Chapter 108:

Chapter 110:
Ambrosia POV:

I was torn between torture or giving everyone the fight they’ve been really waiting for. I took a few steps back and twirled my siphon. Taking in his appearance and his stance. He was guarded as he should be. His eyes were gaging me trying to figure out what I was going to do, if I was going to make the first move. As I put the space between us and circled him I couldn’t see any weak spots at first. I looked at his weapon of choice, It was a spiked ball that was held on to a stick by a chain. I thought that was an interesting choice but when I took a closer look it seemed as if his blood was on the spikes. “It is his blood that holds power.” Pythias voice rang out in my head. I wasn’t really sure what she meant. “His blood can poison you if it gets into a wound. Don’t let that happen.” Pythia added sternly.

So that is what her mother did. All he has to do is hit me with that and I could be in more danger than I first realized. “Are you going to keep circling me?” Hervoux asked. I had to admit, he was a lot braver now than he was earlier. I tilted my head and smiled before lowering the end of my siphon to the ground. I felt the wave of electricity flow through me slightly and I watched as his eyes rolled to the back of his head. His body jerked in different ways before he finally let loose of his weapon and fell to the ground. “I’ll take this.” I muttered. I bent down and grabbed it off the ground before throwing it as hard as I could into the wall sinking it all the way in. I heard a clanking noise behind me and I turned to see two double edge swords were thrown in. “Get up and get your weapons.” I muttered, kicking him hard in the stomach, sending him closer to his swords.

I watched as he crawled over and finally picked one up. It didn’t appear that he had any fight in him at all and that was disappointing. Maybe he just needed a little shove. As I walked towards him my steps became faster and the hatred I’ve felt festering was starting to show. Just as I got within arms reach he swung his sword out that I barely missed and jumped to his feet. He charged at me but I was more than ready. As he pulled his arms back I pulled mine and our swords met in the middle with a loud bang. The sounds of the metal scraping against each other was like nails on a chalkboard but I didn’t mind it. He used whatever force he had to shove me back and when I looked back at him he now had both swords in his hand with a sickly grin on his face.Maybe he wanted to try to live after all but one thing I needed to be mindful of what his blood could not touch an open wound.

He launched himself at me with both swords raised in the air, I raised my siphon to block them both, I kicked my foot at him, kicking him in the stomach and sent him backwards. He was quick to get back to his feet and while he ran at me I planted my feet fully ready for what he was going to do.

He pulled a sword to the side and I raised my siphon and just when he got within reaching distance I slung my siphon out and stabbed him in his shoulder. The force of him running made sure it sank all the way through. I placed both hands on the handle and with the strength I knew I had I lifted him in the air and threw him into the wall. It cracked around his body, I could hear people cheering and shouting as I stalked towards him. He shook his head and looked up at me, he was angry but I could smell the fear rolling off of him in waves. I finally reached him, he didn’t bother trying to stand to his feet. This time when he looked at me he was smiling. “It’s a trap!” Jasper screamed.

I looked up to see Athea was gone and everyone was in chaos. “What have you done?!” I yelled. Hervoux was laughing, literally laughing. “Guess you are about to find out.” Hervoux smirked and I wasted no time sinking the blade of my siphon between  his eyes. I yanked it out and turned to run but Sage was already waiting on me. “What is going on?” I questioned. “They are here. We are under attack.” Sage growled. “How did this happen?! They were a few days out!” I yelled. “My mother hid the witches. They are here and the others are right behind them.” Pythia answered. “Let’s get it to then.” I snapped, Angry that I wasn’t allow the vengeance I wanted but I guess killing all of them would help a little bit at least. Together we ran back down the tunnel and everyone was waiting for us.

“Xavier, you know what to do. Get your team and get at it.” I said. He nodded once and took off running with the other guardians.

“I’ve already told the wolves what to do and the witches are already fighting. We need to go now.” Alley yelled. I felt Pythia grab on to me and when I blinked we were standing in the middle of chaos. Bombs were sounding off everywhere. “I’ll find my mother. If anyone sees her before me leave her to me. She is mine to deal with.” Pythia snapped. I ran forward grabbing the first witch I could and wasted no time snapping her neck. I could hear rumbling behind me and I knew it was all of our wolves running to us. Growls echoed out, I raised my siphon and slammed it into the ground shoving out as much electricity as I possibly could. Witches around me started convulsing before their bodies exploded.

“Ambrosia! The guardians have come in contact with the other wolves. They need help.” Jackson yelled through the mind link.

“Sage, Delilah with me!” I yelled as I started running for the opening. I looked over to see Pythias mother casually walking in the midst of everything.

“Pythia, your mother is here. Next to the guest house walking your way.” I said. I didn’t need her to respond to know she was already on her way to her. With as much anger as she had it wouldn’t shock me if she was already there and as much as I wanted to see that show down my people needed my help. I came to the top of the hill to see my guardians in a fierce fight. Sage and Delilah barreled by me running into anything they could. I used my siphon to create blockades to give the guardians some time to gather themselves. It wasn’t long before the other wolves reached us and now I was watching them all fight. This was not how this was supposed to go.

I concentrated my thoughts, digging my siphon into the ground and with everything I had I started pulling roots up from the ground, grabbing and stabbing whatever I could to slow them down. At first I wasn’t sure if it was working until I noticed we were starting to get the upper hand. I was so concentrated on what I was doing that I didn’t realize a wolf was running straight at me. I went to run when Sage collided with the beast from the side. Both of them hit the ground and rolled but Sage was faster. She latched onto his back leg and shook her head like a mad wolf. She pounced on any opening that she could and when she latched onto his neck I knew it was over. We just needed to end it with the wolves before we went back. We could not let these beasts get by us at all..
