Chapter 140 - Together


“Come on, Theo.” I take his hand and we walk to my room. I open the door slowly, revealing my small but cozy room. Light from the moon spills through the window, bathing everything in a soft blue hue.

“Welcome to my room,” I say warmly. He looks around carefully with curious eyes, and I can’t help but laugh at his reaction. “Do you like it?”

He draws me close before answering. “It’s lovely.” His arms wrap around me tight and he nuzzles his head against mine before kissing me tenderly on the lips. “I really missed you.”

I push back and grin at him. “Well, I missed you more.”

I take a step back from him and remove my clothes. He watches me as I peel every piece of clothing in my body. He looks at me with such devotion that it makes me blush.

“I think it’s about time you bare yourself to me too.”

“Nope, I enjoy seeing you like this.”

“Like what? Naked and embarrassed?”

“No. Looking at me with desire in your eyes.”

Theo takes a step closer and runs his hand down my naked back, sending shivers through my body. “You have no idea how much I desire you now,” he murmurs before pressing his lips to mine in a hungry kiss.

My fingers tangle in his hair as I pull him closer. I melt into him, wrapping my arms around his neck as our tongues dance together. Our bodies are pressed against each other, heat and desire building between us.

He lifts me up effortlessly and carries me to the bed, laying me down gently before climbing on top of me.

“I want to make love to you,” he says, his voice thick with desire.

My heart races at his words, and I nod eagerly. “And I want to make love to you, too.”

Theo smiles, the corners of his eyes crinkling in delight.

“Then let’s make love,” he says, trailing kisses down my neck and chest.

His touch sends electricity through me, making me moan softly. He takes his time exploring every inch of my body, taking care to lavish attention on my sensitive spots. As he kisses and nibbles my skin, I feel the tension building inside me, coiling tighter and tighter until I can hardly bear it.

“I need you,” I whisper, bucking my hips against his.

Theo chuckles, his warm breath tickling my skin. “Patience, my love,” he says.

He continues to worship my body, paying close attention to every part of me. His hands roam over my curves, his lips leaving a trail of fire everywhere they touch.

He continues to kiss and caress me, working me up into a frenzy of desire. My fingers dig into his shoulders as I gasp and moan, unable to hold back my pleasure any longer. His own desire evident, Theo moves to position himself between my thighs, ready to take me.

With a deep breath, he enters me slowly, stretching me to the limits of pleasure. Our eyes meet and we both know that we are together, and suddenly, there it is, disgust fills me up that I push him away from me. The same disgust that overwhelms me when I was trying to mate with Klevon.

I look at him, embarrassed. “Sorry,” I whisper. “My mate bond with Seth is preventing me from making love to you,” I say in a low voice.

He keeps quiet as he looks at me. I move closer to him and touch his chest. “I just forgotten it because I missed you so much, Theo.”

This time, he grins. “I am equally to blame. I mean, this is the reason we need to break our mate bond, just so you can copulate with Klevon.”

I reach for his cheeks and caress them. “I still want you though,” I whisper. “You have no idea how bad I want to make love to you now.”

“And I feel the same, but should we sleep on it in the meantime?”

I nod. “That is the best thing to do, I guess.”

Theo kisses me tenderly. We both lay back and cuddle until my heart rate slows down and I drift off to sleep.



I wake up the next morning with a light touch on my cheeks. I open my eyes to find Theo looking down at me with a loving smile.

“Good morning, my love,” he says softly.

I smile back and reach up to kiss him. We lie there in each other’s arms for a few moments, basking in each other’s nearness.

“I’m glad you are here,” I murmur against his chest. No more lavender scent, but I still love his smell the same.

“I’m glad I am here too.”

“I want to be with you in Pitchford. But right now, I can’t. Days like these with you, I don’t want it to end the instant the Moon Goddess walks this land.”

“You explained that well enough.”

“Do you know how hard it is to be apart from you, and having another mate that’s very close to me?”

He keeps quiet this time.

“I admit that I am very much attracted to Seth, but I also know that it’s only because of the mate bond.”

“Well, he is a King and even if I hate to admit it, he is good-looking.”

I turn to look at him and cage his face in my hands. “And I love you, Theo. I don’t want to hurt you. Moreover, it’s you I want to stay with forever.”

He grins. He pins me on the bed and places a kiss between my eyes. “Don’t say such endearing words to me early in the morning, my dear Kaiya. You know that it’s hard for me to resist you.”

I roll him over so that he is under me. “I should say the same to you,” I admit.

And without a warning, I kiss his neck, to his collarbones and down his chest. He moans as I continue to kiss his chest, down his stomach, before finally stopping my lips from exploring further down.

He grins at me, “I’m not sure if I should thank you or curse you for stopping,” he says, looking darkly at me.

I laugh. “Depends on how you handle it.”

And so, I continue to kiss his abdomen, lower and lower, until he groans and tightens his grip on me.

“Kaiya, stop. I can’t take it anymore.”

I look up at him, my eyes twinkling. “Well, I’m sure you’ll manage,” I say before placing my tongue on his tender spot.

He groans, and when I lick him, he trembles. I smile before putting him into my mouth, and when I did, he gasps in surprise, sending shivers up his body.

I continue to pleasure him, licking and sucking, until his breathing becomes erratic. I can feel his pleasure radiating through my body, and it delights me knowing that I am doing this to him as well, just as how he makes me feel.

Eventually, he explodes in passion. “Oh damn, Kaiya!” he screams.

Wiping my mouth, I say, “See? You did manage.”

“I did, but you almost killed me.”

I move up to him and kiss his neck. My hands roaming his body again.

“Wait, Kaiya.”

He cups my face, and I look into his eyes. I can see a million emotions in them.

“What is it?”

He caresses my face and cups my chin with his hands. “I love you,” he whispers.

My heart skips a beat, and I grin at him. “If you love me, should we continue?” I ask and kiss his neck again.

He chuckles this time. “You sound and act like someone who needs to own her lover because she is very jealous.”

I pause. “Yes, I am.”

“What is it?”

“Yes, Theo, I am very worried. Unlike me, you have women in your harem who vies for your attention. And I am very jealous because I want to be with you as well. But I can’t do that, because of this looming death,” I say softly.

He takes me into his arms and kisses my forehead. “Kaiya, no one can take your place.”

“Still, the fact that they are with you, I can’t help but make use of our moments together.”

“I guess it’s the same for both of us. With us apart, I can’t help but feel jealous of the people close to you, while wishing that I am beside you instead.”

I snuggle in the crook of his neck. “Let’s stay like this for a while, Theo. I want to feel your warmth.”

He trails his fingers down my spine and whispers. “It’s the same with me, Kaiya. It’s the same.”
