Chapter 123: Getting Down Too Business

My second day home consist of eating breakfast in bed with Ace, watching him get ready to go to the building that him and Ricardo bought for me to start my business. He comes out of the bathroom in just a towel wrapped round his waist, he goes over to the dresser and pulls out aa pair of briefs and then over to the walk-in closet. He comes out of the closet a moment later dressed in a blue t-shirt, dark blue jeans and black basketball high top sneakers also in blue. He looks so good that it had me thinking. (Is she really not going to be there?)

“Babe?” I call out to him as he fixes his hair.

“Yeah baby, what is it?”

“Is she really not going to be there?” I asked trying not to imply that he is lying to me again. It must not have worked because he answers me in a voice that sounds like he is trying to bite back his irritation towards me.

“Yeah, I told you that now that we bought the building that there is no reason for her to be there. Plus, she’s married and I am madly in love with you.. Just remember that.” He says coming over to me on the bed and bending over to kiss me on the lips. “I’ll see you after I get back. Have fun with Axel, but not too much fun.” He says and I can tell that he is teasing me.

“Ok, I love you!” I call out to him as he makes his way to the bedroom door.

“Love you too, baby!” He says opening the door and walking out shutting the door behind him. A few minutes later Axel walks into the bedroom.

“Hi Jay, what’s up?” He says as he takes a sit next to the bed.

“Not much, just woke up. If you can grab me my lap desk and laptop I would appreciate it.” I say gesturing over to where they are.

“Sure.” He says going over to where they are and grabbing them, he brought them over, setting the laptop down on the nightstand, he takes the lap desk and opens it up and places it over my lap, he then picked up the laptop and placed it on top of the lap desk.

“Thanks.”

“What are you working on? I know you have nothing from the office to do, Rex is handling that for you.”

“Working on finding stock for my business and Ricardo’s and Carmella’s wedding. We have the appointment with the florist on Monday at ten in the morning, then he next three days we have appointments to look at churches. I made a list for Ace to find some it for me, but with him dealing with the renovation and all I thought I would get started on this.” I explained to him.

“I see. Do you mind if I get some paper work done while you’re doing your own thing?”

“No, knock yourself out. You are welcome to use my desk.” I say to him as he goes over to his briefcase to get out his work. Right around eleven Axel turns in the chair and speaks.

“You ready for lunch?” He asked me as he takes out his phone to look up restaurants in the area that deliver.

“Yes, I’m starving.” I tell him. He finds a place.
“How’s Italian sound to you?” He asked as he’s looking at their menu.

“Sounds great.” I say putting my work aside for now.

“Ok, here’s the menu.” He says handing me his phone. I scroll down at all their food that they have to offer. Stopping on a fish sandwich with fries.

“I want the fish sandwich with fries, and a slice peanut butter pie for dessert. I place my order with him as he writes it down. He then writes down his order and their phone number. He then leaves the room to make the call, and I continue with the work that I was doing. He comes back into the room.

“It’ll be here in about forty-five minutes.” He says sitting back down.

“Ok, don’t you need to be downstairs to accept the order when it arrives?” I asked.

“No, not really. I left the room to let Carlos knows that we have food coming, Garrett sent over him and Viper to guard the front and back doors, they also put in their lunch orders.” He explains to me. (Sounds like he has everything taken  care of.) I think to myself as Axel opens his mouth to speak. I look at him waiting for him to get the words out. “Listen Jay, I’m really sorry for this whole Janet mess. This is all my fault.” He says rubbing the back of his neck.

“Axel it’s fine! It is not your fault I don’t blame you at all. You didn’t ask her to be obsessed with you, did you?”

“Hell no!” He says in a loud voice.

“Then you have nothing to feel guilty about or apologize for.” I say giving him a smile. I say just as he gets a text on his phone.

“Foods here.” He says and walks out the door. Moments later the door opens and not just Axel walks through the door but so does Ace with a bag of food in his hands. “Look who I found?” Axel says as he throws an arm around Ace’s shoulder.

“So, you went through the drive thru and brought it back to eat with us.”

“Yep, and I think you are going to like the ideas that we have come up with.” Ace says as he takes a seat on the edge of the bed next to me and Axel sits at the desk to eat his food.

“Well, I’m going to be heading back now, Carlos and Viper will remain outside guarding until the next shift change.” Axel explains to us. We both nod our heads at him as he leaves the room.
