"If that's the case, I will leave the both of you to sort this out; it's none of my business since he hasn't submitted that request to my table." Alpha Nathan said, and Mia nodded in support.

"Don't worry, I can handle this, Mis assured, and Alpha Nathan went out of the room.

"Mia, is this really who you are? You just lied against me. How could you say such a big lie?" He asked with his eyes brimming with venom.

"You tried exposing me. I think next time you will learn to keep quiet. You should have known that he cares so much about me." A sinister grin played on the corner of her lips as her lips clashed with each other as she chuckled wryly.

"You are unbelievable. You are lucky to be my sister. If not, you will have regretted everything you said. I am done with this talk. Find someone who can do your job for you; I am not interested." He glared dangerously at her before going out of her room.

"Darn! What has she fed my brother with? My brother just chose her over me. The Ryan I know will fight for me in every situation, but today he's so different." She lamented and sat on the sofa angrily. So confused about what to do next. Alpha Nathan came back into her room and saw that she was so angry.

"I saw him going out angrily; I guess you guys didn't get to a conclusion. What's his reason for taking such a decision? I guess he must have a reason." Alpha Nathan demanded without sitting. Mia hummed and cleared her throat.

"Ugh, he said he wanted to go back to the human world for some uncompleted job and again to see his girlfriend, who had refused to come to the pack because she had stayed in the human world for years." She lied, and Alpha Nathan has doubt if that was true.

"Are you sure of this? Because the last time we spoke, he told me he was done with the human world. He said he wasn't feeling the vibe and all that. So why the sudden change of mind? he asked, and she scoffed. It seems like they talked about it.

"But that's what he told me; I guess he's lying Because of his so-called girlfriend. If she didn't want to come to the peck, there are many wolves here in this pack. He can just choose one for himself" Mis said deceitfully.

"You know, we aren't the ones who choose our mate; we can only do that if we get rejected. Maybe he just needed time to think. And about going to see his mate, I don't have a problem. But he can only do tgsr after everything seems to settle between the two packs" Alpha Nathan suggested, and she smiles.

"That's a great idea; I wish he understood." You know Ryan can be stubborn and strange. But you don't have to worry; I will speak with him. Or perhaps you can talk to him about it" Mia said, smirking evilly. She knows Alpha Nathan will surely kick against the idea of talking to him. Because he knows how stubborn he could be. But, surprising as it was, her expectations weren't met.

"I will talk to him maybe tomorrow; he should have calmed down by then. So you don't have to worry; you are going back to work tomorrow. Why don't you enjoy your weekend instead of stressing over little things?" He tried to reassure her everything would be fine, but she looked so tense and was sweating from inside.

"Are you really going to talk to him? she asked, trying not to be obvious.

"Yes, I will do that tomorrow. Let him calm down first" he replied, and she suddenly pulled him into a hug.

"Thanks so much. I really appreciate it." She pretended to be happy, but deep down she's so scared and asked herself some questions. Why would she ask him to speak with him? What if Ryan told him everything that happened? That's her fear, and she knows that her little brother is crazy; he can go ahead and say everything. If he's being scolded for something he didn't do, he didn't have any self-reservation, and his behavior is always implicit.

"Nathan, please, can I go to see my mother? I really missed her so much. I just want to spend a few hours with her" she asked. She wanted to use the opportunity to warn her brother not to dare say anything, so he prayed silently that he would vet her request.

"Why not? You can go to her. Don't forget to say hello for me, and also take a lot of gifts to her." Nathan said, and she was so happy.

"That's not necessary; it's just a quick visit. Next time, I will plan this." She said it, and he thought about it for a while.

"But you know it's not cool for you to go and visit your mom without getting her something. But since you insisted, who am I to say no?" He said, playing with her chin.

"Thanks a lot, sweetheart." She kissed his lips, and he also reconciled. He excused himself and left her to get ready. Immediately after he went out of the room, she hold her chest trying to hold her breath.

"Oh my goodness, like I was so tensed. Thanks to Mother Goddess, he didn't notice. I just couldn't believe I had to lie to him. Where's my loyalty? Maybe I just have to do this to secure my marriage. If not, that silly brother would have ruined everything for me." She murmured, praying her meeting with Ryan should go well. Maybe he has to understand to say this one lie for his sister,or else she will make him do that the hard way. She has him wrapped around her fingers. She went to change her clothes and took her handbag as she set off.

She went to check on Alpha Nathan in his room and couldn't find him there. She was so angry and decided to check Emma's room, but it retorted against the idea. So she decided to leave him a message on his phone. She walked through the hallway and bumped into Beta Kaden.

"Sorry, Mia" he said after the slight clashed when he was about to leave, she held him back

"I am sorry for the other time, after what I said to you that day. I haven't told you I was sorry. Can you forgive? Please let it pass." She apologized, and Beta Kaden smirked.

"It's not a problem; it's good you realized you have to apologize. So I guess you are forgiven" he replied with a smile.

"Thanks so much. And if I may ask, what do you think about Ryan joining your soldiers? Do you think he's good?" she asked, pretending to be concerned..

"He was much better and more passionate than I was. I never imagined he had so much passion for the job." Beta Kaden said some praise, and she smirked.

"Okay then, Thanks so much; I am heading out," She said, and they went their separate ways.

She went into the garage and got into her car. She placed her legs on the clutch and her hands on the steering wheel. She squashed her tires while driving out of the palace with her tires screeching on the road.

Getting to their house, she packed her car in the compound and alighted the car, hanging her bag on her left hand. She went toward the door and pressed the button. Soon the door was opened by their maid. And she paid her respect immediately.

"Good day, your majesty" she greeted, but she didn't get a reply; rather, she threw her a question.

"Where's Ryan?" She asked, walking toward the staircase as she followed suit.

"Inside his room, he instructed that nobody should disturb him" she said, and Mia faced her and landed a resounding slap on her face.

"Are you referring to me as nobody?" She gripped her neck, choking her while she managed to breathe.

"I am sorry, ma, I was just following his instructions; you know how Sir Ryan could be." She pleaded with tears flowing in her eyes.

"So you are scared of Ryan rather than me. Well, listen very carefully. From now on, you need to be scared of me Because I have changed. I am now a Luna, and you should respect me, understood." She Thundered angrily, her voice howling over the building. Making her mother realize she's at home She rushed into the living room.

Yes, ma" she replied, trying hard to breathe. She released her grin, and her mother got there just that minute.

"What's going on here, Mia? Why are you yelling like that?" Her mother asked.

"Mother, I guess I will stop yelling when you lecture your maids to be respectful and know how to speak when it comes to me. Moreso, where's your son?" she asked, with her harsh words.

"What's going on with you both? I called you several times, and you weren't picking up. I wanted to ask what transpired between you both. He has been angry since he came back, and you coming here without any notification shows there's something up with you both?"Her mother asked. But she didn't let her finish talking when she started walking upstairs.

"I am talking to you, Mia" she shouted after her.

"Mum, I will be right back" she replied without stopping.

She barged into Ryan's room without knocking...

"You are finally here; I heard your voice down the stairs screaming like a madwoman, so why are you here, lovely sister? To give me some warning, right?" He smirked, laughing rancorously.
