Chapter 35
Chapter 35
Dera
The training had to come to an end eventually and I went straight to my bedroom. My heart was beating really fast as I slowly raised my hand and placed it against my chest to feel its intensity. It felt like I had done a marathon and was still trying to recover from what I had done making me feel really worried. As I got inside, I pulped on the bed with my face up as I started thinking of the moment I had just shared with him all in the name of training. Well, it was actually great but I wanted to learn it. I had been really bad at it and it was little wonder he had not lashed out at me for wasting his precious time. I mean, I would definitely do that to myself.
Suddenly, there was a knock on my door and I sat up. I wanted to ask who it was but I thought that I should practice what he had taught me and I started sniffing the air. There was actually nothing that I could make as my heart was hoping that he was the one while my nose was finding it really hard to focus. The person then knocked again and I went to check when I saw the maid standing there. I was actually disappointed to see her but I still listened. Not like I would be able to send her away or command her at all.
"My lady, the Alpha, says that you should stay inside. There is a visitor currently and he does not want them to know that you're here." She said to me,
"Thank you." I responded and then closed my door.
I was beginning to panic as I started hyperventilating. My entire mind was wondering who it was and what they wanted. I thought that it actually might be Isaac but he would have caught my scent and yelled at me. I did not know and at some point, I started pacing my room, sweating profusely like I had just been drenched in the rain. My window was positioned in such a way that it was overlooking the gardens which means that I most certainly cannot see the vehicle. So here I was in an actual panic mode, pacing around crazily in my room like there was something about to go wrong with me extremely.
I got tired of pacing and then laid with my back as I was watching the ceiling. A wave of fear washed over me and when I looked above me, there was my phone making me wonder if I should actually go get it and make that call. I was still the daughter of my father and certainly, I would not be killed by my husband. Isaac would at the most punish me but at least, I would not get anyone in trouble.
'Dera, don't do it. You are overreacting and whoever he is with does not necessarily mean they are here to get you. Just relax and try focusing on other things.' Tia said to me.
Easy for you to say. You're not me. Hell, you're almost like a figment of my imagination and I can take you as a voice speaking in my head.' I responded to her and I instantly regretted saying those words to her. She was definitely not that bad of a wolf or guardian that I had to do that to her.
'You are wrong, Dera. Whatever involves you is totally part of me. You are my existence and hearing you say that I am just a figment of your imagination makes me feel really bad. We've been through a lot, you and I.' She said to me.
And she was right. The both of us had been through so much together that I was not considering us just wolf and owner anymore. She was this part of my entire existence that I could not even deny and I felt apologetic over what I had said. Tia totally understood and asked that I calm my nerves down as she was going to be with me.
It was all thanks to her that I had eventually calmed down everything that I had been feeling as I laid down. We had decided to wait and see what this visitor had come for and if it had anything to do with me. The wait was the longest that I have found myself as anticipation seemed to stretch the time out before me. In a short time, I got tired again as I started pacing around when my door opened and a maid brought me a bowl of fruits. I took it gratefully and she asked me if I needed anything. Well, I definitely did as I asked her if the Alpha was done.
I was told his visitor was still very much around but they had been instructed to check in on me at intervals to know if I needed anything. I responded that I was okay and then sat down to start eating. As I ate, I found the novel that I had been reading the previous day and started from where I had stopped. I was really tempted to go off to the page he had folded but restrained myself. I was going to get there in due time.
Soon enough, I lost interest again as I thought about him, finding the drawing he had made for me. It was really beautiful and I started wondering what it would have felt like if I had been posing for him totally naked. Who knows, it just might have taken us overboard with romance. I had to control myself now.
What was I thinking? No matter my fantasies, nothing would ever happen between Alpha Eric and I. He was always going to be the one I had a crush on.
It took some time but then, I was just seated and had my phone in hand while thinking when the door opened and he walked in. He looked at me at first with happiness and then he saw the phone. His eyes felt like a little child bidding their favourite parent goodbye.
"Dera, don't do it, please. We need to be here. I need you here." He said to me suddenly and I looked at what was in my hand and smiled.
"No. It's not on at all. I was only holding it. Is your visitor gone?" I asked him.
"Yes. He left. It's my Beta and we had business to discuss but I don't want to announce your presence so soon until I am certain." He said and then came to sit down on the bed beside me.
Alright buddy, that was definitely a dangerous move he had just pulled and I was thinking of a way to tell him. I thought of everything to say but it was too late. The smell of honey and cinnamon was far too great for me to ignore and all I wanted was for the man to hold me. I turned now to look his way and I found that he was gazing on me intently all along. Now, I was actually uncomfortable but not in a bad way, trust me.
I rose up and his eyes followed me as I started to walk away from the bed when he held me by hand. I turned now and looked at him.
"Dera, you have no idea what is happening to me each time that I am close to you. I can't help myself." He said to me,
I mean, that should be a good thing, right? Or was I being silly?
"Do you want me to go away? I mean, if my presence is creating issues for you." I responded innocently and he chuckled.
"No, girl. Not that at all. On the contrary, I want you beside me always. I cannot stay without you." He responded as he pulled me in as I came to sit down on his lap, my eyes full of shock and amazement but my insides were already fired up from desire. I had been holding it inside since when we had been training in the garden. If there was a time that I should get an award, it should be now.
He did not hesitate as he started leaning in and kissed me on the lips. I found a good position and started returning his kisses. In a short moment, he had me straddling his waist as he started taking off her shirt. He kissed me from the lips to my neck and then down the line of my stomach and I groaned. It sent lots of bolts down my spine. I wanted him to take my bra off at this point because I was losing it when suddenly, he stopped.
I had to look at him with confusion obviously. I thought we had been having a good time. He suddenly rose up with me still around his waist as he placed me on the bed before rising.
"Is something wrong?" I asked him and I felt really sad.
"No. Nothing is wrong, Dera. I think I'm going through something and it's really messing with my head. I don't want to have you caught up in the middle. I'll go now but you can come out if you want." He said to me,
"Wait..." I was saying but he was already out of my bedroom.
