Omg! This isn't good!
To avoid being recognized by Hams, I stepped back, pushing the lady standing behind me to go forward, then I lowered my head, eyes fixed on the floor.
“Amy, we are doomed. Hams is here, and I am sure he will recognize me.”
“Oh, snaps!” she gasped, pacing recklessly. “Think, Amelia, think of what to do; you are good at these things.”
Seriously? Nothing is coming to my mind. And I can't lose this opportunity; it is the only chance I've got to get rid of Casper and all of them here.

One of the guests, who is also an Alpha of another pack, remarked, chuckling like an idiot. The way they were all acting, nobody would believe they were Alphas.
“Yes, Alpha Alfonso, wait until you see the rest of the ladies in this town; they are so pretty.”
Pfft. What nonsense.
When Casper snapped his fingers, the butler turned to us and told us to move. I walked towards them, eyes fixed on the floor, praying they wouldn't recognize me.
“You, go over there. And you, over there,”
The butler kept directing the girls to each of the Alphas, but when it came to my turn and I lifted my head, my heart skipped for a second.
Instead of Casper, whom I want to get close to, I was directed to the worst person ever, Hams. Now I am doomed! Hams will surely recognize me.
Fortunately, when I sat beside him on the sofa, he didn't even look at me or wrap his arm around my shoulders like the other Alphas had done.

“What prompted you to build this place like the Packhouse in the Lunskye pack?”

Casper chuckled and removed his hand from the lady’s shoulder. “It is a long story, but I will tell you everything, without leaving anything out.”

“Since the reign of Alpha Brook’s father, I had the dream of becoming an Alpha of that pack someday. Unfortunately, I was the son of a Beta, and that means I will never become an Alpha but a Beta just like my father was.

“How did you know, Leader?”
Casper laughed when Alpha Alfonso asked, “Because I damaged her reproductive organs.”
My eyes snapped vast, heart pounding against my rib cage. Did he do that to my mother? How dare he!
My hands clenched into a fist, and the power swirled in my stomach like a tornado. If not for Amy, who is regulating it in there, I would have unleashed it and killed Casper at this moment.
“I knew that was the perfect moment for me to have my dream come true, and unfortunately, the daughter grew up to want to become an Alpha. Alpha Brook started training her from pre-teen when he discovered what she wanted, so I had no choice but to plan other things.”
