Forty Five
After Sahara left, Lennox sighed. He doesn't want the two of them to have a conflict because of what he admitted to her and her reply that he won't like her. He is a straightforward person, what he feels is what he will say.
But it's not his fault because Sahara felt that way about him. We have all the freedom to fall for someone but that doesn't mean that it can be returned to you or reciprocated. But he also has his feelings that he needs to focus on. He doesn't know if Dionne will reciprocate his feelings, but if that happens, he and Sahara will both be unlucky in love. So it's a tie for them. He went back to what he was doing so he didn't think about what Sahara said to him. Around lunch, Kiley entered his office.
"Do you have a lot to do? Why didn't I see you go out at least today? Or are you just too lazy to hang out with us," Kiley asked.
"What's wrong? Same us usually, Kiley. We're at work," Lennox answered with a laugh.
Kiley just laughed at what he said.
"Come on. Let's eat at the canteen. My treat," Lennox told him.
"Didn't Ayesha bring you food?" Lennox asked his friend.
"That's busy. He did online schooling and then became a writer online. And I'm so impressed to know that you're their editor," Kiley answered with a smile.
"Is there anything surprising there? Of course. That was my job before I moved here to the city. But I can't let him go because editing books and handling writers is my fashion," Lennox answered with a smile.
"You're so amazing, Lennox. But you're so quiet I don't know if Ayesha didn't tell," Kiley said.
"Yeah. But to tell you frankly, your woman is so talented. They know how to make English love stories," said Lennox, who was proud of his friends' achievements.
"Yes. They are also quiet but they are earning without my knowledge. After all, we can keep them alive for a few more years, right? But they are too strategic," said Kiley.
When he looked at the time on the watch he was wearing, it was eight o'clock in the evening. He intends to say hello to Dionne and ask if she has gotten Baby Denise from Veronica.
"You go there first, Kiley. I'll just take care of something for a while," he told the man.
'Okay. Just follow," he replied and pointed at him.
"On the other hand, Dionne is already at home, she just came from Veronica's house and took her child. It's a shame for Lennox's sister if she still expects her child there. She's also busy with life so she's ashamed if even his baby he will watch over there. He is asleep again so he had a chance to write. He hasn't had a chance to buy a laptop yet because he hasn't saved any money for it yet. He was just going to send it to his mom a while ago because he had already planned to build a house for them. To finish it right away, it was good that Lennox loaned him a large amount of money that he would not have accepted, so he kept on asking, so he had no choice but to complain. When the man finished withdrawing, he immediately gave him the Even though he was embarrassed, he chose to accept because he offered willingly.
Just then he heard his phone ring. When he saw that it was Lennox who called, he immediately answered that maybe this man needed something from her.
"Why, Lennox?" Dionne asked.
"Did you get Baby Denise from Veronica's house?" it said on the other line.
"Yes. Just before you left for work," Dionne answered.
"Good. What are you doing?" asked Lennox.
"Writing an outline for my new books," Dionne answered.
"What do you use?" asked Lennox.
"I'll take down notes and put them on my cell phone and type it," he answered.
"That will make it difficult for you. You better have a laptop or personal computer for you. You choose, I will buy a laptop tomorrow because I will use it here. Do you want it too?" asked Lennox.
"Not now. I'll buy it," Dionne answered with a laugh.
He will laugh at his embarrassment. All of them participated in the obligation that he should be the one to provide, but he really couldn't do anything.
"I insist. So that you don't have to worry about writing. And don't worry you can pay me soon. I won't charge yet," Lennox answered with a laugh on the other line.
She just smiled. Lennox is such a humble person so he will take care of her until he can because he has helped so much in her life.
"Have you eaten yet? Shall I bring you some food there? I will cook what you want," she asked.
"Don't worry, Dionne. You should rest early. Kiley and I will just eat at the canteen it’s open twenty-four seven so we won't be hungry," he answered with a laugh.
"Okay. Take care. Just call me when you need anything. I'm going to hang up," Dionne answered.
"Don't leave Baby Denise alone. And don't get drunk if that doesn't suit you," he said with a laugh on the other line.
Dionne just shook her head. It reminded him of her shame.
"It's not me again. Go ahead," Dionne said.
"Okay. I love you," said Lennox.
Dionne was a little surprised by what the man said. She and Lennox were friends a few months ago but he never said such a word today. It was surprising but she preferred them to answer.
"I love you too," she answered then hung up.
Soon she was lying on the sofa while smiling and looking at the ceiling. She feels that Lennox's I love you are no longer friends, but she doesn't want to confirm it. She wants to heal the pain that Noah will leave before she faces whatever she and Lennox have. But he didn't think about Denise's father anymore since he and Lennox were together in the same house.
