Chapter 41: Heartbroken
" Allie, I know you are hurt and I just want to let you know that I'm here for you if you want to talk " I slowly got up from the ground and steadied my breathing before I spoke. " Thank you, Sasha. I appreciate it. I just want to be alone for a bit while I pack my things. " She stays quiet for a few moments. " Just remember that I am right outside with Matt if you need anything. " Thank you Sash," I say and go to the big walk-in closet and get a suitcase from the top of the shelf. Luckily I brought a few things over a few days ago because I don't want to go to Uncle Buck's to get the rest of my things. After all, he is going to ask a lot of questions. I grab all my belongings and toss them in the suitcase. I don't have much time to pack everything neatly because we have to leave for the airport in a short while. I close the suitcase and take one more look at the bedroom. I can't believe that two nights ago Jack and I made love in this room, in the bathroom, which I thought was the best. Apparently, not for him.

Allie stood in the room, taking in the scenery for one last time. She is heartbroken. Her entire body is numb. Tears are starting to build up in her eyes. She wipes away the tears with the palm of her hand and notices the engagement ring Jack gave her. She stares at it for a few moments and removes the ring, It feels wrong but she knows that she is doing the right thing. Now Jack can be with Nickie, who might be his actual Mate. She is not going to stand in Jack's way. She will leave him before he leaves her. She won't survive Jack breaking her heart for the second time. She won't be able to watch him in those beautiful golden/hazel eyes while he tells her that it is over between them and that he is rather going to marry Nickie instead. She put the ring down on Jack's bedside table, turned around and headed out the bedroom door, not looking back, afraid that if she looked back, she would remember all her and Jack's memories together and she might not leave.

At the airport, Allie Says goodbye to Matt and Sasha. Sasha and Allie shared e few intimate moments hugging each other and wishing each other luck.
" Do you know where you are going "
" Yes, But I can't tell you guys. It is for the best? " Sasha turns an upside-down face and hugs Her again. " Just be safe and take care of yourself, " Sasha says, wishing her luck. Allie turns around and disappears into the crown before Matt and Sasha see her cry again. She doesn't want to show weakness in front of werewolves when they are such strong creatures, otherwise, they would think she is weak.
Allie boarded on the plain and she took some earphones out of her bag to listen to music. Music always helps to calm her and take her mind off of things. It wasn't long before she dozed off And only woke when the Captain said over the intercom that everyone should fasten their seatbelts. Allie booked a plane ticket To Italy and she did not want to tell Matt that she was going back to where Jack first asked her to Marry him and where she lost her virginity to him. Jack is Matt's Alpha and Matt must obey Jack's every order, so she doesn't want to take the chance of Matt accidentally telling Jack where she is. She doesn't want Jack to come look for her before she has time to think things over. She doubts that Jack would come to look for her in any way, now that he has someone more worthy of his throne. She would never have fitted into his world and he would always have to protect her against danger from other wolves.

Allie was fortunate enough to find a small little cottage to rent over a store in the small town where she and Jack last came for their holiday. She fell in love with the place and all the friendly people when they were here a little over a week ago. Unfortunately, it does not feel as romantic this time without Jack. Her Heart feels empty without him. There is a knot in her throat when she looks out her small cottage balcony into the horizon. All the memories of her and Jack came flooding back and the tears started to come out again. She ran back into the small cottage, falling on the bed with her head stuffed into the pillow while she cried her heart out. She has been keeping it in and now she is finally releasing all her heartache until there weren't any tears left to cry, but her heart and body still felt so, so numb. She lay there on the bed with a soft breeze coming in through the open doors of the balcony, caressing her on the cheek. She closed her eyes, imagining that it was Jack stroking her cheek, comforting her. She finally fell asleep with the doors open and the sound of the ocean coming from a far distance. shushing her sound asleep.

The next day, her entire body was numb and she didn't want to get up from the bed. She just stayed in bed the entire day, staring out to the balcony. She felt too heartbroken to move or eat when suddenly, she felt nauseous. She flung up from the bed and ran to the bathroom. She made it just in time when she started to vomit. She felt sick in her stomach. It must be from all the stress and heartache, and she hadn't eaten anything since the festival. She rinsed her mouth out and went back to bed because she started to feel dizzy.

( Jack's POV )

When I started to come to, I could feel someone lying on my chest. My wolf is furious, I don't know why he would be furious if our Mate is lying with us. I lifted my hand to stroke her back when I smelled a familiar scent. This is not Allie's scent. I open my eyes only to discover Nickie's naked body against mine. " What the fuck? " I jump up from the ground, taking in the scenery in front of me.
" Why the fuck are we in the forest naked on the ground" I shout at Nickie. My wolf is furious with rage. The corner of Nickie's lips curved into a smile as she stood up from the ground, covering her body with the dress we both were just lying on. " I won't ask you again! What the hell happened? " I shout at her, grabbing her by the shoulders, and shaking her.
"What do you mean, what happened? We made love. " Her words hit me with shock. It is not possible. I would not sleep with her ever again in my life. I have Allie, My Mate. I would never do this to her. It is not possible. I let go of Nickie to look for my clothes. They were lying on the ground, leading a trail back to the Hall where I last remember coming out to stop the new wolves from causing trouble when I found Nickie out here instead. I remember that my eye started to feel heavy and next thing, I woke up naked with Nickie in the woods.
' She framed us ' My wolf says in my head, and it must be true. Why else did I not remember the rest of the night? The sun already started to come out and it is dawn.
I picked the clothes up and got dressed. I try to Mind-Link Matt, but I can't get through. What the fuck is going on. I go inside to ask the people inside if they have seen Matt and Allie. They said that they saw Matt leave with Allie in his arms last night. My wolf is raging with anger and I can't hold him back anymore. I shift into my wolf form and sprint off into the forest. I need to find Allie. Did She see me and Nickie? And why the fuck would Matt carry her out. What happened? My wolf is in pain. Something is wrong. I'm running through the forest at the speed of light. In no time, I was at my parent's mansion. I Mind-link my dad and asked him where Matt and Allie were and he said that he thought that I left with Allie and Matt last night to go back to the Lake house. Without giving my dad a reason why I'm looking for Matt and Allie, I sprint off at lightning speed again to go back to the Lake-Hous. It is going to be the fastest if I ran in my wolf form through the forest than to drive a car. My wolf is on edge. He wants to find his Mate and so do I.
