Chapter 190: Epilogue

Chapter 190: Epilogue

"So what?" I turned around and looked at Thomas with determined eyes.

The moment our gazes met, Thomas instinctively shrank back, his confidence faltering.

"Andrew, I'm begging you, for the sake of being Jane's biological father, please help the Gonzalez family."

"The Gonzalez Group has been doing well under my management. I can't bear the blame for destroying the Gonzalez family, can I?"

"I'm Jane's biological father. All these years, even though I haven't shown her much care, when I found out she was my daughter, I still went to save her without hesitation. Andrew, I do love Jane."

"My wife is already in prison, and Nancy has gotten what she deserved. For Jane's sake, please help the Gonzalez family?"

Thomas was trying to use emotional blackmail through family ties to move Jane and me.

But it didn't work.

I looked at him and let out a cold laugh.

"Thomas, you'd better not bring up the fact that you love Jane. Do you think if you hadn't shown up in time that day to save Jane and keep her alive, you'd still have the chance to stand here and talk to me?"

I threw these words at Thomas.

The faint hope on Thomas' face vanished in an instant, replaced by a hollow look.

Yes, if he hadn't appeared in time that day to save Jane's life, he would probably be suffering the consequences he deserved right now, just like Thea and Nancy.

"So don't expect me to help you again. This is the payback you and the Gonzalez family deserve."

"As for the wedding between Jane and I, if you want to attend, you're welcome. But if you try to use Jane being your daughter to blackmail me into doing anything for you, I'll have my people throw you out without mercy."

I felt nothing for Thomas, and because of that, I had no intention of giving him even the slightest chance.

I had assumed that after hearing my words, Jane would definitely plead with me on Thomas's behalf.

But Jane, standing beside me, acted as if she hadn't heard anything. Without hesitation, she turned and walked toward the stairs, her posture straight and composed.

As she stepped onto the stairs, she turned to Thomas and said, "My father died a long time ago. So, Mr. Gonzalez, don't use the fact that you're my biological father to force me to do anything for you."

"I won't. You can forget about it."

"Honey, please show the guest out."

Seeing Jane's attitude, Thomas was completely heartbroken. He never expected that his departure all those years ago would cause such deep harm to Jane and Thora.

With nothing left to say, he could only turn and leave the Lopez Mansion, his steps slow and awkward.

As for where he went afterward and who he looked for, I didn't care at all.

What mattered was that he no longer had a way to hurt Jane or the Lopez family anymore.

Time passed quickly, and before we knew it, a month had gone by. The date of my wedding with Jane drew closer day by day.
As the sole heir to the Lopez Group, my marriage to Jane was bound to attract attention. The ceremony was arranged on a grand scale, and nearly every influential figure in the city made an appearance.

Clara arrived at the wedding venue happily, supported by Kurt, while I was busy greeting the guests.

Just when everything was ready, Ryan hurried to my side and said, "Mr. Lopez, something happened on Mrs. Lopez's side. She needs you to come over."

Hearing Ryan say something happened with Jane, I got nervous. With the wedding so close, I didn't want any more complications.

No one knew how hard it had been for me to marry Jane.

I came to Jane's dressing room. At that moment, Jamie and his team were carefully doing Jane's makeup. In her wedding dress, she looked both beautiful and elegant.

My eyes rested on her beautiful face, unable to look away for a long time.

But her expression didn't look good.

I came to her side and gently put my arm around her shoulder.

"Honey, what's wrong?"

When she heard my question, Jane slowly stood up. She turned to face me, her eyes fixed on mine with a seriousness I couldn't ignore.

She asked me, "Andrew, our wedding is about to begin. I want to ask you, are you really willing to marry me as your wife and never leave me for the rest of your life?"

"If you're not willing, you still have a chance to back out now."

Hearing Jane ask this, I knew she still felt insecure.

Too many setbacks and difficulties made her unable to believe that I would sincerely marry her and be faithful to her for life.

A soft smile formed on my face. I stepped forward and gently pulled her into my arms.

I said to her firmly, "Jane, I'm willing to marry you as my wife, and I will never regret it."

"Because I love you. For the rest of my life, I'll cherish you like a treasure, purely because of love, nothing else."

"So rest assured and put your life in my hands."

I held Jane's hand and spoke to her affectionately.

Jamie, who was standing nearby, immediately picked up on the moment and jumped in, playing along with the perfect timing. He clapped first, then got the rest of his team to join in.

"Amazing, Mr. Lopez, you and Mrs. Lopez are showing off your love."

"So sweet, so sweet! Kiss her!"

Faced with everyone's cheering, I didn't hesitate. I pulled Jane into my arms, then lowered my head and kissed her red lips deeply.

My wedding with Jane went smoothly. When I held Jane's hand and walked before the minister, I knew that from this moment on, the burden on my shoulders had grown heavier.

I was no longer just living for myself. For the rest of my life, I would stand by Jane, protect her, give her a steady, unwavering sense of security, along with a love that would never fade.

Three years passed in the blink of an eye. The Lopez mansion was now filled with laughter, warmth, and a constant sense of life. On the lawn, our two children ran around freely, their bright laughter echoing through the air as they played without a care.

Clara sat in her wheelchair, watching her great-grandchildren run around the grass with a smile.

And Jane stood beside me, holding a cup of warm coffee. Her smile was calm and genuine. She looked healthy, at ease and full of life.

I turned to her at the right moment, "Honey, are you happy?"

She nodded at me and answered, "Happy. I'm really happy. Andrew, thank you for giving me a happy life."

Hearing that, I pulled her into my arms and held her tightly as if I never wanted to let go.

At that moment, I knew I had finally secured the happiness we had fought so hard for. Looking at the love of my life in my arms and the children running in the distance, I knew those dark clouds had completely cleared. Because of Jane, my life was no longer incomplete. Everything had finally fallen into place.
