Chapter 21

Bella felt her heart sink at his words. She didn’t understand why he would say that. “What do you mean ‘or I will return to my coven?’” She said to him

“Well you are barely a werewolf and you know we aren’t welcome to witches. It was bad enough that my daughter took that man as a witch but having you here without having any werewolf abilities makes the back uncomfortable. We are making room and trying to accept you but it is hard when you are doing nothing for us in return.”

He said to her and she felt her jaw tighten at his words. “so, what do you want me to be your power source? Is it not enough that I am your granddaughter!” she yelled out to her through gritted teeth. He shrugged his shoulders at her as he leaned in close. “Well the choice is yours. Either you protect us or you return to your witch coven.” he said to her in a challenging tone.

“What type of protection would you like at the border?” she asked him through gritted teeth as she knew that she would have no choice but to do it. She knew that she could never trust him and she also knew that she couldn’t put it past him to put some type of loop hole in the agreement.

“Well a simple spell really. One that would mean that each time a rogue or an unauthorized old tried to cross out borders they would be killed instantly and we would be alerted through you.” he said to her.

“So, you want me to be your living security system so you know how madly that would affect me.” she said to bring and she knew that he was aware but it was clear to her of the fact that she simply didn’t care.

He let out a sigh. “Well there is none way to change that would be for you to shift before your birthday.” He said to her and she glared back at him because they both knew that it was impossible for her to shift before the morning came.

“May I go?” She asked through gritted teeth and she watched as he grinned clearly happy that he had been able to rile her up and he nodded his head at her before he excused her. “Just remember what I said and choose wisely”

She didn’t bother to answer him as she continued to make her way out of the room. Her thoughts were all over the place as she tried to think about what he had said to her. She couldn’t believe that he would say something like that about her. She let out a sigh from her lips at the very thought of it.

She began making her journey back towards her home as she found herself considering what he had suggested for a moment. She didn’t want to be a weapon. she didn’t know why her life had to be like this.

She was passing through the training ground when she heard a voice behind her and she immediately tensed up.

“Oh look ,it's the outcast!” Bella heard and she cursed under her breath. She turned around to see Nicole standing there.

“what? why are you in such a sour mood?” she asked and Bella only rolled her eyes as she watched as the others stopped training and made their way around her. “Not in the mood Nicole. Leave me alone” she said to her through gritted teeth. She heard as she let out a light laugh at her words. “And what if I don’t want to? What are you going to do? Are you going to wolf out on me.” she said and she heard the others let out loud laughter from their mouths.

Bella realty wasn’t in the mood. “I wonder why alpha still keeps you and you loser dad around. You both are nothing more than inconveniences to the pack.” she spat and Bella felt her eyes prick at her words.

“What are you going to do? Cry? Don’t you have some spell to fire back.” She said to her mockingly and Bella felt something inside her snap. “Do you know what I am done with this.” Bella said as she turned around and was about to leave when she felt someone grab a hold of her shoulder.

She went into instinct mode as she was able to flip Nicole over as she pressed her body to the ground. Her eyes turned golden as she looked towards her with a warning glare. “Don’t do that again.” she said and she heard Nicole say shakingly. “You know that you will never belong here.” she said to her.

Without warning Bella pulled away from her as she closed her eyes and hurried out of there . she rematerialized in her room and she heard Nicole’s words continue to ring through her head. She didn’t want to admit it but she was well away from the fact that the words that Nicole had spoken were nothing more than the truth. She let out a sigh from her lips at the thought before shaking her head as she didn’t want to think about it.

She looked around her room as she fell to the ground as ns she felt as the weight of everything that had happened finally weighed in on her. She didn’t know why she was given this life and she wondered when she would finally find a place to fit in.
