EPILOGUE

***Five Years Later.***

"Have you seen the papers?"

She waddled towards a sleeping Nicholas on the bed and sat down heavily on the bed, shaking him awake. He didn't move a muscle.

"Nicholas Cole!" He gave a loud grunt and went right back to sleep.

"I know just how to wake you up this instant."

Some minutes later, she was back in their bedroom with a pair of dark haired cute little three year olds, holding onto her hands on either side.

They soon broke free and rushed towards a sleeping Nicholas, gurgling and shouting 'daddy' excitedly.

The more mischievous of the two, Ryan went straight for his eyes when he wasn't giving the attention they needed. He pried his eyelids open, giggling excitedly when their father sprang from the bed and pinned them both under him, tickling them.

Nadine watched the scene before her, her hand going to her protruding belly.

She was due anytime soon with baby number four.

Her heart sang and danced with so much joy as she watched her husband of over five years play with their twin sons.

It was a sight she was never going to grow tired of seeing and she couldn't wait to welcome another child into their growing family.

"What's going on here?," Nichole asked from the doorway, still in her pyjamas.

"What does it look like? The males in the house are fighting for dominance." They watched as Ethan, the other twin, tried to hit a pillow on his father's head.

"Why do I get left out of all the fun?"

She raced for the bed and joined in the pillow fight and tickling. If she wasn't heavily pregnant and due at any moment, she would be on the bed, she and Nichole against the guys.

She was freaking fat and the press had observed and not failed to write about that.

Although they stayed in Folks for most part of the year, that didn't mean their lives were free from the public eyes.

Sometimes, one or two reporters still visited town to take pictures of them. The one published in the paper was three days before, when she had been in the park with Nicholas and the kids.

And the picture was unflattering. She had been tired after trying in vain to help Nicholas deal with their bubbling balls of energy, Ethan and Ryan.

She had been sitting on the grass when the picture was taken. She had looked so fat and puffy she couldn't bear to look at it again and the headline read: BILLIONAIRE NICHOLAS COLE MOVING TOO FAST FOR WIFE TO LOSE THE EXTRA POUNDS.

She had seen red when she saw the headline. Why they couldn't leave her family alone, she had no idea.

She moved to seat on the sofa, waiting patiently for the pillow fight to end and it was going to take a few minutes more.

Nicholas finally bath and she fed the twins. Watching him do the little things like that made her love him more.

It was so different from the times she had seen him all suited up and serious in a board meetings, the scene served to remind her just how powerful a man he was, despite the simple man he was in their marriage.

"That was a dirty trick this morning, you should stop doing that." He moved to wrap his arms around her in the closet, where she was trying to pull a gown over her head but he stopped her.

"You do that too."

After the news that morning, she didn't want to be in just her under wears when she told him about it. He dropped little kisses on her neck and collarbone.

"Have I told you this morning how much I love you Mrs Cole?"

She smiled, bending her neck to give him better access and giving up on the gown. "No."

"I love you Nadine Cole," he said in between kisses, rubbing her bump gently. "And I can't wait for our little girl to join the gang."

She giggled. "I hope she's nothing like those little hellions or we are going to be in so much trouble."

"I'm more than ready for all the troubles, trust me."

"I do too. Have you seen the papers this morning?"

"What about it?" He was really not interested. All he cared about right then was the perfect curve of her lips as he turned her to him for a kiss.

Her baby bump wasn't making it an easy feat to hold all of her against him.

"Something was published about me and my picture was taken and I didn't like that," she said all at once to get his attention.

"Don't concern yourself with..,"

"But I'm." She moved away from him to get the offending material. He saw the headline and cursed savagely.

"I know I'm fat and ugly and...," she stopped, feeling so close to tears.

"Hey honey. Don't say that. You are pregnant with my baby. You look beautiful and you are glowing with health. And you know I'll die for your curves. Knowing our baby is in there makes you all the more sexier and it's taking all my self control not to bend you over the vanity and have my way with you."

"Nick!" She was blushing like a new bride but she loved it when he talked dirty.

"It's the truth honey. I don't like to see you cry. I'm going to do something about those who had anything to do with publishing this article, trust me."

She gave him a watery smile. "No you don't. All I really care about is what you think." She moved into his waiting arms, and he wrapped his arms around her.

"One thing was right about the article tho, I can't seem to be able to make myself go slow with you."

She giggled helplessly. "I love you Nick."

............

Three days later, Evelyn Madeleine Cole, named after his grandmother joined the family, wailing at the top of her lungs as she came into the world as if she already knew the barrage of troubles awaiting her from her hyperactive brothers.

Nadine watched as all their children crowded around Nicholas holding the baby in her room.

"Why does she look funny?," Ryan asked curiously, staring intently at the red and wrinkly baby. He touched a finger to her face and a startled Evelyn started wailing.

He shrunk back in shock, watching as her mouth opened wide, crying. He looked like he was about to start wailing too.

"Hey honey, come here," she said patting the bed beside her. The twins moved to sit with her.

"You once were like that. Your sister was in here for a long time," she patted her belly. "Her skin needs time to look like your own."

"Can I hold her?" Ethan asked, bouncing off the bed and moving to a still enraptured Nicholas.

He couldn't stop staring at the bundle of joy in his arms and he had not given her up to be held by even Nadine since she came into the world.

She was able to hold the baby for few seconds after she was born and put in her arms by the nurse. After that, she was snatched away by her father.

He loved her, just as much as he loved her other siblings but this was his own little Nadine. The baby had wisps of her red hair already. He was going to love her forever.

"You can't hold her Ethan. You might drop her. She looks too fragile," Nichole answered him, her eyes shining with love as she gazed at her new sibling in her father's arms. She was joyous, having another sibling to love.

"You are my super woman." Nicholas whispered to his tired wife when the room was empty except for them. He took her hand in his and dropped kisses on her knuckles.

"I love you Nick," she said with her love shimmering in her eyes.

"I love you and you've me forever Nana."
