Chapter 33: "My Queen"

Byron:

“Shadows” and “Hunters” clashed violently around us as Kolt dealt with Ace allowing me to focused on Aeros, catching a momentary glimpse of Seb spearing “Madam” after Lea and Mei fought her bound, and weakened in their current states.

“Both “Bad Asses”.” Storm howled darkly as Aeros circled around me, flashing his pointed fangs in a sinister smirk.

Kolt and Ace tumbled between us as fists swung angrily through the air, blood splattering through the air as Kolt’s fists swung back with a determination to put a stop to this “Fucked up” family battle. Aeros smirked with an evil glint as he disappeared in the chaos, appearing to my right as his fist swung through the metallic drenched air, slamming into my right shoulder.

“Always played dirty.” I laughed mockingly, lunging back at him as we slammed into the soft earth, grappling for control over the other.

“You never played “Fair”.” He hissed back as his fist connected to my chin, snapping my jaw together with a heavy crunch, slamming my knee into his ribcage with a sharp twist.

Kolt toppled over my back as Ace took the open shot to claw my back as Aeros grabbed my head, slamming his head into mine with a dark, guttural growl. Jumping back, spitting the mouth full of bloody mucus to the ground as Aeros rushed at me.

Slamming his knee into my chest, upper cutting my chin, grabbing his leg slamming him over my shoulder with a loud cracking thud. The ground roared to life as all three clans barreled through the tree line, lunging at the weaker “Hunters” as Morgan’s coven witches sealed the barrier around the Battlefield.

“What did you do?” Aeros grunted as he swiped the blood from his chin with his arm, spitting the remaining bloody mucus from his mouth as we paced around each other.

“You think I would come unprepared. TSK. TSK.” I laughed darkly as Kolt growled darkly, backing up to my back.

“Nowhere to run.” Kolt laughed over his shoulder as Aeros narrowed his gaze on me with a malice glint in his eye.

Lightning erupted from the moon laced sky as loud screeching cries, echoed out around us. Aeros and Ace seemed enraged at the turn of events as a dark glint laced across their faces.

“Where’s your precious mate?” Aeros laughed darkly as my heart thundered in rage that he would mention her at a time like this.

“Safe from your mother.” I laughed darkly as Aeros perked a brow, side glancing the direction where Seb ended her life protecting Lea and his Queen.

“It’s not over brothers.” Ace hissed darkly as they circled around us, lunging at the same time as Kolt shifted his weight, dodging the flying fist that missed his face but missed the upper cut that connected to his ribs.

Aeros dodged quickly, slamming his foot into my thigh as his left hand sliced along my chest. Storm growing irritated as Aeros and Ace switched, lunging with claws as me and Kolt ducked at the last second, watching as the two connected their attacks against each other with dark grunts.

“Missed.” Kolt mocked darkly, rushing at the stunned duo slamming our fists into their sternums, knocking the air from their lungs as our claws slashed violently across their faces and legs.

“Byron.” Lea linked weakly as she appeared, carrying her mom draped over her shoulder as Seb fought off a “Hunter” that rushed at them.

“Stay back baby.” I replied firmly as Aeros smirked darkly, seeing Lea and her mom in weakened states.

Storm and Rune howled in delight, rushing the duo with our fangs drawn. Slashing violently at one another as crimson blood, painted the sky and ground in a splattering display of blackened droplets and streaks. Heavy breaths echoed heavily, jumping back calculating their next moves.

“I have a bad feeling Byron.” Kolt linked winded as Ace and Aeros’ eyes turned a haunting black with glowing red outer bands.

“Stay alert.” I replied, sliding my foot back to counterattack the frontal attack that was fixing to be unleased.

The evil smirk that etched across their lips, sent a sickening ache through my body as Ace rushed us with his swirling mist. Aeros disappeared as Rune appeared in his shadow form, clashing loudly with Ace throwing clawed fists, and heavy kicks. Scanning the surroundings for Aeros, snapping my head to Lea as Aeros appeared behind Lea and Mei with a sinister smirk.

“LEA, BEHIND YOU!” I roared panicked as Storm pushed heavily into the ground with a demonic growl ripping violently from our chest.

Seb rushed Aeros only to be tossed backwards with a violent clawed fist as Lea dodged a wild kick, landing on the ground with Mei. Aeros flicked his fingers, watching as a fiery burst of blue flames shot from the ground, surrounding them in a fiery inferno.

His black orbs glowed violently with the dancing blues and whites of the flames as the sweat tinge glistened with a ghostly cast across his bare chest. The swirling heat singed the hairs from my arms, trying to cross over as Storm and Rune howled fiercely into the night sky.

“Fucking enchanted flames! Are you fucking serious right now?” Kolt exhaled darkly, leaning onto his knees gasping for breath.

Turning my head slightly to see Ace panting heavily as blood seeped slowly from his eyes.

“Don’t worry about him. He’s dead in a matter of minutes.” Kolt exhaled deeply as he stood up covered in a heavy layer of blood and deep lacerations.

Turning back as Aeros circled Lea and Mei, standing on shaky legs as Lea stepped in front of her to protect her mother.

“What the “Hell” is she doing?” Kolt exhaled a shaky breath as Storm stirred wildly watching our mate face-off against Aeros.

“Lea, only way to defeat him is biting him in Shadow form.” I linked her as Aeros paced like a wild dog on a hunt.

“Right.” She replied sarcastically rolling the word.

“Byron, she’s a demi-god.” Storm interjected flatly like I had forgotten.

“I know, but she hasn’t figured that part out yet.” I ran my hands through my hair, tugging at the cruddy locks in disgust.

Aeros stopped pacing, narrowing his gaze on her as he erupted into a eerie pitch of laughter staring Lea down with a death gaze.

“Let’s see how long you last.” He spoke coldly, rushing at Lea as she dodged under him, while Mei landed a solid right hook, falling backwards from the collision.

Lea quickly shifted onto her feet, slamming a donkey kick to his spine as her claws dug into his face as she held on to his back with her legs. Aeros thrashed violently trying to fling Lea from his back as his claws dug into her thighs with a loud growl as she increased her grip. Blood oozed freely from her fingertips as blood soaked her thighs,

not giving up to his attempt to dislodge her.

“GO FOR THE EYES!” Kolt shouted in excitement as Lea smirked at his comment, shifting her hands as her pinky nails extended longer gripping the corners of his lips.

“Jesus! Fuck! She’s going to “Joker Face” him.” Kolt laughed darkly, watching as Lea ripped her hands violently across Aeros’ face with a deathly growl, slamming backwards to the ground as Lea rolled away quickly.

Something seemed different about her and the way she was fighting, more animalistic, calculated as she protected the pups.

“My Queen.” Kolt proudly boasted as his chest puffed out, watching the “Shadows” hold down the perimeter as Aeros and Lea squared off again.

Loud roars thundered through the night sky as black shadows circled wildly, swooping down like torpedoes, releasing green flames along the hoards of “Hunters” still putting up a fight. Another larger shadow dived, releasing purple flames to the back of us as “Hunters” screeched in agony, flailing around as their bodies erupted into flames.

“DRAGONS!” Someone shouted from the chaos as the “Shadows” circled around the ring of blue flames, protecting their Queen the best they could.

Lea released a demonic roar as her body shook in rage as Aeros sliced across her chest, spinning quickly as his foot connected to her ribcage.

“LEA!” I shouted in rage, attempting to cross the flicker blue flames, scorching my skin along my forearm.

“Dumbass.” Storm grunted darkly as we stood, watching Lea defend herself against Aeros.

“Byron!” Draven shouted as he ran to us, blow-torching a “Hunter” that rush at him with his purple flames.

“Good to see you.” I laughed darkly as Draven stopped at the blue flames, holding his hand up to the flames as he exhaled darkly.

“Fucking Enchantments.” He huffed darkly as he turned to us.

“Where’s Onyx?” Kolt asked looking around as the “Trouble Three” played with a few “Hunters” before torching the shit out of them, then another male bare fisting another “Hunter” with an evil smirk laced across his face.

“She’s not here.” Draven rebutted looking around then back to us with firm expressions.

“She disappeared the night Lea and Mei were taken.” I spoke with a soft tone as concern for Onyx bubbled deep in my stomach.

“Shit! She’s the only one that can extinguish these flames.” Draven pointed to the blue flames that raged brighter as Aeros slammed a solid fist into Lea’s chest, knocking her back a few steps.

“MOTHERFUCKER!” I roared angrily as Aeros snapped his gaze to me with a sinister glow to his expression.

The sickening feeling gaining momentum as he looked down at Mei’s unconscious body, smirking as his eyes looked up to us with a mocking wink.

He quickly grabbed Mei’s limp body, extending his nail along her neck as Lea froze in fear. Her eyes glazed over with panic as Aeros pressed enough into her throat, halting Lea’s approach.

“Stop, or dear mommy gets a new hole.” Aeros hissed darkly as Lea looked to me for an answer.
