David looked back at me and said, “ I told you that she runs all the dirty jobs for the elders and this is one of them”
Rebecca cleared her throat, “ Well I think it's high time we get down to business, we aren't her for little chit-chat” then she looked to my direction and I think I swallowed a fucking air.
“Are we ?” The inmates shook their heads, she smiled then walked up properly up the podium and cleared her throat.
“Before we go on with what we have for today, I'd love to call out the newbie's here to come up the podium and introduce themselves”
My hands started shaking and I held onto it when I saw her lift up a book and a pen like she was calling attendance.
“ why don't they just Introduce themselves from their seat walked up the podium is a little extreme” A voice said from the back and I think all neck turned but Rebecca remained unfazed.
I raised a brow at her non - chalantness, well that's a first.
She looked up and I think she shot daggers to the person before she said, “ I'm calling attendance and I'd love everyone to keep their lips shut”
She watched her lips move and she called the first newbie, “ ROSE!!”
I watched the girl shakily walk up the stage introduce herself and walk back with pure fright written all over her, how the hell is this fun to her.
It went on and on like that for like thirty minutes before David nudged me and asked, “ Are you okay, You know you can….”
I raised my hand to stop him from rambling, “ No it's okay, I'm fine just a little bit scared here, how the fuck is this fun to her though”
David shrugged, “ I don't know, you should ask a sadist though”
I breathed out and ran my hands through my hair, before I heard Lucy breath out and I turned to her, “ What's wrong?”
“ I think your name is next, do you want us to sto..” I touched her shoulder to calm my nerves not her’s actually down.
“ It's fine, I can manage”
And not thirty minutes after she said that I heard just what I dreaded the most from Rebecca's mouth, “ LILIAN!!”
My heart entered my stomach and I felt this urge to puck, I shakily stood up from my chair.
Girl if I survive this walk…well I don't really think so!?.
