He Doesn't Needs A Wife, He Has Found His Mate
Carson's POV
I heard the sounds of birds chirping loudly and I hissed frustratedly looking at my phone and I wondered why it had not buzzed up yet.
I was not able to get in touch with Bethany the other night and I have been worried wondering where to go and I even went to her place but her grandmother says that she hasn't been home and that she might have gone to have fun with her friends.
Fun? What kind of fun did she have that she has not deemed fit to call me?
I got out of my bed sluggishly and since I did not sleep a wink the other night I was a little bit tired.
Don't worry mate would be fine, Cuss assured and I sighed hoping so but she sure was going to get an earful from me when she later called.
I got dressed for work with the thought of branching at the school to check on Bethany since I could not get her out of my mind.
I descended the stairs making my way outside but my mother's voice stopped me.
"Come sit for breakfast," she says. I rolled my eyes knowing it was going to be more than just breakfast.
I know she was going to ask me about the girl from the other night and she did not disappoint me.
"What did you say to Sharon, the last night?" My mother asked immediately if I was dragging my chair to take a seat and I smiled at my dad who was sipping his tea. "Good morning Dad," I greeted and he returned my greeting but it was a bit too prolonged so my Mom would not get angry.
"You still have not answered my question, what did you tell Sharon last night?" My mother reminded me and I have no other choice than to talk.
"Sharon? Is that her name?" I asked and I heard Leo chuckle but he stopped immediately Mom glared at him. "Yes, her name is Sharon, so start talking," she said and I sighed.
"I did not say anything to her, it's just that when she asked me to sleep with her, I refused," I said, shrugging my shoulders and I heard Leo gasping. "She did?" He asked and I also saw my Dad look at me in anticipation to hear the whole gist.
"Yes, and she even suggested the restroom. Now thinking about it. I think they should make all restrooms spacious enough only for one person," I say and Dad and Leo burst into laughter but Mom's expression was ghastly.
"I was wrong. I do not know she is that kind of girl…how are we going to find you a wife now," my mom says and I sigh wondering why she is not over the talk yet.
"Wife? Why does he need that when he has found his mate," Leo says, stuffing his mouth with food and I sigh berating her big mouth.
"What did you mean your brother has found his mate?" My mother asked, raising her voice and I saw Leo jolted in fear and I sighed giving my dad a 'why don't you calm your wife down' look.
I knew my mom would be so dramatic finding out about Bethany and that was the reason I did not tell them anything. I knew they were going to react this way.
"So you mean you finally found your mate but you did not deem it fit to tell me knowing how worried I have been over it," she said glaring at me and I just rolled my eyes at her.
She is too dramatic.
"Whose daughter is she? Is she someone I know? What does she do?" My mother started asking lots of questions that were starting to give me a headache.
Is she interviewing someone for a job right now? Why do I have to answer so many questions just because I found my mate? I thought and I decided to just leave the living room since I lost my appetite.
"Where are you going? You still haven't replied to my questions?" My mom yelled behind me but I did not care to bother her and I heard her asking Leo about the details.
"What she is a school nurse? You mean Carson's mate is a measly school nurse!" I heard my mother and my steps halted hearing how she just described and I couldn't help but feel offended. What was she up to?
I turned around in anger and I slammed my hands on the table hearing my mother still kept berating Bethany and I could not take it anymore.
"Stop this madness, please!" I yelled my veins bulging out and I could feel Cuss equally angry just like me. "Stop this madness already Mom!" I growled and I saw my mother looking at me in shock.
"What are you doing, Carson!" I heard my father roar angrily, probably wondering why I was talking to my mother, who was his mate in that manner.
I looked towards my dad with an apologetic look but that does not mean I was going to let them insult Bethany, no I was not going to allow that.
"You are raising your voice at me because of a school nurse?" My mother asked, slamming her hands on the table and she stared at me angrily.
"She is not just any girl, she is my mate!" I yelled making my stance known but I saw my mother scoff.
"What? Just because you could not stand someone talking trash about her you think it's love? Just because I was bad-mouthing you think that is respect, right?" My mother asked and I wondered why she was asking me that.
"The truth is you do not respect the girl, Carson," my mother says and I scoffed wondering why she would say that when she doesn't know anything about my relationship with Bethany. "How can you say that, hun? You don't even know anything about us," I say and my mother nods her head.
"Yes, you are right I do not know anything, that is the reason I am saying this because if you do respect why am I just hearing about her, are you ashamed of her?" She taunts and her question throws me off guard.
"I do…I…," I stammered not being able to get the right word out of my mouth and I wondered what was going on.
Why can I defend myself?
