Chapter 286 The Grand Wedding (Part 2)

Augustus, gentlemanly, extended his hand and gently took Cynthia's hand.

"You look absolutely beautiful today."

He gazed tenderly at the woman he loved, as if no words of praise could adequately describe her beauty.

The photographers around them were stunned for a few seconds. They'd all seen their share of grand events and had photographed plenty of royal weddings, but today's bride was the most beautiful one they'd ever seen.

After snapping out of it, the photographers' camera shutters were clicking like crazy.

A handsome man and a beautiful woman—they were such a perfect match!

This wedding was massive in scale. The Winthrop family had reserved a garden of more than six and a half acres. Besides inviting family and friends, there were royal family members who flew in on private jets, political leaders from various countries—every single one of them was a big shot.

And it was being broadcast live, with dozens of cameras running at all times, just to capture every detail of this wedding.

Since all the guests were people of high status, the security measures were top-level. Elite mercenaries were dressed as ordinary security personnel, on standby at all times throughout the venue.

Cynthia held Augustus's arm as they stood at the entrance to greet the arriving guests.

The bridesmaids and groomsmen followed behind them. Randolph and Beatrice were inside the venue, greeting guests, while several brothers stayed by Cynthia's side.

"Cynthia!"

Sebastian arrived early. As soon as the car stopped, he couldn't wait to get out. Cynthia quickly walked over to help him. "Grandpa, take it slow."

The moment Sebastian saw Cynthia, his eyes welled up with tears. "Cynthia, you look so beautiful today. Augustus must have saved the galaxy in his past life to be able to marry you in this one! If he ever dares to mistreat you, I'll kick him out of the family!"

"Grandpa."

Cynthia gently patted the back of Sebastian's hand. "Augustus and I will have a good life together."

Augustus said helplessly, "How could I bear to mistreat Cynthia?"

He wished he could give her everything.

After seeing Sebastian inside, Wyatt and Efrain's cars arrived too. Globally limited edition business cars—only ten in total.

Wyatt and Efrain got out, and bodyguards from the cars behind them carried out box after box of jewelry, gold...

"Cynthia, these are our wedding gifts for you!" Wyatt looked at Cynthia, grinning from ear to ear. "We didn't count exactly how much, but we specially chose your lucky number 9. Nine pieces of each gift."

The live stream audience went wild.

"Oh, my God! That's so generous! With all that stuff, I couldn't earn it in dozens of lifetimes."

"I'm crying tears of envy."

"Cynthia is so lucky to be loved by such amazing big shots!"

Security guards carried the items inside. After Wyatt and Efrain gave a few more instructions, they also entered the venue.

Next came colleagues from Sienna Jewelry Corp. They hadn't seen each other in a long time, and everyone looked much more beautiful.

Probably because the company was gradually getting on track, everyone's work environment had improved a lot, and they all looked energetic.

"Ms. Lockhart! You look gorgeous today!"

"We miss you so much. When will you come back to the company to visit?"

"Ms. Lockhart! Thank you for inviting us. I saw so many big shots today—faces you only see in the news. It really opened my eyes!" The colleagues were all incredibly excited, chatting and laughing as they entered the venue together.

"Are you tired?"

Augustus looked down at her. "You've been standing so long. Do your feet hurt?"

Cynthia shook her head. "I'm too happy to feel tired."

"If you're tired, we can go inside and rest."

A very cool black military sports car appeared at the entrance.

A man wearing a black leather jacket slowly approached. He radiated a chilling coldness, a calm yet violent presence that made everyone who saw him instinctively step back.

Ethan thought this guy didn't look like a good person and instinctively moved Cynthia behind him.

The man walked toward Cynthia. He had a scar on his face, as if just one frown from him could crush everything around him.

Raymond and Caspian also sensed something was off and stepped forward, fully on guard.

After the man approached, he respectfully called out to Cynthia, "Boss."

Ethan, Raymond, and Caspian looked confused. "What did you call Cynthia?"

Cynthia smiled and pulled her brothers aside. "This is Brutus, my subordinate."

Augustus had met Brutus before. The two men nodded at each other.

"Subordinate?" Hugh was stunned. Seeing such a terrifying face, respectfully calling Cynthia "Boss" felt like watching a horror movie.

"Brutus handles all the matters in Thalassia."

"I see." Raymond finally relaxed and proactively extended his hand to Brutus. "Welcome."

He'd heard the name Brutus before when he was on missions in Thalassia. Rumor had it he was an extremely ruthless character—no one in the entire region dared to provoke him, and he had a violent temper and never submitted to anyone.

He never expected that Cynthia could even win over someone like this.

This ability made Raymond admire her.

Zachary got out of a car behind them. His car had been delayed for a while because it was detected to contain offensive weapons.

"Boss!"

Zachary ran over excitedly and secretly handed Cynthia a box.

"A gift, Brutus and I prepared for you!" Then he mysteriously opened it in front of Cynthia.

"Mini grenades. If Augustus ever treats you badly, just stuff this down his pants—works every time!"

Cynthia was amused by his childish idea.

"Should I stuff it in your clothes first?"

Zachary laughed. "This isn't an ordinary grenade. Because of its mini size, it's very powerful. It took me a lot of effort to get my hands on it."

"Alright."

Cynthia was afraid someone would see this thing and quickly closed the box. "Get inside now, and don't cause any trouble today!"

"Don't worry, with Brutus and me here, the wedding will go smoothly!"

After Zachary and Brutus went in, Augustus gave Cynthia a meaningful look.

Cynthia guiltily avoided his eyes. Oh no, Augustus must have heard what was said just now.

Zoey also arrived, bringing colleagues from the pharmaceutical factory to give Cynthia and Augustus their blessings.

The live stream audience, watching wave after wave of important figures, was all shocked.

"I've watched royal weddings, and they weren't even this grand!"

"Who exactly is Cynthia? All these people at the top of various industries treat her so well."

"She's absolutely amazing."

The hashtag #CynthiaWedding stayed at the top of all social media platforms.

Finally, after greeting all the guests, Augustus and Cynthia entered the venue and stood beside the stage waiting.

The Lockhart family stood by Cynthia's side, their eyes full of pride and tenderness.

Randolph said, "My dear daughter is really getting married today."

Beatrice said, "Remember, no matter what, your family will always be behind you."

Several brothers stepped forward and gave Cynthia strong, warm hugs, their eyes full of undisguised affection.

"Cynthia, I'll always be your strongest support."

"If he dares to let you suffer even a little, Caspian and I will never let him off!"

"Even after you're married, come home often to visit. Hugh will cry again if he doesn't see you."

Cynthia listened carefully, her eyes growing warm, nodding firmly, wrapped tightly in her family's warmth.

The wedding ceremony began. Under everyone's gaze, Cynthia and Augustus exchanged vows, rings, and kisses.

In that moment, everything around them seemed to quiet down, leaving only each other's heartbeats.

After the ceremony, Cynthia and Augustus walked side by side toward the guests. Cynthia was elegant and composed, smiling as she accepted every blessing.

Augustus kept his hand gently on her waist, his posture protective and tender. Every move told everyone that she was his treasure.

They were perfectly in sync—a glance, a nod, and they understood each other's thoughts, becoming the most compatible and dazzling couple at the entire venue.

Amid the cheers and celebrations, Augustus took Cynthia's hand and slowly walked down from the stage.

He reached out and gently pulled her into his embrace, looking down at her. His voice was low and tender. "I still can't believe you really belong to me now."

He lowered his head and gently kissed her lips. The kiss was soft, lingering, carrying the promise of a lifetime.

The surrounding noise gradually faded away. The sunlight was perfect, the breeze was gentle, and their story had only just begun.
