Chapter 37 Untitled Chapter
If they had just arrived at that pack, that means they aren't back in the Lunskye Pack. So where on earth did Axel get his information from? Who told him that the troops were back? And how did he know that the Valtorium Pack members had fled?
“Axel?” Hans scoffed, getting up from the chair.
“If you are still at the Valtorium Pack, how then did the news already get to Alpha Amelia?” the general asked, the same question running in my mind.
“I have no idea, General, but I am sure none of the troops would have informed anyone yet.”
Axel sure has a lot of explaining to do.
As if Hans knew what was running in my mind, he ordered the general to go get Axel. When the dude came in, his eyes drifted from Hans to me nervously, and then he lowered his head.
“The troops, did you send them to the Pack house as I ordered?” I didn't want to get straight to the point, so I would know what nonsense Axel is up to.
“I was on it, Alpha Amelia, but I had to answer your summons first.”
Seriously? I gave him the order like an hour ago, and he is giving this excuse. This dude is messing with the wrong person, and I swear, he won't get away with it this time around.
“Did you see the troops, Axel?” Hans asked, walking towards him, his hands behind him.
“Yes, Alpha Hans, I saw them heading towards the training ground.”
Whoa! So he isn't scared after all. Even with the general standing right there with us, Axel still chose to lie. We shall see what will happen next when he realizes he is making a fool out of himself.
“General Lykon was just on the phone a few seconds ago with the troops, and it turns out they are still in the Valtorium Pack.”
He slightly lifted his head; his eyes widened in shock. Then his hands started trembling, and as usual, sweat gathered on his face.
How does this dude sweat in just a second? It makes me wonder if he had a power that he used to summon the sweat.
“Axel?” Hans grabbed his trembling hand in a grip, looking at him with a smirk.
“What do you take us for, fools?” He thundered, his voice piercing in our ears like loud music.
“I dare not, Alpha Hans, please spare me.”
Gosh!
“Of course you are, little bastard. Now tell me who you are and what your mission in this pack is!” He slammed him on the wall, pinning his neck with his fingers. “Speak now, rogue!”
“I am innocent; please help me, Alpha Amelia.” He cried out in a tight throat, coughing.
Honestly, I didn't care about what Hans would do to him at that moment; he is a suspect, and he must be forced to tell the truth.
“General Lykon?” I called, then signaled to Hans to release Axel. But he didn't until I went to him and pulled his hand away from Axel’s neck.
“Lock him up in prison and torture him until he confesses.”
As he was being dragged out of the office, he kept crying out, saying he was innocent and didn't know what we were talking about.
“Didn't I tell you Axel isn't to be trusted? I literally saw him speaking on the phone with someone, and the woody scent from the manager’s room was what I perceived from him.”
Hans sounded like he was blaming me for everything. But he doesn't understand; I only wanted to keep an eye on that guy.
“Now you see? If he isn't a spy, how did he know that the Valtorium Pack members left?”
“Do not blame me, dude; I know what I am doing.” I snapped at him and left the office.
“What next, Amelia?” Amy yawned as if she had just woken up from a nap, but on the bright side, she was wide awake and had witnessed the whole thing.
“Shall we go to that Pack to see things for ourselves? Who knows, they might not be telling the truth.”
That's impossible. The troops will never lie to the general, who is their leader, not to mention me, their Alpha.
“Axel lied to your face,” she scoffed.
“I know, and do not attack me. Let us just focus on what to do next, girl.” I cut the connection with her when I saw Hans heading towards the parking lot.
The way his shoulders stood in his body-hugging shirt made the memory of our moment an hour ago flush into my mind, and it makes me want to finish what we have started.
When he approached me, he held my waist, lifted my chin, and planted a kiss on my lips.
“What do you say we round this up tonight?” He winked, tucking my hair behind my ear.
I wanted to scream yes, but remembered we were still in the company, and we had bodyguards all over the place.
I lifted my weight on my toes, nibbled on his earlobe, and whispered into his ear.
“Why not now?”
Better that way since we were still in the mood. If we should wait till night, I might have a change of mind, and he will be disappointed.
“We shall do it the way you want,” he winked, opened the door for me, and I got into the car.
The moment we stepped inside the room, Hans turned to me, pinned me to his body, and locked his lips with mine, kissing like one hungry wolf.
We kissed all the way to the bed, I fell on my back, and he climbed on top of me. His hand slid into my top, cascading up to my cleavage, and then his fingers stopped at my tits. I let out a soft moan, clutching the duvet as I shut my eyes in pleasure.
He lifted the top, kissed my belly, then continued that way until he was at my chest. He paused, looked at my eyes that were screaming for him to continue the shit, and he kissed my cleavage.
“Are you sure you want this?” he asked, gently sliding his thumb on my tits, and ohh, that was good! But the question wasn't necessary. Even he knew that was what I wanted at that moment.
“I am going to f…”
The hard knock from the door interrupted, and we both veered towards the door at the same time.
“What?” Hans called out angrily.
“It is I, General Lykon, and I am carrying bad news.”
Must they always come up with bad news? What happens to a good one?
Now what? Axel has escaped?
“Check the internet; Rowan is alive.”
