Chapter - 60: A Strange Encounter
(Faedra's POV).
I pitched hard to my sides, continuously without end. What exactly was it that I had been doing wrong? Why was nothing changing?
I felt stunned, weak, and tired.
He had raged out terribly, which made me bothered. I was scared back then; at the moment, I was really weak, and my senses were all jumbled up as tears continued streaking down my cheeks to no avail. Nothing was helping matters, and I felt terrible.
The look in their eyes seemed distant, but more than that, I almost believed we were doing well; we all made up, he apologized, and they admitted their feelings to me, so what was wrong, and why was I still knocked up? Thinking of such issues, why was I so broken? Down to my nerves, I didn't like it, but nothing could be done to ease the pain I felt. The inside churned, but there was nothing to be done about it.
He was right, it was all my fault. If I had not fallen sick, if I had not been so weak that they had bullied me at the pack quarters for a maid, a nurse would never have been hired in the first place, all I would have done was sit back, relax, and let every good feeling course through my veins. So far, there was little that could be done about the whole issue and I was as determined as anything to have it all cleared out, but it was too late. Sheila was, and she belonged to Shade.
Zed walked in, startling me in the process. I was quick to flinch. I tilted my head sideways, trying to shield my eyes from him. I had been lucky as I wiped off the tears without him seeming to realize anything was wrong with me.
“Good evening, Faedra, and how are you feeling today?” He asked, pulling closer to me while I feigned a false smile on my lips.
“I'm fine, Zed; I wasn't expecting you to come around,” I asked, trying hard to bury my pain within myself. It seems hard enough, but there wasn't much that could be done about it from my end.
A loud sigh escaped my lips, but I was determined as anything it took to keep my pain away from Zed that I could not add to his worries.
“What was wrong? Did anything happen between you and Shade? He looked pissed walking out of the room. I passed him by, and he seemed to have tears in his eyes.” Zed asked, but I couldn't help it. I believed that I could act like the strong.
Tears slid off my cheeks reluctantly while I sighed heavily, pondering what I had done and how much his words had hurt me.
“Faedra, what did he do to you?” he asked again, pulling closer to me, but I felt lightheaded a bit; maybe it had something to do with my third.
I didn't get the water I wanted, and here I was drowning in more tears.
I sniffed hard but found it hard to breathe; the pain sank deep into my mind. His words tainted me as they played in a continuous loop, rendering me helpless and useless.
“Zed...” I called out; it seemed almost as if my soul was being snagged off of my body; my knees went weak a bit; I could barely understand a thing; why did everyone make me feel sick? I need help.
I felt my sides shook, my body light and my eyes closed shut and slammed my body against Zed's.

I pushed it open; it was cold; I darted my eyes about; I stared blankly into nothingness; I could see Zed; panic had struck him; he seemed worried; his voice was loud as he called out to the others while he tried holding me up.
I could see my body; I could see myself, but something was wrong. Why wasn't I understanding a single thing that was going on between everybody else?
I seemed weak and nervous, my senses going as wild as anything else I could recall. I glanced around, not understanding what was happening; my body shook slowly; something was odd; I wasn't with them; I could see them from a far distance; a cold wind blew harshly against my skin while I closed my eyes, but at once I let the pain reel slowly into me.

“Where were you? One single job! I fucking asked you to do one bloody thing, and you couldn't even do it right!.” Zed yelled while my eyes opened gradually. I saw the man standing before Sheila in a protective stance. It was Shade.
“She wasn't around to care for her because he was working for me; just how bad would it be to leave her side for a ducking minute? It's not her fault Faedra passed out anyway." Shade retorted, yelling at the top of his lungs.
Bitterness etched into my throat as I moved my gaze towards that of the castors; he had not flinched me a bit, and it didn't seem like he cared about me either; no one was saying anything in my defense, and I felt really bad.
I sat up from the bed slowly, taking them by surprise as their gazes were moved onto mine.
“I'm fine! It isn't Sheila's fault I passed out.” I responded, starting the words in exactly how Shade had spoken.
“And I'd like to be alone with Zed,” I retorted, keeping up my stance while their eyes matched mine slowly.
“You can't just stay alone with him. I should be here too, "the caster protested, but it made me even sicker. He had been there when Shade was speaking and said nothing.
Please please! I've had enough. Just Zed.” I added in again, coming in harshly while the doors were pushed open slowly. and they all made their way out of the room, leaving me with Zed.
