Somewhere Across Town
Garrett’s and Stephan’s girlfriends Brenda Sue and Shirley were shopping in a boutique downtown hen a strange woman walked up to them and started talking as if she knew them.
“Hey! You’re Carmella’s friends Brenda and Suzie! Right!” The woman said excitedly.
“I’m Brenda Sue and Shirley, and yes we are. Who are you?” Brenda spoke to her.
“Oh, sorry! Breanda Sue and Shirley! I’m Janet Saint James! We should really get together with our boyfriends sometime. I mean you are dating Garrett and Stephan, right? We should include Carmella also!” Janet said overwhelming the girls.
“Sure…Who’s your boyfriend?” Shirley asked Janet.
“’Axel McCormick! Speaking of Garrett, Carmella and Stephan, I really don’t like Your boyfriends sister Jaycee. All she does is throw herself at Axel even in front of me. So, could you kindly tell her to back off!” Janet say with venom in her voice.
“You got her all wrong, she’s not like that>” Breanda says defending Jaycee.
“Then you don’t know her all that well! Now do you?” She says starting to get angry. “Well, call me!” Janet finishes talking. Brenda Sue and Shirley looks at each other as Janet leaves the store.
“I’m going to have a talk with Stephan.” Shirley tells Brend Sue.
“I’ll go see Carmella, if this is true she needs to know since it concerns both her brother and cousin.” Brenda Sue says. They booth leave the store without purchasing anything worried about what is happening with Carmella’s family, especially Ace since he is engaged to Jaycee.
Carmella’s P.O.V.
\[Yes, Ricardo I’m on my way now! I just can’t believe that this is happening to her.\] I say as I get a call from Ricardo concerning Jaycee almost being killed. I hang up, grabbing my things I walk out of the office and just as I’m about to go out the door I literally bump into someone coming in. “Whoa, there! Where’s the fire?” I say shocked that someone would be entering the bar in a rush.
“Whoa! Carm! It’s me, I had to come and see you.” Brenda Sue says catching her breath.
“I’m on my way out though.” I informed her.
“I have to tell you something, it’s important. You need to hear this before you leave.” She tells me.
“Ok, make it quick, something happened at the hospital, and I really need to get there.” I explained to her without going into many details.
“Shirley and I were just at a boutique downtown when we ran into someone that seems to know you, anyway, she said that she is Axel’s girlfriend and Jaycee keeps making advances toward him even right in front of her.” She says all of this to me in one breath.
“Ok, first calm down. Second, Axel doesn’t have a girlfriend and you now why. Third you know very well that Jaycee isn’t like that.” I say getting a little angry that someone would say that about my future sister/cousin-in-law.
“I tired telling her that, but she said that we didn’t know Jaycee like we thing we do then. So, I thought I should let you know while Shirley is letting Stephan know.” She informs me still looking worried.
“Did this girl give you a name?” I asked her, it’s got to be someone who has it out for her.
“Yeah she did, she said her name was Janet Saint James.” That was it, my blood is now really boiling over the boiling point.
“That makes sense now, she’s the girl that has been obsessed with Axel and has it out for Jaycee, they both have restraining orders against her, because of his feelings towards Jaycee. In fact, I’m on my way to the hospital now, we think that she sent someone there to impersonate a nurse to try and kill Jaycee.” I explained fully this time so that she knows what kind of person her and Shirley just got done dealing with.
“Oh my god, now I feel like a fool. Is she alright?” she asked me as her concern went from Ace to Jaycee.
“Yes, Ricco caught on quickly before the unprescribed sleeping pills could have been given to her. Ace and Ricardo is on their way over there now.”
“I’ll let you go then, sorry for believing that bitch.” She turns around and leaves the bar with me, going to our cars together. I get in mine and head straight for the hospital. (Wait until Ricardo hears about this.) I think to myself as I drive along the busy streets.
I get to the hospital and walk into the building after parking my car in their underground garage. Entering Jaycee’s hospital room, I noticed that Ace and Ricardo are already there.
“Sorry I’m late guys but Brenda Sue stopped by her and Shirley ran into Janet at the boutique just now. You guys are not going to believe what she had to say to them.” I say pissed off that someone would actually do this kind of thing to two people that I love.
“I know, I just got off the phone with Stephan. Shirley was just there and told him everything that was said, and she believed every word that Janet said. He almost broke up with her for talking about his sister they way she was.
“So, what’s going to happened with that nurse imposter now. She was caught right?” I asked.
“She was, not sure yet. I have to talk to the guards. I have made some changes in security here and once she gets home.” He explains to me as he runs his hands down his face. I rub his back to try and get him to calm down, I know he can’t think straight unless he does.
