Chapter 39 Plan.
Giron's POV.
I was enjoying a class of blood when L stomped into my room looking a bit worried and furious at the same time. What could be wrong that got him in such a bad mood? Perhaps it had something to do with a human or the prince.
"Is there a problem L?" I asked watching him curiously.
He gazed at me seriously and I could feel that whatever he had to say is very important. "We need to put our plans into action Giron. The prince and that human girl slept together last night. I heard them, and I couldn't help my disgust."
I rolled my eyes a bit, "it is normal to bed a human slave L. That is actually what they are good at. Perhaps the prince is just making use of his slave."
"Its more than that!" L snapped. "I can tell that the prince is falling in love with that human. He is going to make the same mistake as the King made in the past, and if Kate remains with Domenic and he keeps taking her blood, he will become too powerful and we won't be able to bring him down."
I nodded in understanding at his words. With Kate's special blood, it won't be right that we waste a lot of time leaving her with Domenic. If he becomes too powerful, there is going to be a lot of people.
"So, what shall we do? How shall we take Kate without the King and the prince knowing?"
L grinned darkly, "leave that to me Giron. You play your part as I told you. Tell the King that you will be returning to your coven tonight. My men will bring Kate to you when you are half way in your journey."
I nodded, but I was feeling a bit worried. "But will you be okay?"
L brushed off my worries. "I'll be fine. Just make sure no one suspects you. Our plan has to work perfectly if we must succeed in our mission. You must ask for an audience with the king and inform him about your departure. You leave by tonight."
I nodded in agreement. The truth is that, L is very smart. I depend entirely on him when it comes to things like this. He knows the right way to make everything go as planned, and I deeply respect him for that. He's probably one of the few people I respect the most in the vampire kingdom.
As for the human girl Kate, I can't wait to have her under my wings. Her sweet blood and cute face. I can't wait to ravish her.
Kate's POV.
I woke up with a groan feeling every part of my body tingling with the after effect of last love making with Domenic. I smiled and rolled over on the bed hoping to find Domenic beside me, but once again, he was gone.
I sighed in disappointment and sat up on the bed sadly. Why does he always leave before I wake up? He didn't really leave last time, but it still makes me feel shitty. Is it that he doesn't like to see my face, or is he still angered by our argument last night?
I don't know how to feel about this, but no matter how I tired to think that maybe he just had something urgent to do, I still feel shitty. Why does he always leave me alone in bed?
As I thought about it, Sarah walked into the room with some clothes, and when she saw me bare chested from the part where my blankets couldn't cover up on the bed, she blushed and looked away.
Why was she acting so shy? She has seen me naked before. Unless maybe this time she knew the reason for my nakedness.
It was my turn to blush at the possibility.
"It's time for your bath Kate." She mumbled looking anywhere but at me.
I chuckled and got out of bed as naked as the day I was born. "You've seen me naked numerous times Sarah. No need to be shy."
She looked at me again, blushed and then looked away. "It's just that, your body is covered in red marks."
My eyes widened in shock and I rushed to the mirror to check if it was true. I gasped when I saw myself. My chest, neck, stomach and even my thighs were covered in hickeys. The only place spares was my face.
Damn, Domenic really acted like a caveman last night, but I totally enjoyed it. The sourness between my legs were proof of that.
"It could be from mosquitoes you know." I tried in a pathetic attempt to cover up what I actually did last night with Domenic. Maybe Domenic is always running away because he doesn't want anyone to know about us.
The thought of me being nothing but a secret lover to him irritated me, and so I pushed it away.
Sarah gave me a sorry look. "You don't have to lie Kate. I know you slept with prince Domenic last night. Actually, half the palace already knows." She blushed again, "you were quite loud and the vampires have supernatural hearing ability."
My heart dropped. Does everyone really know that I have been sleeping with the prince? Maybe that's why Domenic ran away. He's ashamed that everyone knows he was fucking me. Maybe he's angry because I was too loud.
"Don't overthink things Kate. It'll just mess with your emotions." Sarah broke the silence with a gentle voice. An understanding smile was on her lips.
"Did I say my thoughts out loud?" I asked confused.
"You didn't, but you're literally battling with yourself. I can see it in your eyes."
I sighed. "Well, I guess everyone knows it now. There's nothing I can do about it. Maybe that's why Domenic got angry and left."
Sarah shook her head. "Prince Domenic isn't angry. He asked me to get you ready so you can come have breakfast with him. He had something to do that was why he left before you woke up. He's actually waiting for you at the dinning hall."
My sadness disappeared to be replaced with excitement. "Really?! Domenic is waiting for me at the dinning hall?"
My happiness must be contagious because Sarah nodded her head in rapid excitement. "Yes Kate. He asked me to bring you."
So he isn't mad at me?!
I looked at Sarah with a wide smile. "So what are you waiting for? Help me get ready so I can go have breakfast."
I may look like a desperate idiot to Sarah, but I don't care. All I cared about is the fact that Domenic isn't angry with me and wants to have breakfast with me just like before.
My heart pounded in my chest at the thought of seeing his handsome face again. I miss him already.
Maybe, I might really like Prince Domenic more than I expected.
