Chapter 124: Let Us Get Started? Part 1
Jaycee’s P.O.V.
Over the weekend I got together with Carmella and Ricardo on the floral decorations for the church and the bar while Ace went back to the apartment to grab his things. He said he didn’t take much and when he came back to the house, he was right, all of his belongs that he took fit into one duffle bag. This is how the three of us discussed the floral arrangements:
Flashback
We decided to sit at he kitchen table while going over the floral decorations, I grab out the church pamphlets, my sketch pad and pencils.
“You’re going to draw this Jay?” Ricardo asked me with his eyebrows raised looking skeptical.
“Well, yeah. How else are we going to describe to the florist exactly what you two want, I figured a visual would be better than verbally describing it.” I answered him by explaining what my thoughts were with the drawings.
“She’s right Hun, it is better with the drawings then without.” Carmella says agreeing with me.
“So, we set to go?” I asked Ricardo.
“Yeah, draw away.” I started drawing the church when Carmella yelped in our ears.
“WAIT!!!”
“What?” I asked her.
“I wanted the wedding on the beach!”
“Carm, one of the churches shows a view of the beach, they’re not directly on the beach. We could ask them oof course, but according to the pamphlet the church is on a hill over looking the beach.” I say taking the pamphlet in question out of the pile and had it to her. She looks at it.
“Ok, but can we ask?” she asked me with puppy dog eyes.
“It wouldn’t hurt.” I say continuing with my drawing of the church. “I will make three drawings then, one of the church, one of the beach and the last one of the bar. Sound good?”
“Sounds good.” As we continue on with the arrangements, I start to worry about Ace.
“Why is it taking Ace so long to get back with his things?”
“Maybe he stopped by the building to check on the workers.” Carmella answers.
“Yeah, maybe. I have to make a list o stuff we will need if it is going to be outdoors, such as a tent, folding chairs, I was thinking seeing if we can get the chairs to have cushions, the carpet for the walk down the aisle and I have to also draw the bouquets that the four of us will be carrying, and of course yours has to look better then ours.” I say this as I make the list.

Of course, Carmella was right Ace did stop at the building to check up on the workers. I fact it was a good thing he did since they had a bunch of questions for him and ne for me to answer. I couldn’t believe that I was being included until I heard the question then I knew why I was. The small discussion went like this:
“Hey baby, the workers wanted to know about the signage out front. What are you naming your business?” He asked.
“I was thinking why not ‘J&A Bridal Services’!”
“Why the ‘A’?”
“for your name, I want you to be a part of this, you did make my dream come true.” I tell him.
“Are you sure. Cause I could just stay working for Ricardo.”
“I want this, babe. Please say yes!!!”
“Fine, I will give Ricardo our two weeks’ notice, this is defiantly ruining some of he surprise now!!!” He says looking a little depressed.
“How”
“Well, I asked them to have it all done in two weeks so that you can use your own business to finish up planning their wedding.”
“REALLY!!!” I say jumping up and down.”
“Really!”
“Oh, I want mannequins in the window, on one side a bride and groom and on the other side a man proposing to a woman.” I tell him.
“I’ll see what hey can do, I’m not promising anything baby.”
“I know.”
Now it’s Mondy morning and we are getting ready for our first appointment or the week, the florist. We just got done with our showers and we are in the closet choosing hat to wear for the day. I chose a brown mini skirt and matching blazer with a cream colored blouse. Ace chose a dark blue suit pants and jacket and white dress shirt with dark blue boots. After I got dressed I put on a pair of dark brown pumps. I did my hair up in a side braid and for make-up earth tones since fall is just around he corner. I grab my brown purse and black soft leather briefcase, while Ace grabs his wallet and keys. We had downstairs for breakfast. Axel is already here and eating, we seem to be the last ones at the table. Our food is on the table in front of our seats, we seat down ay our ‘Good mornings’ and dig in. The five if us Carmella, Ricardo, Axel, Ace and myself grab our things and head for our cars. We make it fifteen minutes before our schedule appointment.
“Oh, hi Jaycee. I’ll be right with you guys.” The florist Lily say to me.
“Take your time, we’re actually early.” I say to her as we look around.
“Ok, I’m ready now. Let’s go to my office.” She says gesturing for us to follow. Ace and Axel stay outside guarding it while were in with the florist. “So, what do you have for me?” She asked as I start going through my briefcase for my drawings.
“Actually Lily, ii think this may be your shortest meeting yet. Because what I have here are drawings of what they want or ideas. I drew floral decorations for church pews, for a beach wedding I have floral decorations for the folding chairs and arch, then I have the floral decorations for the wedding reception at the bar. These here are drawings of bouquets for the bride, maid of honor and the two brides maids. I have it labeled at the bottom here.” I say pointing to the bottom of the page.
“Good, your right. Shortest meeting ever. I can order the flowers for the bouquets and the bar, I am going to need to know the definite decision on which wedding venue you will be going with before I can order those flowers.”
“We understand, we will also know the exact date once we visit the churches this week. I will let you know no later than Friday of this week>” I tell her.
“sounds good to me, here’s my card.” She says as she hands me her business card.
“I’ll give you a business card as soon as I get mine in.” I tell her as I put the business card into my briefcase.
