Chapter 58 Merging the mafia
“Are you ready?” He asked and I smiled at him.
Tonight I intended to tell him everything, after spending the whole day with him I had nothing left to do, We spoke about a few things, and I knew that, maybe I had misjudged him, even in court, everyone is allowed to defend the evidence against them and he should be.
“I am a bit nervous.” I breathed out. “What we are about to do will make history.” I smiled and he nodded.
We are merging the mafia, it will still have its name, the Mexican and the Russian mafia, I didn’t want the name to be changed or one name for both of them.
They are two related mafia that are now together, and that now it’s going to be.
“Who is going to be there?”
“You will recognize some from your papa’s funeral and others worked for my mafia and are my allies, your guards will be there too, and because of my rules, I will need to have a second in command.”
“Papa never wanted a second in command, it always causes issues.” I breathed out.
“For your people to think all of this is fair, I need to make sure I have someone from your mafia as the second in command, maybe someone I think will be good, that's why the mafia is truly led by the Russian blood and the Mexican blood.”
“Who will be your second in command?” I asked and he smiled at me.
“You will find out.”
I had a feeling it was Manny, he is smart, he had worked for the mafia for year and papa trusted him a lot, he always made sure I am safe, he has always been there to make sure that no one hurts papa or betray him and I know that is a part of him that thinks he could have done better at protecting my father, I didn’t blame him.
It didn’t take much time when we headed out of the house, it was still snowing, and by the time we got to the other place, I had a smile on my face as we walked into the room.
“You are the authority Elara.” He said to me and I smiled at him, as I walked further into the room, it was filled with guests, anyone who sat down; instantly stood up when they saw us, they stared at us like they wanted to be us.
“What do we do next?.” I asked. “It’s a bit overwhelming that we are the stars of the party.” I breathed out when I turned around, At the end of the room, a girl was staring at me, she didn’t look happy to see me.
“Do you know who that is?” I asked when he turned to look at her, he didn’t have to say it, his eyes did.
“You slept with her didn’t you?” I asked.
“We dated for three months when I came to Russia for work, it’s a long time ago, I can have the guards take her out.”
“You invited your ex,” I asked and he shook his head.
“Someone came with her, maybe she is with one of the mafia kings, or one of the guards.” He explained. I didn’t want her to be taken out, I didn’t seem to be bothered because I am the one married to Adrian, and not her
Maybe I am not bothered
Do I like Adrian? Do I care about him in a friendly manner?
I had a feeling I did and the thought sent chills down my spine, because all I wanted to do was bang his ex’s head to be walk until she bled.

“She can- can-she is not leaving, she came here for a show and I will give her a show,” I said with a smile on my face.
It was not real, it was evil just like Papa used to do.
I glanced at Adrian when he placed his hand on mine, and my eyes were on his as I smiled at him.

The whole room was staring at us when he leaned in and he sighed the papers sealing the deal, it had to be done in the presence of everyone, so that way there would be witnesses, so that way, it would show respect for others too
“To make it fair, to make sure there is a bit of the Mexican bloodline in the mafia, I would like to make Elara my second in command.” He said and the whole room went quiet.

No woman had ever had a title in the mafia.
“Elara is as strong as her father, she is powerful and her mind is her power, the mafia is Elara’s brith right and there are no rules about not making her my second in command, she knows all of the rules her father created, she is her father daughter after all snd Elara here is going to make sure that his reign is never going to end in the mafia.” He smiled
He handed me the pen, my hands were shaky as I stared at him, I didn’t expect this, why didn’t he tell me it’s going to be me?
“Sign it Elara, you deserve every part of this.” He whispered into my ear. I wanted to be a part of this and now I am, my hand shook softly and I ignored what anyone could say to me,
I signed the papers.
