Chapter 180: Jealous Griffin

Chapter 180: Jealous Griffin

Aviah's POV

Looking at Griffin, I froze for a moment, not expecting him to show up at such a perfect time.

Right when the male singer had just kissed my hand after I finished singing.

My face flushed red, and I quickly pulled my hand back, lowering my head like a child who'd done something wrong, not daring to look at him.

But soon, I snapped out of it.

Wait, what am I afraid of?

I didn't do anything to betray him. I just sang a song.

What could he possibly do to me?

With that thought, I lifted my head again, looking at him proudly.

Everyone turned to look at us, their eyes gleaming with interest, expressions clearly enjoying the drama.

Fortunately, the male singer reacted quickly. Years of performing had taught him to read the room immediately. "Sir, you clearly look like a successful man with great presence. You must be this lady's husband. Please don't misunderstand—I was just expressing my appreciation for her singing, absolutely no offense intended."

"Ma'am, help me out here. Your husband is so tall and strong, I'm no match for him."

His playful words made me smile. I pouted at Griffin, my voice carrying a hint of stubbornness. "What? I can't sing?"

I let out a light huff. Griffin said nothing, walked up to me, and scooped me up in a princess carry.

As I gasped in surprise, Griffin turned to look at Ethan. "Ethan, let's go. We're heading back."

Then, amid everyone's cheering, Griffin carried me away.

I hit him in frustration, though without much force. "What are you doing? We haven't gotten the prize yet! Singing gets you a free meal, and I sang so well—the prize must be really good."

Griffin kept a straight face and gave my butt a smack. My butt jiggled, and my face turned even redder.

"Looks like I haven't taught you enough of a lesson."

Hearing him say that, I got a little scared, mainly because I could feel something pressing against my thigh near my hip.

"Griffin, I'm warning you, no more sex. My body can't take it."

"Haven't you heard? In sex, only the man gets tired."

I simply started struggling. "Put me down! I have no human rights anymore."

Griffin just set me down, his face showing some anger. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming here? Do you know how worried I was?"

I knew he meant well. After all, I'd just been drugged yesterday. He probably went after Tony and still hasn't caught him by the looks of it.

But I was still unhappy and could only mutter quietly, "Damn Griffin, just you wait. I'm going to put laxatives in your coffee."

"What did you say?" Griffin suddenly leaned in close, his hand giving my butt another smack.

I heard the two kids behind us making teasing sounds. I pushed him away. "Stop fooling around, the kids are watching."

I turned around and picked up Ethan. "Ethan, how was my singing just now?"

Ethan nodded enthusiastically, giving me all the emotional support. "Mommy's singing is the best in the world."

I grinned and kissed his cheek. "You're such a sweet talker."

Griffin picked up Diane as well. "Diane, did you miss me?"

Diane nodded. "Yes, Daddy, Mommy's singing was so beautiful. You haven't heard it yet, have you?"

My face stiffened. "Don't call him Daddy. He's a bad man."

Diane hugged Griffin tighter. "Mommy's lying. When Mommy sleeps, she talks in her sleep and says Daddy's name."

Griffin looked at me with raised eyebrows, his eyes gleaming with delight.

I panicked a bit. "That's impossible! How could I say his name?"

"Diane, tell me, when did your mommy say this? What did she say?"

Diane counted on her little fingers, looking very serious. "When Mommy sleeps and talks in her sleep, she always mentions someone called Ryan, and someone called Raven, and then you."

After speaking, Diane's expression changed, and she covered her mouth with her little hand. "Did I say too much? Daddy, don't overthink it. Mommy likes you the most."

Griffin held back his laughter, pretending to suddenly understand, looking at me. "So your mommy likes three men at the same time? Well then, Diane, should we let your mommy marry all three men?"

Diane tilted her head at him. "Daddy, you're not jealous?"

Griffin pinched her little cheek and kissed her. "Of course not. All three are good men. I have no objection."

Ethan couldn't take it anymore and rolled his eyes. "Mommy, let's go. I can't stand this narcissist."

I nodded in agreement. "Me neither."

With that, I ran forward carrying Ethan.

Diane called out anxiously, "Daddy, hurry up and chase them! I want to be first!"

"Okay, I'll help you pass Mommy."

"Go Daddy!"

In the evening, accompanied by Diane's laughter, I smiled too.

This was the life I truly wanted.

I looked back and saw Edna walking slowly behind us, her face full of contentment. She looked at me like a mother would.

"Daddy, hurry up! Mommy stopped!"

"Okay."

"Mommy, run! Diane's catching up!"

I quickly turned back around. "Okay, let's get first place."

We returned to the hotel, and Griffin clung to me. "Aviah, let's stay together."

Watching him act cute, I was basically immune by now. This Griffin had so many different faces.

I kicked at him. "In your dreams! Go dream about it. I never agreed to be your wife."

"Then why did we have sex together?"

I glared at him. "Those were accidents!"

"What about that time in Aethermoor?"

"Back then I liked Raven, not Griffin."

Griffin smiled. "I am Raven. Whatever identity you want me to be, that's what I am. How about that? If I became an actor, I'd be at the Best Actor level."

"I want you to stay away from me! Tonight I'm sleeping with my kids. You sleep by yourself. Ethan, Diane, let's go."

I pulled the two kids away. On the way, Diane asked me, "Mommy, can we still go diving tomorrow? Diving is so fun."

"Of course we can. Tomorrow I'll take you to do something even more fun."

"Mommy's the best!"

Diane looked back. "Daddy, what are you waiting for? Come on, let's all sleep together as a family."

"Diane, you're amazing! I didn't love you for nothing."

I looked at the shameless Griffin. "You really have no shame."

Griffin was unmoved. "Diane called me. What's there to be ashamed of?"

I ignored him.

Griffin continued on his own. "Oh right, when we get back, how about we change schools for them? Our kids should get the best education, of course."

Talking about this, I nodded. We really should give the two kids the best education.
