Chapter 305 Filing a Complaint

Chapter 305 Filing a Complaint

Betty frowned.

She had come from Quadrangle Court and gone straight to the kitchen to help watch the medicine pot. She never expected a servant to run over just now saying Aurora had fainted.

Aurora always had the habit of taking afternoon naps. This was exactly the time when she would take her medicine and then sleep.

She had gone straight back to Quintuple Court after lunch, so why had she suddenly gone to Quadrangle Court again?

Suppressing her doubts, she asked in a serious tone, "What happened? How did my mom suddenly faint when she was perfectly fine?"

Claire pressed her lips together and pretended to think for two seconds, just opening her mouth.

But before she could speak, Miranda beside her couldn't hold back anymore and told an exaggerated version of what they had seen.

Rachel was outrageous and unreasonable, completely disrespecting Aurora, trying to drive a wedge between Aurora and Benjamin, and mocking Aurora openly and subtly.

Miranda happened to have called her mom and Jacob over, and they just happened to hear her account.

"What? That Rachel actually dared to be so arrogant?! What well-educated?! She's just an ill-mannered, classless divorced woman! Who does she think she is? How dare she challenge Mrs. Wright?"

Benjamin's aunt started cursing passionately, not caring about her image at all.

Benjamin's uncle Jacob's expression also looked bad.

He looked at Miranda and asked, suppressing his anger. "Is everything you said true?"

Miranda had always been favored at home and wasn't afraid of him at all. She nodded angrily. "Of course! Would I falsely accuse her?! Dad, you have no idea. I originally wanted to help Aunt, but she had the nerve to force Aunt to apologize to her.

Later when my cousin came, her arrogant attitude was disgusting. My cousin was really stupid too, actually taking her side against Aunt. Aunt was so angry her whole body shook, her eyes rolled back and she fainted.

Guess what? My cousin was going to help Aunt up, but that Rachel forcibly dragged him away, not caring whether Aunt lived or died."

Aurora's other niece also chimed in.

The two girls cooperated very well.

Claire listened silently, trying hard to suppress the corners of her mouth from turning up.

This was also a good outcome.

When sending Aurora back to Quintuple Court, she had said a few guiding and explanatory words along the way with a worried expression, and even told Miranda to go to Jessica's courtyard to complain to her parents.

She wanted to bring the Rivera Family people over, and then use Miranda's words to spread the story.

She had just been worrying about what to do if the two of them didn't understand her meaning.

Fortunately, it worked.

Betty listened from the side, frowning continuously.

In this household, besides Benjamin, she was the person who had the most and longest contact with Rachel.

She knew very clearly that Rachel wasn't the kind of person Miranda described.

Never mind misunderstandings or not, she knew these two cousins' personalities quite well. Without even guessing, she knew that only a very small part of these words were true, and the rest were made up.

Betty instinctively looked at Claire, who had been present at the scene.

Seeing her looking like she wanted to say something but couldn't get a word in, Betty frowned again. Before she could speak, the family doctor came out from inside.

"Mrs. Wright had an emotional fainting spell. Her emotions were too agitated, causing a sudden drop in blood pressure, slowed heart rate, and insufficient blood supply to the brain, which triggered a brief fainting episode."

"Is it serious? When will she wake up?" Betty pressed.

The family doctor said, "Mrs. Wright has already woken up. However, Mrs. Wright's mental state is a bit confused now, and her energy is also insufficient.

She needs more rest, and her emotions need to stabilize. She can't get angry again, or it could easily trigger her original mental illness."

Everyone's expressions became serious. They couldn't be bothered to be angry at Rachel anymore and all rushed inside to see Aurora.

Aurora's mental illness was mainly caused by memory confusion.

Occasionally she would also mistake people for others.

It was just that things had been better these past few years, and her episodes had become fewer and fewer.

Today she had originally just wanted to pretend to be sick, but ended up actually getting sick from anger.

Because Jessica was getting older and had less energy, after sitting in the living room for half an hour, she went back to her room to take a short nap.

She had just laid down for less than ten minutes when a servant came to report that Aurora had suddenly fainted.

Her expression unchanged, she called over the caretaker who looked after her daily needs, "Go over and see what happened, and check on her condition."

The caretaker agreed and hurried to Quintuple Court.

After hearing Miranda's account of what happened, she just frowned slightly. She didn't show anything based on their one-sided story, and instead turned to ask the family doctor about Jessica's current physical condition.

After understanding the situation well enough, she lectured these young women.

Today was Jessica's birthday, and there were still many guests at home. Although they were all relatively close friends and relatives, the Wright Manor hadn't had visitors for many years.

No one wanted the Wright family to fall into trouble because of this incident.

So this matter couldn't be made public.

On the way back to Quadrangle Court, she specifically asked several servants, and seeing that no servants had witnessed what happened, she truthfully told Jessica.

Jessica's expression was unclear. She asked wearily, "Where are Benjamin and Rachel?"

"They went somewhere else," the caretaker replied. "Do you need me to call Mr. Wright and Ms. Davis back?"

Jessica waved her hand, "Calling them back like this would make the guests suspicious. Benjamin and Rachel are both smart people, and they're not the type to make a fuss.

I'm old, and some things are beyond my ability. Tell Philip about these matters. He and Benjamin will handle it properly."

With that, she lay back down.

After taking Rachel away, Benjamin led her to the glass greenhouse that Jessica had specially designed for flowers and plants.

This courtyard used a collision of two completely different style elements - modern and traditional. Seeing it for the first time could really make one's eyes light up.

The greenhouse had 17 varieties of flowers, five or six of which Rachel didn't recognize. She only learned about them after the servant who specially tended the greenhouse introduced them.

"If you like them, you can come pick a bouquet to take home tonight."

Rachel turned to look at the man with the cool tone and asked with amusement, "Isn't this Mrs. Wright's greenhouse? Can you make that decision?"

Benjamin met her gaze. Those eyes that held an innate pride and coldness now showed obvious traces of amusement.

He said, "Grandma isn't that petty."

Rachel nodded, "True. But I don't need to pick them myself. They'll have ready-made ones. Just have them wrap a bouquet for me before we leave."

She was still talking when a servant hurried over and said, "Mr. Wright, Ms. Davis, Mrs. Wright has fainted."
