"Ryan, keep quiet, or I will teach you how to do that." She raised her hand to slap him, her eyes brimming with anger.

"Common, why do you stop? You should have known you didn't match my strength. So stop acting like you're strong and calm down your nerve" He chuckled wryly.

"I thought you used to care so much about me, but you've changed; you aren't the Ryan I used to know." She dropped her hand, clenching her fist furiously.

"So you never thought about this when you lied against me right in front of me, without feeling any remorse about it. "He glared at her hatefully.

"You know I had to do that; you almost destroyed my marriage; if I hadn't stopped you, you would have gone ahead and told him all that I said to you"she snapped at him. He gazed.

"So is that? So you actually thought I was going to say that to him? You think I am a fool and so heartless that I would want to ruin your marriage. I know how much you love and care about him. I know how much you endured with him when he was so busy with business"He thundered at her, feeling so disappointed.

"I thought you wanted to tell him what I told you. I thought you cared about Emma so much that you now want to support her" she said, not ready to accept her mistake.

"I care about you as well; I can't seem to understand why you choose to hate such a transparent heart. I confirmed her good heart the day I went to the company with Beta Kaden. She was busy boasting about you to her workers. Asking them to follow you, advertising your product to them, and yet you choose to hate her when she never felt negatively about you. If I must say so, you are despicable. In fact, you are now the shadow of yourself. I know I hate humans so much, but the fact that she's good thrilled me enough to like her. Why can't you just do the same thing and you will sure be happy? he advised, but she Shouted at him.

"Shut up, Ryan; you've said a lot. I hate the fact that everyone keeps praising her here and there like she's the only one that ever existed; she's this, she's that. I am always the bad person, right?" She thundered, and their mother rushed in.

"What's going on here? Why are you two fighting like enemies? What's wrong with the both of you?" she shouted at them.

Mother, you better warn your daughter, or else she will die of jealousy. She was jealous of Emma. That girl without any problem, that same girl that smiles to everyone and treats people with love and care" Ryan said to her, while all she do is glared at him.

"You would have understood if you were a woman and the attention you were supposed to get was being shared between two people. And the worst part of it is that they spent time together in the office. And you expect me to watch without getting jealous?" She asked, and their mother scoffed.

"If I were you, I would have just fit in with such a life. I have work to do. If you forget, your husband was supposed to meet with Prince Roger, the brother of Alpha Marcus. I need to get there to protect him in case they have an ulterior motive," He said, about to leave, but she held him back and went to his front.

"I can see you care so much about your work, so if you don't want to lose this opportunity, if he asks you any questions, just tell him that you missed your girlfriend and that you think the best thing is to go back to the human world since she refused to show up here" she said more like a threatened.

"That's a lie; my girlfriend never said such a thing. Where do you get those ideas from?" He asked; their mother wanted to come in between, but she gesticulated by throwing her hand in the air, telling her to stay out of it.

", Mother, we are adults. We can deal with this." She faced Ryan and held him by his collar.

"Your girlfriend never said such a thing, but I said that. So that's what you're going to say to him. I don't know how you're going to put it; just make sure to put it in a way that he won't think of me as a liar. I don't care if I hurt your feelings by trying to protect my marriage. It's better if you just be an obedient brother and listen to my advice; if not, you will be the one to lose in the end. I've got nothing to lose, understand." She threatened as they looked at each other eye to eye.

"You've got something to lose; that's your marriage. How does it sound when Alpha Nathan rejects you and then makes Emma Luna? Does it sound great?" He said it eerily as she smirked and burst into rancorous laughter. She moved closer to their mother and smiled softly at her.

"Mrs. Thomas, it seems like you've failed to tell him I am his senior sister. Maybe we forget that he also has a lot to lose. Maybe you've forgotten to tell him that his father didn't give him any of his property. Maybe you forgot to tell him that my father gave half of his share to me and gave the remaining half to our elder brother. Did you also forget to tell him that he got the job all because of me? Did you also forget that I can decide to ambush his so-called girlfriend by spreading out my guards?" A sinister grin played on the corner of her lips.

"So this was how you planned to make me dance to your tune, right?" He asked, his voice slowing down.
