Chapter 40 Going Back.
Sarah lead me to the dining hall after helping me with my bath that morning, and just as she said, Domenic was already waiting for me at the table. I tried to calm my breathing down when I found him at the table looking so undeniably hot in his dark red shirt and a knowing smirk on his face.
"Morning Kate," his deep sexy voice greeted me with a husky that made me instantly wet and needy for his touch. He sure knows how to turn me on without doing anything.
"Mo_morning Domenic." I answered and moved to sit down on my own side of the table.
Before I could sit, Domenic raised his brow at me. "I don't want you to sit there today."

Nevertheless, I went to him and slowly took a sit on his lap. "That's right kitty. Right where you belong." He whispered seductively. My face was literally as red as a tomato right now. "Help yourself." He said referring to his own plate of food that was already set right in front of him.

"Domenic..." I tried to protest.
"Wait Kate, let me finish." He cut me off gently. "I can't do anything to save all the humans because then I will be ridiculed by my own kind and thurst aside, but I realized that I care so much about you, and as long as you're a human in this cruel world of mine, you'll always be in danger." He stopped again and took in another deep breath. "So I have decided to send you back home tonight."
My eyes widened and my head whipped towards his direction. "You... You want to send me back to the human world tonight?"
He nodded. "Yes Kate, because I don't want any harm to come to you while you're still here. First of all, your blood attracts a lot of attention to you. A lot of them would come for you soon."
"B...but isn't tonight too soon?"
"The sooner I send you back, the safer it is for you. Why do you sound so conflicted anyway?" He asked curiously. "Don't you want to go back?"
"I did. I mean I do, but..." I bit my lips and played with my spoon. "But, will you... Will you come with me?"
My heart pounded in anticipation as I waited for his answer. Why did I even ask him that? Maybe he doesn't even like me like that? Maybe...
"I can move freely between both words kitty. I promise I'll come check up on you regularly, but for now, you have to go back."
I sighed in relief. Visiting regularly is not as satisfying as living with him like this, but I guess I can manage. As long as me being back in the human world puts his heart as ease. It's much better than never seeing him again. Besides, my mom and Quinn must have been so worried about me.
"Okay," I agreed. "As long as you promise to come see me sometimes."

He grinned, "yes of course kitty. I wouldn't want you to miss me too much."
I smiled as he again pulled me closer to him. This is the right time to tell him that I really like him a lot, but I decided not to in that moment. I'll tell him before he sends me back tonight.
