Chapter 49 Vivian’s Anger

Chapter 49 Vivian’s Anger

The news of Olivia taking on everyone quickly spread throughout Continent B.

The Ironblood Corps' reputation grew even stronger, and for a while, no one dared to mess with them.

Olivia could finally return to City A with peace of mind.

Olivia's life got better and better, with everything going smoothly, and so did Vivian's.

The Wells family had few heirs to begin with, and now she had demonstrated two special talents at once.

So even though she wasn't their biological child, the Wells family changed their attitude toward her and showered her with affection.

Vivian was now already in charge of all the Wells family's business in the southwest region.

In her office, Vivian was buried in documents, looking serious and focused.

Suddenly, her phone on the desk lit up with a message from Emma:

[Will Master Campbell's painting be ready next week? I happen to have a party to attend.]

Seeing this message, Vivian immediately frowned, so annoyed that she couldn't even continue her work.

Frowning, she opened her chat with Greg. The conversation was stuck at Greg asking her to paint another picture, which he would then use as inspiration to create a painting for Emma.

It wasn't that Vivian couldn't paint, but her painting style was worlds apart from Olivia's.

These past few days, she had tried countless times to imitate Olivia's painting style, but the results were deeply disappointing.

And with Vivian taking so long to produce a painting, Greg would naturally become suspicious.

After all, he had seen Vivian create a painting with deep meaning in just one hour during a livestream.

Vivian was well aware of this, but she really couldn't paint like Olivia.

Given her relationship with Olivia, it was absolutely impossible for her to ask Olivia to paint another picture for her.

For a moment, Vivian felt like she had dug herself into a hole she couldn't fill.

At the same time, Vivian's level in artificial intelligence was also starting to make the professor who had specially recruited her to Washington University suspicious.

While Vivian was already stressed out about how to get a painting done, the AI professor came asking her to prepare the robot from the last AI competition:

[Vivian, prepare well for the robot you want to upgrade. At our next department meeting, I'm having you close the show.]

Seeing this message, Vivian wanted to squeeze her head with both hands until she stopped thinking.

But no matter how much she rubbed her head, the problems before her only made her heart race faster.

After thinking for a while, Vivian suppressed her surging emotions, took a deep breath, and replied to the AI professor:

[Okay, professor. It's just that I want to improve the robot to perfection, so I might not make it in time for the meeting. It would be better if you closed the show.]

If Vivian barely knew how to paint, when it came to artificial intelligence, she truly had nothing.

She couldn't even tell apart those complex material names, or distinguish between various smart materials that looked almost identical but were actually worlds apart.

So she could only try to delay.

But the AI professor had great confidence in her and sent her another encouraging message, insisting she close the show.

After seeing the message, Vivian threw her phone at the wall, smashing it to pieces.

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Why is everyone pushing me! Why!?"

At this moment, Vivian looked completely crazy, with no trace of a wealthy family's young lady.

But she quickly calmed down.

Because everything she currently had was obtained by winning the favor of these two big shots.

So no matter what conditions they proposed, she had to try her best to meet them.

Only this way could she firmly establish herself in the Wells family, and even inherit everything from this family in the future.

Vivian slowly walked to the floor-to-ceiling window and looked down at the busy workers below.

This feeling of looking down on everyone seemed to fascinate her and calm her down.

After watching for a while, Vivian showed a determined smile:

"There are so many people in the world, and I have money. What kind of painting can't I find someone to paint? What kind of robot can't I find someone to make?"

The more she thought about it, the more feasible it seemed, and Vivian suddenly burst out laughing.

Suddenly, her face twisted viciously:

"Olivia! I don't believe billions of people can't compare to just one of you!"

With that, Vivian walked proudly to her desk, picked up the phone, and asked the front desk to send her a new phone.

After getting the phone, she immediately posted online offering millions for painting geniuses and AI talents.

Because the money offered was generous enough, Vivian's inbox was quickly flooded with resumes from various talents.

Vivian sneered with disdain:

"What painting geniuses, what AI talents—in front of money, they're all worthless!"

After handling these two major problems, Vivian returned to the Wells family with a gentle smile.

As soon as she saw Emma, she rushed forward to please her:

"Mom, there's no problem with next week's party. As soon as I mentioned it to Master Campbell, he immediately agreed."

Emma's eyes lit up at this news.

Just as Emma was about to say something, the doctor who had done the paternity test for Olivia, whom Vivian had secretly met at the hospital a few days ago, walked toward them.

Seeing this, Vivian quickly made an excuse about going to the bathroom and escaped.

She didn't want to give Emma any evidence to suspect her.

Although Vivian said she was leaving, her body was quite honest as she hid behind the door eavesdropping.

Then Vivian heard Emma's slightly disappointed voice:

"No blood relation... You may go."

Hearing this, Vivian almost laughed out loud.

Switching out the hair sample for Olivia's paternity test was absolutely the right thing to do.

But her smile hadn't lasted more than a few seconds when Emma in the room started talking to herself again:

"How can there be no blood relation? She's practically my younger self!"

"No, I don't believe it!"

"I must investigate this thoroughly. Maybe the person handling it was careless and mixed up that child's hair."

With each sentence Emma muttered to herself, Vivian's face outside the door stiffened a bit more.

By the end, Vivian only had a smile on her face that looked worse than crying.

"Olivia! It's Olivia again! Why does Olivia always want to go against me!"

"Wouldn't it be nice to just be an orphan? Why compete in painting, in robotics, and even show your face on TV! Why don't you just die!"

"Yes, if Olivia dies, everything can be easily resolved..."

Vivian muttered crazily to herself, and she actually thought of a way to completely eliminate the threat.

However, she had no idea who exactly this Olivia she wanted to kill really was.
