Her Father and Mother

Her Father and Mother
Alea's POV

I took the Obsidian Heart back to the relics room back at the refugees camp. Everyone was so glad that I was back, even the Elder hugged me because I had done so well.

“I didn't think Dera could turn out like that” The Elder said, also hurt by Dera's betrayal. She was supposed to be family but she turned her back on us, and worked for Alucard.

Heck! We didn't even know how long she had worked for Alucard.

“I'm sorry Elder. She's part of the family but will have to be punished for colliding with a traitor” I said, letting him know that Dera couldn't be scared because she's one of us. My blood. Our blood.

I wouldn't be killing her, as well as Alucard but they will still get punished according to how grave their offence is.

“I know, Alea. It's up to you to decide their fate” The Elder said and exited the hallway while I took in a deep breath.

They prepared lunch, and made it a feast to celebrate the victory of getting the traitors that had been troubling them for years.

Alucard had just appeared in my life a few weeks ago, but it turned out she had been entwined with my life right from when I was a kid. She had killed my father as they had said, and had made me lose my mother.

Yet she had the guts to show up in my face again to torment me by taking something away from me. Kairo.

I went to the cell where Alucard was locked up. I had told Raven to get them locked up in different cells when we get them.

Alucard was seated with her eyes closed, and her hands on her thighs. She was meditating. A chuckle from me made her open her eyes as she stared at me. Not like she would kill me if she could, but like someone who was calm and had resigned to fate.

“Are you here to kill me?” She asked, so calm that she even turned her gaze away from me, relaxed.

“No, here to hear you tell me a story” I said, and she looked up at me again, wondering what I was getting to.

“My father” I paused and a smirk curled up her face. “Would you like to tell me how and why you killed him?” I asked and she chuckled for half a second before tilting her head, staring at me in awe.

“I killed him?” She asked, cold yet relaxed.

“Didn’t you?” I asked, my gaze darkening. She was trying to play games with me at the moment.

She moved closer, her hands now resting on the floor in front of me. She could have grabbed the iron door guiding the cell but I figured out she must have tried it but realized she couldn't even touch it.

Just a sprinkle of my powers was on the iron door, Alucard wouldn't be able to touch it let alone open it to flee or wreak another havoc.

“Yes. I killed him” she said and I felt my blood boil, my throat tightening as adrenaline coursed through my veins.

This demon here had something to tell me about my Dad and Dera had something about my mom. Every single detail with them was what I would be sure to get.

“With poison” she said, making me fold my fist in anger. I didn't know the man, never met him, but I could feel it in me how hurt I was.

“I was planning my attack on your Mom, planning with other people on how I'd take the powers I acquired through the Obsidian Heart, but your father was unlucky enough to find out about our plan” Alucard explained, and as much as I wanted to hear the rest of what she had to say, I so much wanted from strangle her here and now.

She deserves to be killed.

She doesn't deserve to be allowed to live.

“He threatened me, telling me he'd let things slide if I promised to stop and I gave him that promise, that I'd stop. I even begged him on my knees not to tell the elders and your mother” she laughed.

“But I had no intentions of stopping and I couldn't trust your father with that secret, so I set him up, poisoned him and turned it all into suicide. So Azura, your father killed himself” I tightened my folded fist, and couldn't hold myself back from hurting Alucard.

I summoned my power into my hands and pushed her to the back of the wall with it. She fell so much that the wall cracked a bit.

Then I tried calming myself down by closing my eyes and when I opened them, she laughed. Blood spilling from her mouth.

“Your father did an abomination by killing himself” She said again, making me grit my teeth.

“How many people have you murdered so far, Alucard?” That wasn't a question. “Karma would surely catch up with you, and I, Alea, will make sure you suffer” I said, and with that left to Dera's cell.

Her cell was one which had her locked in, without any space to see what's going on outside.

I took the key from one of the guards guarding the cell and opened the door, then entered only to see her staring at the only place sunlight seeped into the room. My eyes scanned the room and I saw that her food was untouched.

“Are you here to kill me, or to listen to me about your mother?” She asked.

“She's so sensitive” My wolf told me and I couldn't help but agree that she is. She didn't even look at me yet she knows I'm the one who had entered the cell room.

“Would you be glad if I was here to end your life, or if I was giving you some more time because I want to know about my mother?” I smirked and then she turned to face me.

“She's alive, Azura. She is” She said, her gaze begging like she needed me to believe her.
