It's Normal After All

The Godfather’s brow furrowed, his fingers idly stroking his chin as he contemplated the perplexing turn of events. It was widely known that Salvatore was a man devoid of emotions, his training having molded him into an unyielding force within their organization. He did not understand why his son was so sensitive when it came to this particular girl.

As the realization settled in, the Godfather grappled with his conflicting thoughts. Dahlia was nothing more than a mere object of desire, a plaything to satiate Aurelio’s carnal urges. That had been his assumption. But with each passing action of Salvatore’s, he couldn’t help but wonder if there was something deeper at play.

“No!” the Godfather exclaimed, his voice filled with a mixture of determination and concern. “That can never happen. I cannot allow a woman to jeopardize the future of our clan.”

Anastasia, always attentive to her master’s desires, chimed in, offering a possible solution. “If she poses a threat, I can take care of her, Master. That is, if it is your wish.”

“I need to think,” the Godfather responded, his mind swirling with conflicting thoughts. He waved his hand dismissively, signaling for Anastasia to leave his presence and give him space to contemplate.

Sitting alone at his grand table, the Godfather pondered the implications of a woman infiltrating his plans for Salvatore’s ascent to power. His vision for the clan’s future was unwavering, and he couldn’t afford any distractions or obstacles along the way.

Meanwhile, news of the harrowing incident involving Dahlia reached Merino, who was sitting at a nearby table. Shock coursed through his veins, causing him to spring up from his seat in alarm. “What?! The girl was almost raped?” he exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.

Killian, nonchalantly sipping from his bottle while being entertained by a twerking lady, nodded in confirmation. “Yeah, Salvatore stepped in and saved her.”

Concern etched across his face, Merino inquired about Dahlia’s well-being. Kathryn raised an eyebrow, noting the change in Merino’s demeanor. “Is it just me, or are you starting to care about her?” she asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.

Merino rolled his eyes, dismissing Kat’s observation. “She just seems so familiar,” he muttered to himself, his tone laced with curiosity. “Just answer me.” He sought answers, desperate to understand the feelings that stirred within him.

“I heard that Salvatore ordered for her to be brought to the torture room when she comes to”.

Killian’s words sent a chill down Merino’s spine. The thought of Dahlia being brought to the torture room upon waking up made his blood run cold. The protectiveness he felt towards her was unwavering, and he couldn’t stand idly by while harm befell her.

“Rino, baby, Mind grabbing a drink with me?” Anastasia purred seductively, attempting to divert his attention away from Dahlia.

Without a second thought, Merino brushed her aside, not allowing her advances to sway him from his mission. He swiftly left the hall, determined to find Dahlia and ensure her safety.

Anastasia, filled with frustration and anger, cursed under her breath at Merino’s dismissal. She couldn’t understand why he had become so fixated on a mere woman, undermining her allure and power.

Meanwhile, Adala wandered the hallways with her head down, lost in her thoughts. Despite Salvatore’s orders to continue serving the guests, her mind was consumed with worry for Dahlia. The animosity towards Dahlia from those around her perplexed Adala. She couldn’t comprehend why everyone seemed to despise her so intensely.

Still preoccupied with her thoughts, Adala accidentally bumped into a solid chest, nearly losing her balance. Instinctively, her hand reached out and grasped onto the person’s shirt to steady herself. Looking up, her eyes widened in shock when she saw that the person was none other than Ponce.

Stumbling backward in fear, Adala attempted to flee, but Ponce seized her wrist, his grip firm and unyielding. Pressing her against the wall, he sneered at her, his anger palpable.

“You…” Ponce spat out, his voice dripping with disdain.

Terrified and trembling, Adala pleaded for mercy, her words tumbling out in a frantic rush. “I’m sorry, Sir! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to bump into you! I was just startled by your nakedness, and I thought you intended to harm me. I acted out of self-defense!” Her plea hung in the air, desperate and filled with fear.

Ponce’s eyes narrowed, studying Adala’s trembling form. His grip on her wrist tightened momentarily before he released her, stepping back slightly. His gaze showed a flicker of disbelief, mixed with a hint of curiosity.

“You think self preservation is more important than my life and the possibly severe injury you could have created?”.

His furious voice echoed through the corridor, his face contorted in amused anger as he addressed Adala. She couldn’t help but close her eyes tightly, bracing herself for the onslaught of his anger.

“I’m sorry… I’m really sorry,” She squealed, her words strained and filled with fear.

Unbeknownst to them, Jade happened to be passing by at that exact moment. Her eyes widened in shock as she witnessed the intense scene unfolding before her. Her grip tightened around the plates she was carrying, her knuckles turning white, as she glared at both Ponce and Adala. Without uttering a word, she walked away, her thoughts filled with disbelief.

Ponce’s furious gaze bore into Adala, his anger still simmering beneath the surface. He gritted his teeth, his voice dripping with malice. “You should consider yourself lucky. Your importance within this clan is the only reason why I haven’t disposed of you.”

Adala nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. “I understand. I am truly sorry.”

Ponce hissed, releasing his grip on her wrist. Though his face reverted to its usual cold expression, the intensity of his anger lingered in his eyes. “Clean up the mess you left in my room. And if you dare break anything else… there will be consequences.”

Adala watched silently as Ponce turned to walk away, her heart pounding in her chest. Unable to suppress the urge, she cleared her throat timidly, catching his attention.

He cast a sidelong glance at her, his signature aloofness returning. “What is it?” he asked curtly.

Adala summoned her courage and spoke softly, her voice laced with a touch of mischief. “Um, sir, I happen to know of a very skilled doctor who specializes in men’s genital problems. Perhaps he could assist you with your… issues. There’s no need to be embarrassed about having an oversized ego. It’s normal, after all.” She punctuated her statement with a cute smile, hoping to lighten the tension that had filled the air as she gestured at his nether regions.

Ponce was momentarily taken aback, his expression turning blank as he processed Adala’s words. A profound silence settled between them as he struggled to find the appropriate response, finally uttering a single word, “…”
